Residence Inn Southington

We had a queen bed with a sofa pullout. The queen bed was uncomfortable & more like a full. The sofa bed appeared to be broken & we could not sleep on it. 2 of us got no sleep due to the sofa bed. Our phone in the room was also not working when we tried to contact the front desk. Very nice staff, but room was horrible.

The room was outdated with a couch that should be thrown away. The bed linens are old and the clorox smell on them is unbearable. The drip from the shower head, loud traffic from highway, and hearing every step of the people directly above the room most of the night. This might be normal for an extended stay but I expect more from a marriott property.

Bad experience all around. They do not have enough housekeepers to make the 4pm check-in a reality. As a result there is a bottleneck of guests at 4pm who are pissed off and freaking out in the lobby. Veins bulging, screaming at the poor desk clerk. That's how your stay begins. What made me cringe was that we returned to the hotel at 10pm on a Saturday and the outside door was propped open, the inside door was propped open, there were no employees at the desk, or anywhere else. We waltzed in, (could have stolen whatever we wanted) and went to the elevator where there is no key security. You just push a button to any floor. The hotel was completely unsecure. We were 5 minutes past 10 am the next day and the breakfast bar was cleaned out and locked up. Asked to get in the mini-fridge for some milk and was told they don't have the key. Find somewhere else to stay.

What a great place to stay!! Sergio and the rest of the staff were beyond hospitable, accommodating, and nice! They assisted myself and my family with whatever we needed. Definitely will return to stay here when we get back to CT!!

Love the place, stayed here for conference while anttending conference at the ESPN office. All the team members were great, special Kudos to Divya for amazing hospitality. Breakfast staff was great as well, he greeted with nice smile (sorry did not get his name) and the lady who checked me in on Dec-3rd around 6:30 pm was great too (I forgot her name too). Stayed in studio room; room was specious with basic amenities, they did not have body lotion in the room the room amenities, however provided when requested at the front desk. Keep up the good work guys.

Nice place to stay where you get a bit of space with a living room and a kitchen. The breakfast buffet was much better than expected. Janette at the front desk was awesome. Super friendly and helpful. Really made the trip special.

What can I say? The moment we walked into this spacious, charming building; the experience has been phenomenal The staffs have been amazing Janette, the lovely young lady ever smiling, polite , and frankly is an exquisite young lady and hostess I will recommend your hotel to anyone at a heartbeat Thank you
