Great location and comfort will stay here again.The food at the Metropole was awesome…..The Steak was perfect and hard not to order after spelling it from my balcony being cooked….

We were pleasantly surprised with this hotel, as we had originally thought we were booking into the other OAKS hotel in town. The room was very well equipped, clean and tidy and quiet. Just a short walk to many restaurants and upstairs from the Metropole Hotel, which had very nice food.

Value for money, well equipped room and clean. Although at the end of palmer street it does provide free off street parking. Easy enough to walk the street to get to pubs, restaurants and the stadium.

What a lovely apartment. A really comfortable bed. We had a nice view of the harbour, and there was chairs and a table on the balcony to have breakfast on. It had a mini kitchen, hot plates, kettle, mircowave, sink, plenty of cups glasses and cutlery. A lounge and coffee table. Ironing board and iron and a washing machine and dryer. A small bathroom. Under the Hotel is a pool and out the front is a family friendly pub, which we ate at. We stayed only 1 night but would have happily stayed longer. Very close to the magnetic island ferry ( 1 km)

The rooms were supposed to be serviced daily, this was not the case. Rooms are not clean. View from patio is terrible. Not worth the money paid to stay here. Wifi is terrible.

Only problem I had was the smell of mould. Otherwise it was clean. Reception could be a bit more friendly.

My room had an amazing view, as well as a kitchenette and laundry facilities which were both very handy during my stay. There were also heaps of great food options on Palmer Street. The staff were incredibly accommodating when I needed to extend my stay a few days due to a family emergency. Overall it was a great experience and I’d definitely stay there again.

The location was overall good. Nice restaurants and pubs close by and Magmatic island ferry close by. A bit of a walk to the stand but it is doable. As for the room, I was extremely disappointed. Our room had multiple stains, ripped carpet, holes in the wall from a previous aircon, Woodend furniture very worn on all edges and not to mention I was sharing the room with gecko's. The swimming pool is always in the shade so it was freezing cold (might be ideal during summer though).

I stayed at the Oaks Metropole on Monday night, the room was extremely smelly, the carpet was mouldy in numerous locations, there were other unknown stains and substances on the carpet. There was dirty linen in the cupboard where I had to hang my clothes. The bedside table and desk chair were damaged. The toilet was damaged and leaking. I went to reception to report the issues, in particular the dirty linen, the receptionist told me there was nothing she could do; however, she would leave a note for the manager. No help to me I was leaving at 6.30am. Stayed at the property about 4 years ago and it was good, what a shame to see the decline in condition and cleanliness. Certainly not what I would expect from Oaks. I won't stay at this hotel again, nor would I recommend it to others.
