The reception gave me a bottle for free when I asked him for water, he told me he usually costs money to buy.
When asked if the cereal in the kitchen is complimentary for breakfast I was told it is only free if I give good review after I checked out, otherwise I will be back charged $200. I just stayed away from it during my stay. I cannot tell if he is joking or serious. But I worry that he has my credit details.

Very clean and Tidy. Very well exceeded our expectations. This was a last minute booking and the only place available closest to our conference centre venue. When we initially saw the 3.5 star rating online we were very skeptical in regards to what to expect. However the place was very well kept and condition great. The phone service was quite abrupt and phone manner was very rude and poor. The communication through email was very through. Otherwise a great experience.

The best staff. Answered all our problems really efficiently especially as we booked in early to use the toilet. Best bed ever wonderful location right next to Albert Park walks. At this price I seriously don't know how they do it especially with a free breakfast. We will be back.

This is a very understated place to stay in the heart of South Melbourne. The room what is spatial suppose the bathroom in the bed was extremely comfortable. We enjoyed a lovely breakfast and I would highly recommend this as a place to stay when you don’t want to spend a million dollars. Everything was neat and clean in the room and the view over the city lights at night was lovely.

The staff was rude and the room was filthy. Will not be staying here again. There was hair all over the room, in the shower, and the sheets. The bed was clearly not clean and the room had not been made up. When we brought the concern up to the staff, they told us we could leave. This place is a joke.

Tried to say here, however the key would not come out of their key box and they gave me a code for a spare (as there is no staff in their office). I told them I felt unsafe staying with the main key missing, and the owner called and actually no joke YELLED at me over the phone. Refused to issue a refund for the room I did not stay in as well. The most unprofessional experience I have ever had. The room was not clean either which the owner stated was “a separate issue”. Highly recommend not staying here. Spend your money elsewhere.

Lily sands is a waste of your hard earned money!! Not only is the lift dangerous, the smell of rodents throughout the building and we also had a bait station in the corner of our room. Felt sick after 25 minutes and promptly left!! Someone needs to get in touch with appropriate authorities in Victoria. I’m back in my home state now and am struggling to find the right channels to report to.

The room was exactly as showed in the pictures: small but cozy and very clean. The area where the hotel is located was just ok; restaurant, pharmacy, cafes etc are ten minutes walking and the area seems safe. Checking in was pretty easy has they send you a code by message how allow you to have the swipe to enter in the building and then in your room. And check out is equally easy ad right at the left of the thing how give you the keys you'll find a box where to return the keys on the check out day. The only thing I did NOT like was the receptions. Unfortunately it was just via phone call, no one was physically at the reception. To be honest I think someone should ALWAYS be at the reception, even if not for the whole day but someone needs to stay at the desk.
