We recently joined some family friends at The Postcard Cuelim, and it felt like the perfect Goan getaway. The staff are so warm and welcoming—they really made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. You can tell they’re the heart of this beautiful place. The food was amazing, with fresh and tasty meals from breakfast to dinner, and snacks in between. What really won me over was the "anytime breakfast"—perfect for me since I can never wake up on time! Being able to have breakfast for dinner was such a treat, and it gave off this relaxed, Portuguese vibe that I loved. Our room was super spacious and luxurious without feeling over-the-top. I spent a lot of time just chilling on the balcony, sipping lemonade and buttermilk, and enjoying the quiet afternoons. The local chefs here are also great—if you’re craving something like Pork Sorpotel, Mushroom and Green Pea Xacutti, or fresh Pomfret, they’re happy to make it for you. They really know how to bring out the best local flavors. My parents loved the peaceful morning walks too—there’s a beach about 15 minutes away, and the fresh air and morning walks did them a world of good. It’s such a nice way to start the day. The property is also a photographer's dream, with views of green paddy fields and a 350-year-old chapel right on-site. We barely left the hotel because we were having such a good time just relaxing and soaking it all in. My mom, who’s super picky, even said it’s the best hotel she’s ever stayed in and that the beds were the comfiest she’s slept on! If you’re looking for a peaceful, easygoing place to unwind, I’d totally recommend The Postcard Cuelim. It’s one of those places you’ll want to come back to again and again.
