Hotels Near Chapel Nossa Senhora da Piedade in South Goa

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Courtyard by Marriott in Colva, and it was an absolutely delightful experience. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the warm hospitality and attention to detail that this hotel offers. Here are some highlights from my stay: 1. **Exceptional Staff**: The staff at Courtyard by Marriott truly went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable and memorable. They were courteous, attentive, and always ready to assist with a smile. 2. **Excellent Cleanliness**: The hotel maintains an exceptionally high standard of cleanliness. My room was spotless, and the common areas, including the lobby, restaurant, and pool, were immaculate. It’s clear that the housekeeping team takes great pride in their work, ensuring a hygienic and pleasant environment for guests. 3. **Proximity to the Beach**: One of the best features of this hotel is its closeness to Colva Beach. Just a short walk away, the beach is easily accessible, making it perfect for a morning stroll or a sunset view. The convenience of being so close to the beach added a special touch to my stay. 4. **Comfortable Rooms**: The rooms are spacious, well-designed, and equipped with modern amenities. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the balcony offered a lovely view of the surroundings. It was a perfect retreat after a day of exploring. 5. **Dining Options**: The on-site restaurant served a variety of delicious dishes, both local and international. The breakfast buffet was particularly impressive, with a wide range of options to suit every palate. Overall, my stay at Courtyard by Marriott, Colva, was nothing short of fantastic. The combination of excellent service, cleanliness, and the prime location near the beach makes it a top choice for anyone visiting the area. I would highly recommend this hotel to both leisure and business travelers and look forward to staying here again in the future!

When we arrived (me and my older teenage daughter and son) we were so disappointed… the hotel seemed hold, not clean, very small, not 4*. The room was small, especially considering we needed one extra bed. We stayed 6 nights and all these bad experiences we’re compensated by the way we were treated. From the reception staff (unfortunately I didn’t keep his name), to the bellboy Summit, to the restaurant staff especially during breakfast and at the egg corner, people would go out of their way to make our stay a better one. They even changed us for a bigger room without extra payment, as soon as they had one available. Although I don’t think it’s a 4* property, we enjoyed our stay here and felt very welcomed. The beach is a 5 min walk and the Colva Beach Village (with shops and restaurants) a 10-15min walk. Plenty of taxis if you don’t feel like walking.

Negative: hotel is far from market, there is not a single shop for atleast 800 m so you need to walk 1 km to buy anything. No option in breakfast : got bread toast idle on first day, bread toast + paratha on second day. No additional berk fast item. Ensure ac and tv set top box is working as those were out of service. Positive: staff is good and cooperative. They shifted us to new room where ac was working and set top box replaced. My suggestion avoid visiting south goa as there are limited hotels or shopping options. No taxi or rickshaw accessible and they charge very high fares : rs 600 for 7. 5 km from station to hotel.

Firstly, the staff at the front desk is not friendly or welcoming. The staff from the breakfast room is much engaging, smiley and friendly in general. The front desk should take lessons from them! The breakfast was tasty and plentiful. I would suggest that you have another protein option for non-veg eaters like a chicken dish. Otherwise, it very nice.  The room was not what I viewed in the photos while booking. It was dark with wood paneling and it felt as if the walls were caving in. The room could use some white painted walls to make it feel bright and fresh. The bathroom also needs an upgrade- it's a bit dingy. The towels have seen better days- the bathmat was dingy and grey- a bit gross but we survived.  The pool is very nice but all the lounge chairs are right next to one another. And, there are only 8 for all of those guests? Umbrellas should be replaced with white ones so that they don't fade in the sun- good hack. 

Far from the beach (3 km), but there is a transfer from the hotel upon request at a time. Breakfasts are great!!! better than other hotels - choice of dishes and even has a coffee machine....which is very rare in India (though for an additional fee) they provide beach towels - also not often in India water in the room, internet Nearby there is a shop with drinks and a mini market Nearby there is an excellent cafe FISHKA - the best place for dinner in Goa that we visited - I recommend it to everyone Overall, the best hotel of the three in Goa that we visited during our 12-day vacation and at the same time cheaper than the others. This hotel in Goa is a great option for those who don't want to overpay! Yes, the rooms are simple, in some places you can see that it's not new, but everything is clean and tidy. Beautiful territory, 7-10 minutes to the beach (there is a transfer). The beach is good. There are cafes with sun loungers. The hotel has modest, but overall good breakfasts. At first we thought that the hotel was so-so, but after moving to another one (because there were no available rooms for all the dates of our stay), for the same price with a rating of 4.6! with terrible breakfasts with swarms of flies, smelly and leaking air conditioning, dirty pool, ancient furniture and plumbing, we realized that the first hotel is just a bomb for 350 yuan! I advise everyone who is looking for a budget holiday with comfort! 👍

This resort has the potential to be good as it looks well, has a decent pool area and the rooms are well proportioned. There is just something missing in the fine detail of running a resort. Breakfast was decent but we found dinners disappointing, particularly the risotto which was delivered cold and then seemingly microwaved when we pointed this out. We attended a Sao Joao pool celebration which was a bit disappointing, it supposedly started at 12.30 but decorations were still going up at 1pm. Most disappointing was when we arrived very early due to a night train arriving four hours early but we’re not offered as much as a glass of water and when we asked if our bags could be stored whilst we purchased breakfast we were told no and just to eat poolside. Saying that most other staff we dealt with were friendly.
