Just a quick note to say how much i enjoyed my stay at the hotel last week. Ian on reception was especially helpful and friendly during my time there - a genuine asset to the business. I will definitely be back again in the future. The bar looks completely transformed since the last time i stayed there.

Tried to check in at desk but couldn't. Someone came out and went to a cupboard and spoke to us with their backs to us so we couldn't hear them. Pleasant enough chap, but a silly place to have their computer located. Got in to room Friday 4pm. Came downstairs to meet family. No one behind bar. All serving at a wedding. Had to keep looking for staff to buy a drink. So many people waiting. So very expensive too. Had dinner in the Brasserie about 20 of us. The staff were amazingly helpful, although not enough of them so very slow. Got up and couldn't get out of our room. Called 0 to call reception. No response. ( This was the case every time. ) Thank goodness there was not a fire, apparently the phone had been disconnected to reception. I had to call a friend who went to reception. Someone came to room, got someone else, maintenance called, they came and basically kicked the door in. We were told to go to breakfast, they would locate us elsewhere and keep an eye on stuff in room. Breakfast was delicious, plenty to eat. Hubby went back to room while I met another member of family. When I got back to room we had not yet been moved. Waited another 20 mins. Hubby went down. Moved to room on 2nd floor. Said they would help us down when leaving Sunday. We then had a mad rush to get ready as parents of groom and got to wedding at Tudor Barn with minutes to spare. Checking out and, of course, no one was answering the phone in reception. A cleaner helped us down with our stuff. Upon checking out we were told no phone was connected to reception. So dangerous to lead people into believing help is at other end of phone when, in reality, this couldn't have been further from the truth. So glad they wedding was not held there. The staff did their best and were apologetic. Certainly would not recommend at all.

Another fantastic stay at Burnham Beeches!! My friends and I meet up there regularly for catch up. Great beds and bedding, beautiful decor and super friendly helpful staff. Shout out to Harry in the brasserie- a very daper, fun chap who always remembers us and is so warm and accommodating with our special seating and poached egg requests!!!

Absolutely terrible! Overpriced for a tiny room with radiator pumping out heat. Managed to turn it off eventually and opened the window to the world with no privacy. Looked forward to breakfast but this was a joke. Buffet style but all the food was luke warm. No choice of eggs , just scrambled. Coffee was also half cold. I have stayed in guest houses with better facilities. Never again!

After a year away abroad, my friend surprised me with an afternoon tea at my favorite tea room none other than the Burnham Beechs. I was very pleased to see the modern changes to reception and the bar and Harry informed us that the changes are continuing in the rooms and dining room. I had missed the taste of the wonderful scones and the fresh sandwiches and sweets, but also the professional service as always from Harry. I look forward to visiting again for a relaxing weekend when the renovation is finished and the Spa opens. Thank you Harry once again.

This hotel was an absolute treat to stay at. We had booked the dinner, bed and breakfast rate. Upon arrival the staff on site were incredibly helpful in the check-in process and went above and beyond to upgrade our booking. The suite we stayed in was beautiful! It contained a large bathroom, a large lounge area with a mounted television and a desk with various amenities, and finally a very large bedroom with air conditioning and another television. I was very impressed with the cleanliness and the general decor and aesthetic of the room. Dinner was lovely, most notably was that the staff prepared a surprise birthday dessert plate for my partner when they overheard it was their birthday. Truly felt touched and welcomed at how above and beyond the entire staff went throughout our stay. The bed was very comfortable which then led into the next day where we enjoyed a lovely continental breakfast and a full English breakfast. We certainly did not leave the establishment hungry! Overall, I am very content and satisfied with my stay at the Burnham Beeches Hotel. My only critique was that the lifts were out of service due to the ongoing construction until Winter 2024, however, I was already aware of this when I made my booking. Furthermore, the construction itself was not noticeable from the suite room we were in. The Wi-Fi was a tad slow from the rooms, however, this is to be expected from most resorts located at the end of a series of long winding country roads. Despite all this, the pros by far outweighed the cons, which is why my final conclusion is that it was a brilliant hotel to stay at.

So disappointed. I had a preferential rate with a local event, and even that was way too much. The hotel is currently mid renovation I think - and it could absolutely do with some TLC. The staff were absent. There was no one on the bar and I had to go to reception to find someone to tell and then go back to the bar to wait. The room I was in first was shabby, with peeling wallpaper and no AC, just a fan from reception. No one answered the phone at reception despite me calling 5 or 6 times, so when I went downstairs I asked if they had a room available with AC and they said no. Then a party started and the music and DJ were so loud I could hear him clearly asking people to ‘make some noise’ from inside my room. I called the number off Google (as no one was answering on my room phone) and reception told me the music would stop at 10. When I asked if they were sure, they said actually midnight. So I asked if I could move. They moved me to a room far away (I’d been on top of their event space before) that had AC. I pointed out I’d asked and probably would’ve paid to upgrade (it was a much nicer room) but apparently someone had cancelled since my query. This room was much nicer, but still a bit shabby. I’ve given two stars because the food was great.
