Great hotel, only issue is the shuttle is never on time and to get from the hotel to main town in the middle of summer was a chore in itself, hotel staff were great and pool and views were great

This hotel completely exceeded my expectations. The staff are all so welcoming from the pool attendants to the cleaners. The hotel is beautiful, stylish and clean. The rooms are so spacious and the views from all over the hotel are incredible! The food served was always delicious. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel as an excellent base to explore the surrounding area. There is a shuttle bus that is reliable and punctual that takes you down to the busy centre. We were glad our hotel was outside of Sorrento as it is much more peaceful up the hill and the views are well worth the short trip on the bus. Fabulous hotel!

We got a free upgrade from the Annex to a room with a balcony and the view across the bay of naples was amazing.We had a problem with our room door not closing properly and it was fixed within hours (very happy). The free bus to and from Sorrento was very reliable. The food in the resturant was excellent as was the service. The Breeakfast was far better than expected and the staff acroos the hotel were great. I especially feel that the staff in the resturant and at breakfast were very attentive and pleasant which made our stay that little bit more special.We had a wonderful holiday and The Grand Hotel Aminta played a major role in it. If we come to Sorrento again we will be staying here again.

We had the BEST week staying at this hotel. From the front desk, waitstaff for breakfast, house keeping to the bartenders (Especially Antonio) it was AMAZING. I am a previous restaurant owner and worked in the hospitality industry for years. I couldn't figure out how everyone was amazing until days later we were told the hotel is locally owned and the owner comes in frequently. Which we did see him one night. Anyway, the views are amazing. They do have a shuttle but you'll probably still need a taxi some, but it was worth it. We had such an amazing time and alot of it was Grand Hotel Aminta itself and all the staff. The pool and hot tub were great too! You can't go wrong with this hotel.

Very nice staff and clean hotel, but the facilities of the hotel did not live up to what at least we are used to and expect at similar priced four star hotels. No free water anywhere, not even at the gym, no bathrobes (only for certain rooms), very poor and limited breakfast selection- only ham, cheese and marmalade were offered as bread toppings, no fresh fruit except for one melon (otherwise only canned fruit), no fresh juices (only prebought sugary juices).
Furthermore, the hotel i situated high up from the centre and the hotel offers a shuttle service to/from the centre, but unfortunately that is not something you can count on as such service too often sends a minivan instead of a buss (even during the most popular hours) which resulted in half the queue or more not making it down and therefore have to wait a whole further hour before the shuttle “service” could take them down. Luckily we had a rental car and could drive ourselves, otherwise we would have been stuck at the hotel every other day.
