Popular Surakarta 4-star Hotels

This my second stay in last 2 months, just havent got chance to wrote some review. We stay for 2 nights on each occasions, i bring my wife, 3 kids below 9 and my mom. We book executive room, which has small livinv room with couch. Good room size, clean, bright, comfy bed and couch (can accomodate for 1 adult to sleep), but Pillow is too hard so i ask for replacement. Bathroom was also clean and has nice ambience, aminity was okay. Check in and check out process was fast and efficient, staff was kind and attentive. Swimming pool size was good, no slides etc but its okay. I tried their room delivery bfast and buffet. Buffet serve various menu but taste wise is average. In room dining serve good portion and menu variety (i choose american breakfast). The only minus point is locations, surrounded by bus and train station in bit strander area so we need car to reach nearest restaurant or supermarket. But it should be not a problem if you brought car. To conclude everythung, we love our stay in this hotel and it become our favorite in Solo. We usually stayed in Alila but now we prefer Swisbel hotel.

The hotel is clean and comfortable. Oldstyle hotel, but well maintained... Guests amenities were complete and in good condition. But the service from the front office seems too stiff and not flexible. I was just asking if possible to have late checkout at 12.30, but the answer was just ”CAN NOT!!! THE HOTEL IS FULL TODAY”, in an unfriendly voice. While it is Ramadan month, and i know the hotel is currently not busy at all. Well, despite of the frontliner stiffness, the hotel is still very recommended...

I stayed with my family only for transit on the Bali-JKT trip. When we arrived it was raining, there was no security guarding the front of the hotel, so we went back and forth to get our own things in the car in the rain. The front of the hotel is being renovated. When I wanted to check in, I saw the receptionist playing on his cellphone. We booked a superior room. The room is a bit cramped. When we wanted to order food, no one answered the phone. My husband went straight to the restaurant, it turned out the employees were chatting. For breakfast there is not much variety. What a bad experience staying here. Hopefully this can be of concern to hotel management. Thank You.

The security guard's greeting was ok, the cashier to check in was friendly, there was a small incident in the room using the lift to the 2nd floor, the lift suddenly closed by itself when my wife was about to enter, her hands weren't clamped, usually the lift won't close if there are still people, but it's ok. deluxe room has a king bed, has a work desk, lounge chairs, has a refrigerator, storage for things, a large cupboard, the bathroom has a bathtub, hot water. The receptionist's telephone number is answered quickly, there is a spa, free swimming pool, free gym, free sauna , and the most awaited food in the restaurant is a lot of choice, it's delicious, like a 4 star hotel. If you're in Solo, I think you'll still choose Sunan as a place to rest. Thank you Sunan for accompanying me on my holiday, I hope the service will be maintained and improved again. The staff is very friendly, the food is delicious & there are lots of choices, but the smoking room doesn't have a view out so it feels like you're trapped, the room is spacious, the balcony is beautiful, the shower is really great to make you sad hahaha The only thing that makes it a bit unfortunate is that most of the interior plant decorations still use artificial (fake) plants, even the pools also use synthetic grass. Even though the concept of the hotel is good, classy, ​​luxurious, it's a bit eye-popping if it has that. Maybe the maintenance would be easy & cheap, but yes, in 4* hotels there is no budget for caring for native plants. Hopefully it can be corrected. Next time I go to Solo again, I will definitely stay there again. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

The hotel has an unbeatable price/performance ratio and extremely friendly staff. Unfortunately we were only there for one night, a longer stay would have been fun. The room was very spacious and the bathroom had a separate area for the toilet and shower. The interior of the entire hotel is based on the colonial style, but is enhanced with individual sculptures and paintings. This is particularly evident in the very tastefully designed hotel lobby. There is an included afternoon tea service on the hotel roof by the swimming pool, where you can relax a bit. It is also very close to the train station. A clear recommendation.

Just recently stayed for four nights at Solo Paragon Hotel for business trip and enjoyed my stay overall. To be very honest, Solo Paragon was not my first hotel choice when I looked at accommodations in Solo for this business trip. However, there was no other options left when I wanted to reserve as Solo had multiple international events during my time there. Pre-arrival impression was unpleasant as when I texted them requesting for airport pick-up arrangement, they turned down my request immediately stating that they were busy with the international event. Moreover, I requested assistance to send some packages from the hotel but again they turned down my request stating they did not provide that service. I have been working in the hotel industry for a while and fully understand that these two were supposedly the basic service offered to guests, let alone by a property at Solo Paragon Hotel level. At this stage, even before arriving to the hotel itself, I was devastated and had actually looked at other accommodation option. However, as everything was on prepaid basis I decided to just go with it. The tide started to turn when I decided to give the hotel a call one day prior to arriving, as I wanted to understand more about the city (this is my very first visit to Solo). Patty - the lady who picked up the phone, was super helpful answering my questions and really getting me prepped up for my trip. Throughout my stay also, I coincidentally met her almost every day of my stay (usually in the afternoon). She was always being nice, helpful, and friendly. She even assisted me to plan a short tour around the destinations in Solo. Her presence at the Front Desk really brought positive ambience there, in addition to of course all her colleagues in the Front Desk and Lobby area - including the Security team. Solo Paragon Hotel is also located in the heart of Solo, make it super easy to go everywhere. There are Solo Paragon Shopping Mall just downstairs - shops, coffee shops, night markets, and restaurants in walking distance - and also going around by car feels close to everywhere. Definitely recommended for travelers seeking for easy access to various places in Solo. At this stage, the great staff and strategic location really made my business trip convenient and at this point I had forgotten my unpleasant pre-arrival experience. However, still there are some points that requires upgrade for Slo Paragon Hotel to get their perfect 10/10 experience. First, I felt that there were no standards in the Housekeeping service; sometimes they left the bathroom door open somethings they did not, sometimes they folded the bath mat above the toilet sometimes on the floor, sometimes they brought spare laundry bag and form when I requested for laundry service and sometimes they did not. The hotel used to be beautiful ounces upon the time….. about 30 years ago. Today is awful, dirty bathroom, dirty linen , broken furniture in the room… I could go on and an but it is not worthy just look at the bathtub photo.

Good location, hotel room is very nice, big swimming pool, big parking area. Very nice hotel in Solo👍👍
