This hotel is located centrally, only a 3 minute walk from Vitosha Boulevard and about a 15 minute walk from St. Alexander Nevski Cathedral. We were lucky enough to have room 303, which was a good size with an extensive balcony/ terrace. As the weather was so good we often sat out there in the afternoon, even got a tan. The room itself is furnished well with a quirky, mismatched, vintage kind of vibe. The two things that really set this hotel apart from others is that the staff are simply amazing. So welcoming & nothing is too much trouble. You feel like you are staying at an aunts house as opposed to a hotel. On arrival there were chocolates on the pillow and one day a gorgeous fresh cake was left for us in the room. Yum yum. They even gave us a couple of bottles of water when we left to keep us going on the journey. For me customer service can make or break a place and here it certainly makes it, There is a complimentary happy hour provided early evening with local beer/ wine & even some spirts, along with a huge selection of snacks and homemade canopies. It was lovely to communicate with the staff and other guests. The other amazing thing is the buffet breakfast, such a vast array of food, lots of local produce, meats, cheeses, breads & pastries, as well as eggs, bacon etc. Also different types of coffees/ tea's/ cold drinks. You really couldn't ask for more. If I am back in Sofia I would definitely stay here again.
