The hotel is well located, 800 metres from the bus station and on the lake. The room was very comfortable and was very comfortable and was very comfortable. The hotel was very comfortable and was very comfortable. The facilities were pleasant, with a comfortable restaurant with breakfast and dinner, both of the buffet type with a variety of options. The hotel is located in the centre of the city, and the hotel is located in the centre of the city. In short, a great place to enjoy a pleasant stay in Toya Lake with a good quality/price ratio. The only negative thing is that there is only one outer onset, something small and the use of which is intercalled being one day for women and the next for men.

The most satisfactory hotel during the trip to Japan, the scenery is beautiful, the facilities are very complete, the hotel lobby is very design-oriented, the view from the room is really amazing, the view overlooking Lake Toya from the hotel is beautiful, it is simply a paradise on earth! The hot springs are also very good and worth experiencing. The only drawback is dining. There are many restaurants in the hotel, but reservations must be made in advance. I don’t speak Japanese, so communicating in English caused misunderstandings and I almost had no food! I will go here again next time I go to Hokkaido. I believe the scenery in winter will feel different.

Located about 50-minute drive from Toya Lake Onsen Street, it is all the way up hill toward the direction of Lake Shikotsu. My rental Toyota GPS can not locate the exact location of the hotel so I have to reply on my cell phone GPS. You have to drive through a small bridge to get over to the other side of the road where the hotel is located up on a slope. On the first look, how could they built such an enormous building on the slope ! There was a tour group checking in when we arrived, but check in with the reception is still fast. We stayed on the high floor where there is a lounge with a massage chair for guest use. Our room is a deluxe suite western + Japanese style, enormous in size, and very comfortable, looking over the river and hill. Two twin beds, sofa, Japanese style living room, closet, big powder room, bath, and toilet. It is one of the nicest rooms I have ever stayed in Japan. The onsen is again enormous. Very big indoor bath, with different taste such as apple. Outdoor onsen is again enormous, with tens of different ingredients in each smaller bath tub. Example of taste are honey, lavender. One of the most diversified onsen I have ever visited. When it comes to dinning, dinner or breakfast, it is a big let down. Both quality and choice is not up to my expectation with the beautiful onsen the hotel provides. However, the restaurant itself has a very nice environment, spacious and bright, and green outside. Overall it is a nice hotel to visit with reasonable price.

I had reservations for 2 rooms for a group of five for 3D2N on the 3rd week of December 2022. While the property is well kept and ground were impeccable, the check-in process is the worst experience I ever had in all my stays with the Marriott group of hotels since the 90s. It took an hour & 15 min to check-in, all because of some cultural pride of not finding the right people to do the job right from onset: at the drop off at the bellhop to billing at the frontdesk. The bellhop was a tall young Japanese lady who could not speak English at all. I was attempting to walk to the frontdesk as there were 2 coaches off loading guests simultaneously & I did not want to be caught with this large group of ten or more tourists. She refused not once but thrice with her out stretched arms to stop us from proceeding to the frontdesk with our luggage. Apparently, on highsight, she thought we were part of the other group & wanted to contain and corral our luggages. I gave up 😖 & regretfully let her & her co-workers take our 7 pieces of luggage. At the check-in, a young male bellhop assigned us to a senior looking male frontdesk staff who could not speak or understand English very well. It took him a while to get the paperwork done & when presenting the bill to be paid up full, it did not match the reservation booking which was a significant amount. It dragged on for another 20 min going back & forth with him. Using google translator helped a bit but again he could not reconcile the booking … I had to demand for our check-in to be handled by someone who could speak English but he refused & continue trying to communicate to me in his poor English. I had to raise my voice for help; kept asking him to let another senior member to assist us. Which caught some attention eventually. Fortunately, a young French lady who speaks Japanese & English, ironically was assigned to Japanese guests 🙄 came to our rescue. By this time, 45 min has elapsed, my family by then discovered our luggage has gone missing ! The silly bellhop tall Japanese lady who cannot speak English had grouped our bags with the larger group. She wanted to do her job well BUT did not understand there we were not part of the other group 😡 So silly way to run a simple hotel operation. Any attempts to ask any on the non-speaking Japanese staff to get an English speaking failed. It had to do with some silly cultural pride of not being competent to do their job that created this stubbornness and refusal to get an English speaking staff. Why 2-star rating instead of 1-star only because the English speaking French lady staff helped me to bring the billing attention to the duty manager who apologized for the delay & he resolved the billing issue eventually. Take note, I just stayed at The Westin Las Vegas a month ago in November & it took less than 5 min to check-in. What a stark contrast between this Westin Rusutsu & Westin Las Vegas. Shame that this winter ski resort bearing the Westin brand had

Traditional Japanese ryokan. Charming in an old style. Food is great, from the aspects of ingredients selections to presentations. The location is good too, closed to shopping street, next to the hell valley.. so near that we smell sulphur all the time. We had 2 traditional kaiseki dinners which were adventurous and amazing. However, we were put off by shark fin soup in one of the appetizer dishes. It is sad. Onsen water was genuine from my opinion. It made my skin and hair so soft and straightaway! Magic! However, the public onsen room was quite old and looked slightly unclean. This could be improved I think. The room was tiny. The shower/bathroom was also tiny. According to the size, I think our stay is overpriced.

Everything was lovely. The grand bath was an eye opener and I love it. The breakfast spread was good too! We had ramen at one of the restaurants in the hotel at around 830pm after watching the demon show. We stayed there for 2 nights and did not utilise the grand bath on the 2nd night. I was charged the osen for 2 nights. My friend was not charged for the 2 nights as he did not utilize the onsen. The staff should have asked me before requesting payment of the 2 nights. - Carrine

Following the route inn in front of Higashi Muroran Station, it is a new route inn in Higashi Muroran Nakajima Cho . There is a little table and chair even in the single, the size is sufficient . The public bath was not used, Breakfast buffet had Ikura and Tarako (tiger stick beach processing?), I enjoyed it quite well . Convenience stores are also unexpectedly right next door . Parking is large, so there will be no anxiety about car use .

GGuest UserThis is the first use. Stayed at my wife's birthday celebration. 3 F Japanese-Western style room with open-air bath in the East Building. I arrived earlier than 15:00 at check-in, but he passed me to the room early. When you attach the car, you will leave the car to the person in charge. You can see Lake Toya from the room. The large communal bath is located in Nishikan 3 F. There is a little distance, but it was saved because it was on the same floor. There is a sauna, so first go to the public bath. It was full, but it was vacant and enjoyed the sauna slowly. There is a water bath of 2 and one is a jacuzzi type. It has an autorouryu and can be put in 8 people. The clothes in the hall are separate types, and separate pajamas are also available. Supper is a French course. Other reviews said that the amount was small, but we were quite enough. There are plenty of alcohol and many types. After dinner, go to the second large communal bath. I also got Ochazuke from 22:00 and went to bed. Enjoy the sauna in the morning and have breakfast. Half buffet that can be selected from Japanese and Western. We choose Japanese food. The buffet is also ample for us on a plate with freshly cooked new rice and autumn salmon. It's delicious no matter what you eat. The smoothie was also delicious. The staff were overseas, but they were very good at customer service. Good room, good food, good spa, good service and great satisfaction. Thank you for your wife's Poot casually giving me a birthday celebration message and present with white chocolate for dinner dessert. It was an inn that I definitely wanted to use again.
GGuest UserHotel fill with activities for all ages. We went in a big family group of 14 pax ranging from age 9 till 80 and everyone loved Toya Sun Palace. Kids and teens enjoyed the wave pool in the water park where there were Stingray and Flamingo buoys to use free of charge and during the time of our stay there were 6 slides opened. However there was additional one bigger slide which required to pay a 500 yen extra if we’d like to use and they would give us a 4-6 pax buoy to slide down and this 500 yen extra was for 50 minutes. The place that our 6 kids (9-18 years old) enjoyed the most was the Game Center Arcade with variety of games for everyone. A big thank to the Japanese man who was on duty the night of our stay (12/4/2023), he was very kind and very generous and because of him we had the best experience ever in playing games at the game arcade. Sorry we didn’t catch his name. The onsen here was very good especially the outdoor onsen where we could enjoy the onsen while over looking at the beautiful Lake Toya. We stayed in both a Japanese Modern and a Western Modern and the only difference between them was the Tatami vs Carpet floors. Rooms were standard Japanese style room and were big enough for 3 in each room. Dinner buffet was good with an all you can eat Hagandaz ice cream and we all loved there Japanese steam eeg (ไข่ตุ๋น). And for breakfast buffet the food was ok for me since they didn’t provide yoghurt and not many varieties of vegetables salads however we were stunned by the beauty of Lake Toya scenery. Anyway my son and daughter loved Toya Sun Palace so much that they wish to visit again soon. We really enjoyed onsen and the Game Center plus a Ping Pong room so much and it was an unforgettable experience for all of us. Thank you Toya Sun Palace ❤️
