Lovely, comfortable and so inviting. We needed a place to stay en route to Durango, Co, and the Heritage Inn was perfect. Code accessible doors so we could arrive anytime, and a perfect quick continental breakfast before jumping back on the road.

I really struggle with this rating - I would probably put it at a 3.5. It wasn't average, but I can't rate it "very good". We stayed in the Coffee Cottage for a 1 night stopover, and while it is an adorable place that is probably the best option for the location, it still misses the mark on a couple of important things. Noise - there is a resident chicken/rooster across the parking lot from this room who is a very talkative early riser, with some friends who sleep in a little bit. There is also some road noise, and since this room is next to the area where food/snacks are, the combination of all these will likely have you up early. They did provide ear plugs (and a makeup towel), but since they were in a place that was kinda tucked under the upper shelf in the vanity, we didn't notice until the next day when we were about to leave. The other things are the fan, AC, and flooring. The AC is loud when it turns on, and I honestly thought there was a super loud grandfather clock somewhere till I realized it was the fan. There is also no way to walk from the bed to the AC nor bathroom area without the floor creaking loudly. Needless to say I didn't sleep much even though the bed and pillow were both super comfortable. Shower - even though their website does say private bath with jetted tub under the room description, it didn't occur to me that there wouldn't actually be a shower, especially since this room was formerly the honeymoon suite and their website lists walk-in showers as an amenity. The tub is large, but surrounded by drywall, so even though it has a spray handle, I didn't feel like either wasting that much water for a bath, nor trying to do a makeshift sit down shower attempting to keep warm and not soak the walls. This is something that could be made clearer before booking, especially considering the mixed messaging online. Breakfast - calling their continental breakfast "robust" is... a stretch. They had some mini muffins, then the rest being individually sealed bagels and other breakfast items like biscotti. It did seem like there had been hard boiled eggs, but none when we were there. Aside from these things, the place is absolutely adorable, staff was wonderful to deal with, the room was spacious and comfortable with plenty of well placed outlets, fluffy towels and cute decor. They have outdoor patio furniture where you can sit and enjoy the garden while eating. If I were to go again I would likely choose a different room, but would certainly stay here again.

Beautiful place! Room was exceptional and the bed one of the most comfortable I've ever slept on. The soaking tub was so nice - the design was modern and it was spacious enough to accommodate 2 comfortably. The room was quiet even though it's located off the main street; once in the room, we couldn't hear traffic or other noises at all. Courtyards & porch areas are beautiful & relaxing. Highly recommend staying here!

We were very disappointed. The photos that are posted on Tripadvisor are very old. According to the one person we saw on-site when we requested batteries for the remote and a blanket, new owners took over last year. This is a keyless, unstaffed inn. The photos show a wonderful home-cooked breakfast, which does NOT exist. Actually there is a little room with packaged continental breakfast items, hard-boiled eggs, breads, juice and milk. Any hotel chain that serves breakfast has better choices. Our room, the Blue Room #6 is up a very steep and unsafe stairway. We are not sure how the narrow treads met code. There is no elevator, nor any staff to help, so be prepared to carry your luggage up and down. The room was comfortable, but the AC was so loud that we couldn't sleep. We couldn't open the windows because there were no screens, though other rooms had them. The bed and chairs were fine but the pillows were awful and there are no reading lights by the nightstands - only two very low lights. The bathroom is huge but the shower is very small - and we are not big people! The room and breakfast room were very clean. There is no lounge, living room or common area except the front porch (too hot) or the little breakfast room, where you can get games and DVDs. The landscaping needs a great deal of work - the plants are overgrown over the sidewalks; none of the water features had water; plants needed to be pruned and hoses were laying all over the paths into the house when we arrived. We wouldn't stay here again. The grounds could be very lovely and there are a lot of nice outdoor seating areas, but they outside is not well kept up.

The Cooper House is top notch! The house was immaculate and perfect for my sister and myself. Instead of getting 2 separate rooms we opted for the house. Well stocked if cooking is your thing while on vacation. You could spend a few hours just learning the history of the house. This was a perfect home base for our visit to Petrified Forest National Park. The hosts were very helpful since we arrived late in the evening, it was dark and I was a bit confused as to which was the Cooper House, therefore, I had to call the host and she responded immediately and pointed us in the right direction. Also, I don't do dairy and it was a plus to have non-dairy milk and creamer. I cannot complete this review without giving kudo's to the groundskeeper. Beautiful Landscaping. Highly recommend The Heritage Inn if you're in Snowflake.

The Heritage Inn was recently purchased by a couple from Washington, and now can be found online under Heritage Inn and also Kabino.com. The antiques in the rooms are gone, replaced by more modern, but still very comfy, furnishings. My feelings about this are twofold: The antiques were charming, but large. The new furniture makes the area roomier. My room was warmed by a thermostat controled black iron fireplace. A walk-in shower replaced the claw-footed tub. The bathroom had plenty of towels. The windows had black pleated pulldown shades. There was no closet, but I couldn't remember the last time I hung anything up in a closet when I traveled, so no big deal. Eventually the large clunky room keys will be replaced with a keyless entry. Also in the future is the addition of a continental breakfast. Keep in mind that this is still an older building, so there is no elevator to rooms on the second floor. There are two restaurants within a block's walking distance, a Mexican one and a steak and sandwiches in the other direction.

I booked my room online, and when I arrived I was greeted by Craig, who was very nice & welcoming. He took my breakfast order and than showed me around. Craig then took me to the room I would be staying in. Once at the room Craig showed me how to use the heater if needed, the TV and were to find the wifi information. My room was amazing, it had a queen bed which was pretty high, but there were stairs next to the bed to use. It was great! The room was clean, inviting and the perfect size. Breakfast the next morning was also amazing. Very cozy and nice to talk with others guest as well as with Craig & Joanne. I had such a wonderful experience I booked another night.

This looks good on paper but we were very disappointed with our accommodations. The room was very small with a bed four feet high off the floor and the only chair was small and wooden. The plumbing in the bathroom worked marginally and the sink was horribly stopped up. What was the most disturbing part was the host. One wonders why he is hosting a bed and breakfast. We found him to be very curt, dismissive, and sometimes downright rude. One answer to a question was NO, rather than a sorry I can’t do that. He was not welcoming. We have stayed in many B&Bs and they are by far our favorite place to stay when traveling. You can meet so many interesting people and the hosts are always welcoming and fun to talk to. With many experiences under our belt I can safely say this is, by far, the worst. Since it is in the middle of nowhere it is one of the few places to stay but if, as a traveler, you have another option you would be wise to take it.

This is the most perfect place to stay! It's a perfect quaint little B&B. The owners are so kind! The rooms are nice and have that homey feel. The Inn is just the most adorable and cozy little place. And lets talk about the breakfast. Wow! Our taste buds were very satisfied! We will stay here every time we are in Snowflake moving forward. What a delight!
