Hotels Near Onan Road Green Space in Singapore

A bit far from the MRT station. I booked this because the price is good and it seems to be closed to the East Coast Park. Turn out it also takes a while to walk to the East Coast Park. But hotel staffs are very kind and helpful. Facilities are new and are in good conditions. Recommended if you are looking for a budget hotel!

Pretty clean and convenient hotel, not situated in the typical non-touristy area of Singapore. Tons of food options in the area with it being situated in Katong, which is laid back neighbourhood with bars/cafes/malls in the vicinity too. No onsite parking available but there’s road side parking. Situated near to the expressway that connects to Changi Airport, which is perfect for those looking for quick rest before heading to the airport. Only issue was some cobwebs on the roof of the toilet which was requested to be cleaned. Likely due to the housekeeping staff being short or probably because I am tall which I might run into it. 🤣 Room size isn’t that huge but cosy enough, no fascinating views since its shophouses and previously one of Hotel 81’s chain that was converted IIRC. Will visit again!

The room was quite small and it had a damp smell when we first arrived. Room without window feels a bit uncomfortable. The location is not near to mrt so have to walk quite far or take bus to the mrt station

I really enjoyed staying at this hotel. All the staff were accommodating and very hospitable towards us. They were even kind enough to even take care of our belongings when we were unable to bring it with us when we were at the concert. Overall, I would really recommend this hotel to all future bookers. PS. There are many restaurants which have delicious food which are just near the hotel and some are Michelin reviewed ones.

I wanted to take a moment to express my satisfaction with my recent stay at Hotel Indigo Singapore. From the reception to the room facilities, everything was top-notch. The tidiness and amenities were excellent, and the quality of the breakfast was outstanding. I will definitely stay at Hotel Indigo Singapore again in the future. The location is conveniently situated midway between the airport and downtown, with plenty of good restaurants nearby. I strongly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stay in Singapore. Thank you for providing such a wonderful experience. I look forward to my next visit.

Cons: - The whole hotel is undergoing renovation with hoardings/ tarpaulins around, had to walk over to another block via a transfer floor (also under renovation) and change lifts - Main pool and gym seems not accessible due to renovation works - Check-in took quite long to queue, even with all 4 counters in service, still by traditional pen-paper handling with requirement of deposit. Also noted some mass group room booking/ check-in probably by tours/ agents which largely took up reception’s capacity - Sound insulation is quite a problem. There was no seal under room entrance door (could see corridor light seeping through the bottom gap), and under separation door with adjacent room, could hear from neighbours quite clearly - Middle floor’s view of our room is limited to the podium pool (undergoing works), opposite hotel black and back lane of Funan mall. Reckon higher floors would have much better views - Windows of room are quite dirty from outside which affected the view. Single-glazing only, could hear city noises from time to time Pros: - Very convenient location at city centre right next to big Funan mall with direct connection to MRT and loads of food choice; right opposite to old fire station, Fort Canning Park, cathedral, etc; walkable to most city centre spots - Considerably spacious room in heart of city, which was recently refurnished with simple and modern touch - Clean interior, but with some touch-up on damaged toilet wall tiles. Some tiles seems to be replaced but with slight color variance with the remaining ones - Hot water with more than enough water pressure - Comfy beds and linens

Hotel located about 8 -10 minutes walking distance from the Dhoby Ghaut MRT station and Plaza Singapura shopping mall. Tips: look for the exit that is near the ”Istana Park”. However, there is a short walking distance where there is no shelter after exiting the MRT. Booked a windowless room, and the room size is quite small, especially the toilets. No complimentary mineral waters provided. Other than, all amenities are available. Comfortable enough for solo traveler.

The location is good, I think this hotel is mainly for travellers who just want to find a place to stay but mainly spends most of the time outdoors. My main complaint is the aircon, even after you turn off the aircon the wind is still flowing. The reception said the aircon is centralised, so I requested for extra thick blankets but even so it’s still very cold. I don’t mind the small room size, it comes with standard toothbrush/toothpaste, soap (assuming 2in one), hairdryer.
