We stayed here as a group of 8 people during our business trip and I can fully recommend the hotel. the area was great for us, lot of bars and restaurants and good night life. Further, the bus which brought us to the company every day was just around the corner (Bus no. 15). The hotel itself is very clean, has a big shower (so good!!!) and was cleaned every day. I liked that in the bed there was two different pillows, a soft one and a firm one! since I only like soft ones it was great for me! the stuff is really nice and helpful. booking taxi middle in the night for us or giving good tips as we had some issues with the credit card (it wasn't hotel fault, it was the bank!) and the best : the stuff is always smiling!! not to forget the nice orange juice machine (two!). having a fresh orange juice after the hot working day was great! I didn't take any pictures of the hotel, but I did from the juice machine :) Breakfast was nice and there is always something for everyone. me for my part love Asian food, so I enjoyed kaya buns and the fresh fruits. Also the coffee is nice and I loved the masala tea! Around the corner of the hotel you can eat famous Katong laksa! the best in the city in my honest opinion! Also five chicken star is nice place to eat since they are serving very good hainanese chicken rice. If you go down the street from five chicken star, you will find Mel´s Place, a nice beer garden with local people. You can watch football here, play billard or enjoy live music on some events. When traveling, I like to connect with local people and get more nice tips where to go, so my tips here are far away from the touristic areas and events.
Theres no bidet only selected room. Tv cannot be connected no chromecast or anything smart. So disappointed with things around here. Upon checking in there is no bathrobe no water bottled. Watermelon have to take from dispenser using our own bottle else purchase it at $5 at reception.
I had an amazing experience at Village Hotel Katong! I booked last minute and wasn’t sure if they’d be able to accommodate me, but the staff went above and beyond to make it happen. They made me feel welcome from the moment I arrived, quickly organizing a comfortable room and ensuring I had everything I needed for a great stay. The room was clean, well-appointed, and ready when I got there, which made everything so stress-free. Thank you to the wonderful team for turning a last-minute booking into such a pleasant experience. Highly recommend for anyone in need of reliable, friendly service!

My family and I had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Indigo Singapore Katong, an IHG Hotel, on June 1st, 2024, and overall, our experience was enjoyable with a few highlights and considerations.
Location and Accessibility:
Located in the vibrant Katong neighborhood, the hotel offers a unique blend of heritage and contemporary charm. It's well-connected to local attractions and offers a glimpse into Singapore's Peranakan culture.
Check-in Experience:
Check-in was smooth, and we were pleased to find that our request for connected rooms—a 2 Twin Beds Standard and a King Bed Standard—was accommodated promptly by the friendly staff.
Rooms:
The rooms were tastefully decorated, reflecting the Peranakan theme of the hotel. They were clean, comfortable, and well-appointed with amenities that suited our needs. Having connected rooms was particularly convenient for our family stay.
Breakfast:
While the breakfast was included, we found it to be average compared to other offerings we've experienced at similar hotels. The variety was somewhat limited, and the quality was satisfactory but not exceptional.
Service and Facilities:
The hotel staff were courteous and attentive throughout our stay. They were helpful in providing information about local attractions and dining options in the area. The hotel facilities, including the rooftop pool and fitness center, added to our overall enjoyment.
Overall Impression:
Hotel Indigo Singapore Katong provided a pleasant stay with its comfortable rooms, convenient location, and attentive service. While the breakfast could be improved, the connected rooms and ambiance of the hotel made up for it.
The hotel room is above my expectations, very clean, wifi is good, amenities are good (there's iron, ironing board, hair dryer & kettle), tv is good (I watched HBO while resting) and the water heater is working well. I didn't stay in the room the whole day as I was out for an event, so this room is more than enough for my trip. It was quiet at night. There's a supermarket nearby (Fair price at Jhoo Kiat Mall), there's also halal food nearby. I only ate at Nasi Lemak Hijau next to the hotel. Nice hot coffee, and toast during breakfast. Oh by the way their staff are very friendly. If you guys looking for a good budget hotel, I recommend this place.
Extremely pleased with the entire experience comparing other similar level of hotels, Santa Grand EC comfort, environment for work to its attention to details deserves 10/10 score.
Not forgetting the reasonable price and facilities
Was a decent hotel. Will come again if the budget is slightly limited.
Below here there's decent food locations and locations wise it's not bad.... Room is clean but aircon a bit not so cold. The water filter also sometimes doesn't work.... Still many space for improvement
Room is small but clean. Good for basic stays as not much of amenities. Can consider upgrading the Web browser on TV to allow for netflix streaming. Service is immaculate, left my charger and receptionist on duty this morning offered to check and retrieve for me before I asked. Kudos to the his client centric service.
A centrally located hotel with plenty of good food & entertainment outlets around this Geylang, Joo Chiat & Katong heritage heartland. Lots to see & explore.
Venue Hotel staff Joseph Ng (at the reception) was most helpful when we asked for more bottled water and extra pillows. The room may be small, but the air-con remained strong throughout our two nite's stay. Will definitely recommend my family & friends to stay here.
Fotos from various food outlets around hotel - King's Cart; Nimbus; Humble Beginnings; Tim Horton's (i12Katong); & VietBarn (opp hotel).
We rented the Room 403 A & B. The rooms are poorly maintained. The Air conditioning unit emits a pungent sourish odour that permeates my entire room and makes all my clothes smell bad! The stench was overwhelming. Also, there was an issue with dampness caused by the air conditioner, resulting in condensation on the bedsheets and clothing which made the room uncomfortable. Paying for the room in cash at the reception is excruciatingly painful because they never have change and could not provide any! Numerous times and it never occurred to them to prepare spare change! Totally unprofessional. The only positive thing I can say about this place is Johnna the receptionist’s warmth and friendly attitude. The poor girl seems to be handling everything by herself and yet; she still manages to put a smile on her face.

ZZaadA very clean and fragrant scented hotel. Well maintained air-condition. Rooms are clean although not very spacious, with in-room tea coffee making, a small fridge and safebox and hair dryer available. Functioning big TV screen.
Friendly staff and easy going making the check-in process smooth and fast. My request for early check-in was also fulfilled with no hassle.
Amenities around the hotel are excellent, with variety HALAL dining and shopping. A little far from the MRT/subway city train service but bustops are considerably near.
Overall a very satisfactory stay.
RRei04Booked this hotel IBIS BUDGET in Joo Chiat, and it exceeded our expectations! The hotel's location was incredibly convenient, with plenty of eateries, shops, and transportation options right at our doorstep. The room was clean, comfortable, and perfect for two. Ideal for travelers seeking a hassle-free stay in the heart of Joo Chiat. Highly recommended!
RRS JennyI stayed at this hotel during a transit layover, and it was conveniently located near all the restaurants that Singapore has to offer for a guest staying less than 24 hours. The rooms are small and lack a chair for putting on makeup, but that's to be expected for a room that costs 70 dollars. The bathroom fans are quite loud, but if you're not a light sleeper like myself, you should be fine.
SShabeeb RazeenGood hotel for a short term stay for layovers. 8kms away from airport and located very close to metro. Smaller rooms but shorter stays won’t hurt. They will keep your luggage for few hours after check-out for free if your flight is at night and you wanna go around and check the city around.
GGuest UserVery comfortable bed and pillow, decor very dated including bathroom. Shower was excellent though and the AC is super. Reception is tiny and in a different building to our room but only 100mtr away if even. Our room was very small but as it was a short visit it was fine. It’s quite a bit out from the city centre but excellent public transport very close.
