WORST HOTEL IN GREENVILLE!!! After checking out they put a $30 charge on my card for smoking. I have been a marriott member for over 10 years and I NEVER ever in my life smoked in a hotel room! I called back to speak to the GM and all she could say it was evidence I smoked. I left a lighter in the room that’s all!!! I smoke cigarettes I smoked outside the hotel!!! I even locked myself out the room and had to get another key because I smoked outside!!! The general manager made me so uncomfortable she basically called me a liar and hung up the phone in my face!! I would sleep outside before I ever come back to this hotel

Me and my husband has stayed here we had a very bad experience we let the front desk know that the people staying next-door to us in the next room over was literally being loud to 5 AM. They were making super loud noises and we asked them to take care of it and nothing was done. We didn’t get no sleep, we didn’t rest at all and nothing was done. Do not recommend this hotel if you’re trying to get away to relax.

Have had some awful hotel stays lately, at Marriott properties and elsewhere, so they have reminded me of how good our stay was at this hotel. Nothing fancy. Location is sorta meh (next to Waffle House and Dollar Tree). But this was one of the best Fairfield stays we've ever had. Just one night, but it was impressive. Older property, but it is obviously well taken care of. Common areas and room was spotless. Breakfast area clean, well-stocked and run by an attendant who was friendly and really good at her job. Clerk at front desk was outstanding, hit all the marks on check-in. Again, nothing fancy, but exactly what a stay at a Fairfield Inn should be.

So this hotel isn’t the nicest, isn’t the fanciest, isn’t the most expensive, or even middle expensive, has basic services, but in all honesty, it’s my go to if my favorites aren’t available in the Greenville area. Always clean always comfortable and always enjoy my stay. Definitely recommended.

We stayed for six nights. The staff was not very bright and superficially polite. Requested room location was not given, and had to change rooms twice to get a quiet spot away from the ice machine that kept waking us up. They put a $125 hold on our account above the room prices for "potential damages and incidentals" without telling us. Air conditioner made a buzzing whistling sound that was annoying and disturbed our sleep. Sound insulation is poor so we could hear the toilet and shower being used upstairs. Food was OK, but generic and bland. Security door in entrance portal was unlocked because of a defective door catch that we had to alert the front desk to. Beds were comfortable with three pillows per bed. Room was clean with plenty of hot water in the shower.

Upon arrival which my family had two rooms booked, it was discovered that the room with two beds appeared to have been smoked in. I went back to the front desk and requested a route change to which I was told they had no more rooms with two beds. The front desk clerk on duty was extremely nice and very professional I asked her to contact her supervisor which she did. The supervisor/manager that she called gave the same answer saying they had no room for two beds and we could either stay in the room that was musty and smelled like smoke or move to a king size bed with a sleeper sofa. Given that having to 75 year old ladies one sleeping on a sofa bed and the other on the king-size bed was not a desirable option. I requested to be moved to another hotel nearby to which the manager/supervisor refused from the phone. I was extremely disappointed given that I am a lifetime titanium elite and she was not helpful. In the end we were given no choice but to except the king size room with a sofa bed in the two unrelated 75 year old ladies slept together on a king size bed for five nights. There was no compensation offered even though we had had those rooms booked for several weeks. The Hotel Overall is extremely clean and well-maintained. Overall the staff was very friendly and helpful except during check-in. I want to point out the front desk agent was extremely nice and did everything she could do however she had to follow the guidelines being provided by your supervisor. The breakfast is a huge huge disappointment. Very limited selection the two hot items were in preheat bags each morning. My family and I chose to go to a restaurant and have breakfast given the limited selection and poor choices. In the future I am quite confident that we will seek a hotel elsewhere. They would not assist us and give us a room that did not have a smoke smell musty odor with two beds. The two ladies I was traveling with made the best of the situation however it was far from ideal and in my opinion could’ve been handled much better by getting lodging at another Marriott nearby in particular given lifetime titanium elite status.

Pulled out the couch and there was a hypodermic needle on the bed. When telling the front desk there was no response other than an apparent eye roll. No basic I’m sorry or anything else. I think a needle being left behind is a hazard and dirty, so beware.

Food was terrible at breakfast but the hotel is nice and a solid place to stay on the road. So it's a good stop - just outside of Greenville. It's a newer but not new Fairfield so all in all it's a solid place right off the freeway.

What can we say expect second stay was just as fantastic as first. Facility was clean and fresh? Breakfast was way more than adequate. Multiple choices all good. Entire staff beginning with manager were delightful. Polite and helpful. Best place we have stayed on multiple visits to Simpsonville. Highly recommend.
