Die Lodge und die Campsite ist wunderschön und mit viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet und dekoriert. Das Essen ist mit Recht hoch gelobt und fantastisch angerichtet. Nur der Saft zum tollen Frühstück mutete etwas künstlich an. Von der Terasse hat man einen tollen Blick auf die Landschaft und das, bei Nacht beleuchtete Wasserloch. Frikkie und Hilde sind tolle Gastgeber und kümmern sich sehr lieb um ihre Gäste. Selbst Leoparden werden von dem tierlieben Besitzer auf der Farm geduldet.

The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. The owner was very nice and personable and the dinner was fantastic. We loved watching the animals drinking by the water hole.

Je n'y ai passé qu'une nuit à mon grand regret. Endroit vraiment agréable et insolite. On dirait qu'ici le temps s'est arrêté. Les chambres sont spacieuses et lumineuses. Jolie terrasse. On peut garer la voiture juste devant. La collection de lithops est vraiment remarquable. La piscine très agréable. Et le propriétaire Friccki charmant!

This is a wonderful lodge in beautiful nature. The owners, caretakers and staff are top notch in making you feel welcome. The food is wonderful and tasty from breakfast to light meals and also three course dinners. The lithops research is fascinating also.

Such a great lodge with great hosts. The rooms are special overlooking springbok and other game coming to the water. Very nice surprise!

It was a magnificent stay, wonderful personnel and hosts! The chalets were beautifully decorated, very clean and spacious. The food was delightful and when the location is as beautiful as this one, you will want to come back. Also, this sundown trip was amazing!

We chose Alte Kalkofen Lodge as a stopover for our trip back to Windhoek, coming from Luderitz. We arrived very early but were given access to the rooms without hesitation. This allowed us to do the 3 km hike in the vicinity of the lodge. The rooms are generous with a verandah with a view to a watering hole where springbok can relax. Dinner and breakfast were excellent. The owners Frikkie and Hilde and staff were very kind and helpful. We can highly recommend this lodge as a stopover.

Luogo incantato, gestito da una coppia originaria del Sud Africa con il sangue francese… e si vede dalla estrema cura dei particolari sia delle location private che e soprattutto dei pasti originali e di qualità non scontata. Bravi!

We love to visit Alte Kalkofen Lodge. It is a few hours drive from Lüderitz and our Home away from Home. Frikkie and Hilde go out of their way to make us feel at home and enjoy our stay. We had the Selfcatering Bungalow and even had one of the male Ostriches very near the Bungalow feeding in the River. As it was a Birthday Surprise...we were surprised with the most delicious Chocolate Cake that Hilde baked for us. Thank you Hilde and Frikkie for a Magical Stay at your Lodge.
