It's right at the back door of the cathedral, and the location is very good.
The room is big enough and has a balcony. The view is very good.
A very perfect and complete medieval ancient city. It is beautiful and has an excellent Michelin restaurant.
The ancient city on the mountain has a lot of uphill roads. You need to take a taxi to the hotel door. If you have a lot of luggage, don't walk by yourself.

What's not to love about staying in a historic home, possibly in THE best location of this beautiful city? We had 3 nights in the beautiful Martini Suite (#1) with all views overlooking the piazza and the baptistry/Duomo, and we wished for more nights. Despite being crowded in the day, the piazza was silent at night. One night, we watched a thunderstorm from the room, which was dramatic! The welcome and assistance from Gisella, Rita, and all the team was outstanding. Breakfast is taken in the piazza itself, a little basic perhaps, but everything delivered with a smile. Expect a historic feel, not shiny minimalism, an old house, ready for guests who appreciate a stay to match this citys history. Thank you all. We LOVED our stay.

Visitatelo acquistando il biglietto cumulativo dell'Opera del duomo. Ambiente scenografico appena dietro il duomo stesso. Potete dedicare un quarto d'ora alla visita, più che sufficiente. In ogni caso trattenetevi ad osservare la fonte battesimale ed i suoi bassorilievi.

On s’attend à voir des fonts baptismaux dans un tel lieu… or c’est en travaux, caché derrière un paravent, comme à Florence, mais eux ont mis la photo de ce qui est caché…. Ici rien . Donc la visite n’est qu’à moitié réussie.. Ce n’est pas signalé à la billetterie ça manque de communication et de respect du visiteur.

If you were any closer to the Duomo, you would be sleeping on the altar! The location of this cosy and comfortable hotel really cannot be beat--close to everything of importance in this city. The room was comfortable and clean and the staff (particularly Rita!) was incredibly helpful. I highly recommend this hotel if you are visiting Sienna

Sin dal primo momento, quando ho telefonato per prenotare il nostro soggiorno in questo hotel, ho percepito cordialità e disponibilità verso gli ospiti! La gentile signora Gisella, si è occupata finanche del trasferimento dal parcheggio all’hotel. Questa bellissima struttura condivide la propria posizione con il maestoso battistero gotico di Siena! All’ingresso, l’accoglienza calorosa della splendida ragazza alla reception ti fa sentire a casa, con i suoi consigli e con fare garbato ti accompagna in camera! La camera è molto spaziosa e luminosa ma soprattutto molto pulita! Dotata di tutti i comfort (unico suggerimento: aggiungerei uno specchio in camera oltre a quello del bagno). Promosso a pieni voti! Sarà il nostro punto di riferimento per i nostri futuri viaggi a Siena!

The hotel is centrally located, quiet but a short walk to Il Campo. You are in front of the Baptistry but no need to worry about the church bells; it doesn’t ring every hour. The staff are wonderful, assisted us with restaurant reservations and suggestions. The room we got is the Giorgio Martini (hope I got that correct) room. Very spacious; bed is king size; with 2 windows in the main room opening to the Baptistry. The lighting can improve though as it’s sometimes hard to see yourself in natural light. Also the cabinet is a bit flimsy I was afraid to open it but that’s just nitpicking.

We chose Il Battistero for its location. There isn’t a place worth going in Siena’s Centro Storico you can’t walk to eith the bustle of the Campo and the glorious Duomo just steps from this hotel door. The hotel itself is lovely, with a welcoming lobby and clean, comfortable and stylishly decorated rooms. But what sets this hotel apart is the high level of attention and quality of service its excellent staff offer to their guests. Everyone we encountered during our magical three night stay starting on Christmas Eve was courteous, hospitable and dedicated to making sure we had everything we needed, like valet car parking, restaurant recommendations, a private wine tasting and breakfast delivered to our door every morning, Rita, Andrea and Patricia managed to be both warm and efficient at the same time and they all kindly, patiently and politely endured our attempts to speak their beautiful language. They are the reason why, when we return to Siena, we will stay at Il Battistero. Vincenzo e Stefano

Aperitivo con amiche , il posto è accogliente e intimo. Un buon Franciacorta e dei cocktail veramente buoni, elaborati e ricercati, accompagnati da piccoli assaggi misti favolosi e con porzioni più che sufficiente. Come sempre la gentilezza e cortesia del servizio impeccabile.
