Sidi Bou Said Hotels with Airport pickup service

The Royal Victoria Hotel, the former British Embassy, ​​has a first-class location, just at the entrance to the old city of Medina. It is very convenient whether you are visiting the Medina or going to the old city. Because it is an old building with a retro scenery, the elevator still has a manual door, but the facilities are a bit outdated and the room is not big, so it is not convenient for washing and drying during long distance travel.

The location is beautiful, super clean and well-served, the internet is not good. A serious problem we had was that the establishment offers you tourist transfers and to the airport, which operates you one of the gentlemen working on the site, at last we asked you to take us to the airport and send the child to make the Transfer, when we arrived, we charged 50% more than the recorded, we called the establishment and Lord refused to answer and finally we had to pay what they charged us, which seemed to us very unhappy, so be careful to this Lord.

The hotel is very new, the equipment is good, the most nice thing is that the hotel staff has no problem in English communication, and the room is automatically upgraded to a suite, giving a big surprise.

The rooms are large, beautiful, ok in a little hilllot style, beautiful bathrooms. The girl with the reception is very nice, I don't understand these criticisms. Most of all about the price. Of course we are not in George V in Paris, but we pay 15 times less!

She went beyond the expectations and exceeded it specially when we shared our food feed back. The fact that people care about your feed back and go the extra mile to fix its something we dont see often in tunisia. Keep it up and soon you will be number one in town !

La Tunisia è decisamente economica. Per mangiare, fare benzina, shopping… Gli hotel, però, non sono proprio regalati. Almeno, non se si prenota dall’Italia, tramite Booking e cercando un minimo di rapporto qualità/prezzo. Questo albergo, a dieci minuti a piedi da Porte de France e, quindi, dall’ingresso della Medina, ha un buon rapporto qualità/prezzo ed è perfetto per girare la città. Le camere - noi avevamo una tripla - sono ampie e funzionali. I letti comodi. Il bagno grande e ben organizzato. Buono anche il livello igienico e varia la colazione compresa nel prezzo. Unica cosa, forse, migliorabile il segnale Wi-Fi nelle stanze. La reception è aperta h24 e per chi viaggia in macchina poco distante c’è un parcheggio a pagamento custodito. Consigliato.

We had a lovely stay, a beautiful and hugely tasteful hotel in a quiet street. The breakfast was really good, with a range of fresh savoury and sweet options, amazing mint/lime water and coffee and eggs cooked to order. I loved the style of the place, the roof terrace, and the staff were all hugely helpful.

One star? Let me explain. The hotel looks wonderful - beautiful interior, and the food is absolutely delicious, and amazingly well presented. The swimming pool (it was too cold to venture into it) looked wonderful. So all well and good. But. The reception staff are EXTREMELY rude, lacking in communication skills and above all, portray the hotel in a negative way. When I checked in, about 9pm in the evening, all went smoothly. I went to my bedroom and used the electronic keycard - and opened the door and immediately thought ”the bed hasn't been made” when suddenly a male voice emerged from the bed. Someone was in my bed. I thought ”I've come into the wrong room” - but no, it was the correct room. Some unknown man was in my bed. Who was more startled - him or me? I immediately left the room, went to reception and told them, that there was a man in the bed in my bedroom. They took the keycard, and provided me with another one. NO apology, no explanation, no shock / horrified that this should happen. The receptionist DID NOT SAY ONE WORD. Just simply gave me the keycard and expected me to find my own way to the new room. I was really quite surprised at the lack of courtesy / apology. Two days later' time to pay the bill and leave. A person who I was travelling with (but not sharing a room) was at the reception. The hotel had charged her for drinks that she had either not had, or had paid cash. They were so reluctant to remove this amount from her bill when they discovered that a mistake had been made. Again ABSOLUTELY no apology, nor an explanation. Just ignored her.

The hotel is very good and it is very comfortable and very comfortable. The hotel is very friendly and efficient, the rooms are spacious, the air conditioning is efficient and the balcony is available to read the fresh in the evening. I tested the swimming pool which is particularly pleasant.

I went there on my own and I absolutely cannot confirm the previous bad review. This place is a hidden gem. I have never lodged in a place before where it was as calm as here. I could fall asleep and wake up to the sound of the waves without being interrupted by chats or noise from other guests. I thought I was there on my own. You couldn't hear anyone, although there were other guests. Hedi welcomed me very politely and he made me feel at home from the first second of arrival. I felt very at ease and there was no wish unfulfilled. Breakfast was served cold and hot, and every day you got a different surprise of fresh fruits or hot dish, and I loved their delicious fresh orange juice and you got more if you wanted. The room was very clean and I had a fridge, an iron and ironing board in the room. A TV with European and Arabic channels as well, but clearly didn't need this. If I needed any information or recommendation, Hedi provided it. I was able to work there as well, the internet signal is fantastic, and you have connection everywhere you are. The sea view is absolutely stunning. This is definitely pure luxury and even 10 stars worth. Thank you Sidi Hedi!
