My husband and I live near show low. We had a night away from the kids and had points so we used them to stay here. It's a nice hotel, a few things can be updated but overall wonderful. The gentleman at the front desk was very nice, calm and polite. The room was clean and well put together. There's a big TV with actually good reception on it. I always find spotty cable when I'm in hotels but this one was fine. Bathroom was updated and had plenty of towels. The breakfast was the best part, they had quite a spread and plenty of seating. There was cheese omletes, bacon that was delicious, sausage patties, English muffins, bread you could toast, bagels, hot cinnamon rolls, pancakes, tasty coffee with actual pump creamers not the mini cups you have to open. Orange juice, apple juice and cranberry. There was oatmeal and topping for it. A few types of cereal and milk. It was all really good and the staff was friendly and nice. Overall 10/10 stay and would definitely stay again.

Rooms clean. Pillows hard. No one at front desk...was told by a helpful employee that the front desk clerk "hides." Lobby rest room had not been cleaned for days but breakfast area seemed clean. Mixed review at best. Must be a better value somewhere else.

I booked two rooms, 10 days in advance. I checked 4 different ways to book this room. I am a member of the IHG member rewards program, which is supposed to give discounted rates. IT DOES NOT. The cheapest way I found to book these rooms was through travelocity. At check in, they gave us rooms in separate buildings and on different floors. We were pretty much as far apart as we could be. I have never even had to ask to get adjacent rooms, and have never been separated like this. I asked at check in if we could be closer together. The clerk simply said they were sold out. They were NOT sold out when I booked the rooms. No attempt was made to improve this unacceptable situation, and there was nothing offered to mitigate our displeasure. I mentioned this to the staff at check in and check out. Customer service is indeed dead to some organizations. The rooms were what you would expect at a Holiday Inn, other than the water pressure in the showers was extremely weak. Breakfast was nicer than I expected. Very loud stomping down the hallway at 5am woke us all up. All in all, I was sufficiently annoyed by the staff spreading our rooms so far apart that I am turned off by the experience. I doubt I will be back.

Sound insulation is remarkably bad. We heard someone running back and forth on the floor above all evening. It sounded like a herd of elephants jumping. If you stay here, bring earplugs. Did try to call the front desk but although they said they would take care of it, nothing came of it.

My husband and I stayed here two nights. Our room was nice. The bed was extremely comfortable. There was no street noise. I would recommend this hotel to someone staying in Show Low. I liked that each side of the king-sized bed had a large nightstand with a reading light. I liked that the sink area had a small nightlight built into the electric socket. We had brought our own nightlight, but I am happy the hotel provided one. The room had one upholstered arm chair plus an upholstered swivel desk chair with no arms The seating was comfortable. (I would have preferred two upholstered arm chairs, since I ended up sitting on the bed.) I liked the desk lamp. I did not need to fumble for a switch; all I had to do was touch a pad near the base of the lamp. The lamp had settings for low medium, high, and off. I liked that the refrigerator was big enough to lay several bottles of water flat. We put additional bottles in the door rack. The room also had a microwave and a coffee maker that we did not use. I liked that the air conditioning worked and was not overly loud. I liked how the room had three layers of curtains so that you could adjust the amount of light entering the room. I liked that the room had a small closet with sufficient hangers. There was an iron and ironing board. I wish there had been a towel rack by the sink. I put the face towel next to the sink, but it got wet from sink use. The sink and its counter were conveniently located near the entryway. The bathroom contained only the toilet and the bathtub/shower. We found the bathtub drain difficult to operate. You were supposed to push a circular plate to make the stopper pop up and release. A part fell off. My husband managed to adjust it so the tub would drain. The bathroom had a motion-activated fan. Every time I walked into the room, the fan turned on. I suppose that frequent fan use helps dry out the room and prevent mold, but I found the noise annoying. What was really annoying is that the fan stayed on for several minutes after the occupant left the bathroom. I finally figured out that there was a small button that you could push to turn off the fan. Thereafter I turned off the fan every time I left the bathroom. The room had an alarm clock that we did not want to sound in the middle of the night. My husband could not get the alarm to turn to the off position, so he unplugged the clock. One morning at the hotel, we sat in the breakfast room for quite a while reading the newspaper and drinking coffee. We had other breakfast plans so we did not sample the food. I will note that the hotel had more extensive food offerings than many other mid-priced hotels. I saw cheese omelets under a heat lamp, Chobani yogurt cups, raisins, dried cranberries, chopped nuts, half and half creamer capsules, two nondairy creamers dispensers, plus other more common offerings. A staff person came by frequently to clean the breakfast room and check the coffee urns. I liked that

Stayed here for business a couple of weeks back only because we are FORCED by our travel coordinator to use this sad, sad property!! The rate was below $100/night. Overall the entire property is in a very desperate need of a complete overhaul and remodel! Lobby is dated and dark. The room I stayed in on the 2nd floor was just as dark as the lobby. Everything is done in various dark brown tones….so DARK!! 2 lights in the room, one by sofa and the other clear across the room between the beds. DARK!! The room was HUGE though…like 2 rooms made into one big one. Carpet in room was extremely worn and frayed all over. Bathroom had a jacuzzi tub, which I did not use as the inner workings are not regularly cleaned and flushed. The shower was so tiny I barely had room to turn around in it and i am not a big guy!! The water pressure was almost non existent! There was a little dining table in the room with 4 chairs. These chairs had some odd blue slip covers on them…covering worn out seat cushions below them. The slip covers were in need of a good washing. There was no desk and chair in the room to work from. Only the small dining table which was very far from the electrical plug. Overall, wouldn’t recommend this property at all. Could be very nice if they ever decide to update it, but until then I’d stay away.

We should have know better but sometimes you have to do what you have to do. We were able to check in early but we should have waited for a room on the 2nd floor. We were in room 107. The sink is disgusting, there is a foul smell coming from the sink drain. In fact the entire room had an odd smell. The walls were similar to the towels, both paper thin. There was a kuerig coffee maker in the room but only 1 regular coffee pod, ugh. The tv cuts part of the left side of the screen off, you can see premium channels like HBO and Showtime but you will not be able to access them. You’ll hear conversations from the next room as well as the people above you stomping around. Top that off with kids running and screaming down the hall, cars warming up in the parking lot outside your room and doors constantly slamming shut, we did not have a restful nights sleep. One positive thing (besides leaving) was that the breakfast was surprisingly good.
