Cat and Custard Pot Inn

Lovely little pub and B&B. Booked last minute and was not let down. Food was great and the bar/restaurant staff very helpful. The shower was nice and there were great shower gels and soaps. Bed was a good size with feather pillows. The room was hot but a fan was provided in the room.

Beautiful pub in a beautiful village. I had a free upgrade to a lovely comfortable room. There was a fan and wonderful coffee machine in the room.The staff were very friendly and Sunday lunch and breakfast were amazing. Would definitely stay again. Thank you for making my brief stay so enjoyable!

Rude and uncalled for behaviour of one of the staff members. 0 stars. Spoiled the whole experience. Rude, rude, rude, rude, rude, rude, rude, rude, rude, rude, rude, rude, rude, rude. She didn't even have the courtesy to fight her corner, she just informed us what we ordered (or thought we ordered) and turned and walked away. No guts, just rude. Young(ish) and brought up badly.

Excellent stay, with comfortable bed and pillows. Lovely welcome and the staff were delightful and helpful during our overnight stay. Food was delicious, and the chef is a star. Would definitely return.

The food, bedroom and staff were all amazing during our stay here. Unfortunately as a young couple, we didn’t really get listened to by the manager when we needed the lock on our door fixing. From the inside we couldn’t lock the door, so when we were inside our room, it was open to anyone. The place is very secure so it wasn’t a security issue but more just privacy. We told the manager on the Saturday evening when we arrived that the lock was broken and there was no effort made to fix it at all during our two night stay, despite us reminding him several times. We had to barricade the door at night due to me being so anxious and it did really affect our overall stay. We had the gorgeous room with the bath which i was especially excited for, but didn’t get to share the experience with my partner as he had to sit by and guard the door!! When checking out, we didn’t get any compensation or money off our stay and I have to say we were very disappointed :(. That being said, the place is absolutely gorgeous and our bedroom was stunning. The breakfast and lunch staff were consistently amazing, serving delicious food and the slightly older lady who served us breakfast on Monday and checked us out couldn’t have done anymore for us - she was fantastic!

We booked at short notice after having been let down elsewhere and it turned out to be far better than we could have hoped! Everything was great. Bed super comfy, room nice and toasty, very hot water and lovely bubble bath for a relaxing soak. Dinner was delicious and we had drinks in the bar, close to the wood burner. Breakfast was lovely, with a good range of cooked items. Peaceful setting, with private parking. Very handy for the Westonbirt Arboretum. Staff friendly and professional. We’d happily stay here again.

We stayed at the Cat & Custard Pot Inn as we were attending an event at Westonbirt Arboretum. It was a great location for this being only a 5 minute drive away. We had booked via ********** and unfortunately the request for no feather bedding had not been received. We therefore agreed we would take our own bedding as they only had one room which had non feather bedding which was fortunate as they hadn't put us in this room. The room was otherwise clean and comfortable and we had some noise from the bar below but this didn't impact us. The price included breakfast which was very good and cooked to order with options including a full English, poached eggs on toast and eggs royale. We would be happy to stay here again.

First time staying here and what a find! A lovely, cosy inn tucked away in the village of Shipton Moyne - just perfect for visiting Tetbury, a haven for antique shops, Westonbirt Arboretum and Highgrove. On a grey, damp November weekend the bedroom was so cosy, the bathroom enormous with roll top bath and wetroom and a proper coffee machine not just the usual kettle! Food and service both very good with what seemed to be a fairly new attached pizzeria as an additional option. Would definitely recommend and will definitely return here in the future.

The property is situated in a nice quiet village just outside Tetbury. Excellent pub with rooms. Really great pub grub with huge portions so bring a big appetite. Service efficient and friendly. Will definitely return.
