Hi, Based on our parameters of stay i.e. nearness to Mall road, wheelchair accessibility, open space and enough rooms to accommodate 3 couples, 2 kids and a toddler with maid, we finally zeroed down on Glen View cottage. Also which had a inhouse car parking. Cottage was spacious enough with huge drawing room with antique pool table where we often played and spent good time. The rooms have all the basic amenities and there was also a very beautiful bonfire area where we unwinded our day besides fire having barbeque veg snacks and dinner. On the wheelchair accessibility part after discussing with the owners they got the ramp made at the entrance and toilet in no time which is really appreciable. ***** with that their staff was courteous enough to assist me safely every now and then. But being a heritage property there were still few obstructions, but they can be managed. Overall it was a comfortable and good experience as we stayed here for 4 nights. It's a very well kept villa and the staff is always on duty to serve us with tea, coffee and excellent Indian food with some himachali delights. I would certainly recommend anyone visiting Shimla with family or group to consider Glen View Cottage as a good option to stay. Thanks!
