In early July, we set off from Beijing for a self-driving trip to the Taihang Mountains in Henan. We, an old couple, traveled all the way back from Shanxi to Shijiazhuang and stayed at the Guoshan Hotel. Due to typhoons and heavy rains in Shijiazhuang and Beijing, we were unable to return to Beijing in time and stayed in Guoshan for a few more nights.
