Ryokan Pinon

We stayed here for two nights, Thursday and Friday, after the start of summer vacation. Overall, we felt that it was a great inn considering the price and quality. My husband and I often travel domestically and internationally, and we use a variety of accommodations, from five-star hotels to business hotels, but Pinon's reviews were good, and we could see why. (Location) It is very convenient, as you can get there directly from Shinjuku by express bus. The nearest bus stop is Miharashishita, a 3-minute walk away. There is also a Family Mart with a large parking lot nearby. It is a 10-15-minute walk from Kaidan-gai. (Facilities) There are four baths that can be rented out. You can check the availability on the tablet in the room, so there is no need to go back and forth. There are two types of Wi-Fi: in-room and general. My husband worked in the room, and the connection was smooth even when he opened a heavy application. Wi-Fi is a major priority for my husband and I, so we are grateful for it. There is a laundry facility on the premises, and you can use two washing machines and one dryer for free. (No time limit) Powdered detergent was also provided, which was convenient. Since we stayed for several nights, it was very helpful to be able to do laundry. (Room) My husband and I booked a double room, but it wasn't particularly inconvenient. The bed was a little small, but we were able to sleep soundly due to the heat and fatigue, so we didn't have to worry about the small size. We could enjoy delicious coffee with the coffee maker in the room. They delivered an extra cup on the second day. (Food) I didn't expect it to be country Western food, but it was better than I expected. It was more fusion than French, with some Chinese elements. The first night was better than the second night. For breakfast, we had the Matsumotoro buffet once and the Pinon set menu the second time. The Matsumotoro buffet was very crowded, with many homemade side dishes and was delicious. However, most of the guests were families, so it was hard to relax, so which one you choose depends on your needs. Most of the guests were couples over 50 and single guests, so it was a very relaxing inn. On Thursday it was really quiet and we were able to enjoy a leisurely dinner, but on Friday it started to get busy, the restaurant was full and there was a lively atmosphere.

I stayed here the other day on a solo trip, for a drive and to heal a broken bone. I had seen it in various videos, and it was just as I had seen, a cozy, hidden Western-style building, with delicious food, wine, a private bath, and above all, the hospitality of the staff. The single room was in the basement, so the view was not so good, so next time I'll try to stay on a higher floor. I was very satisfied with it.

I went back for the first time in two years. There are two card keys for the room, which is convenient. I arrived in the evening and went to Matsumotoro's large communal bath. The open-air bath on the eighth floor has a great view of Ikaho Onsen. Both the Golden Bath and the Silver Bath were very pleasant. I also checked that the private Pinon bath was available, and took a bath there. I really like this system. I was also very satisfied with the French dinner, which I was able to enjoy at my leisure while sipping wine. I would like to visit again.

This is a Western-style inn for small groups set up by Matsumotoro, a representative inn in Ikaho. The baths are heated, but there are two baths, one Golden Bath and one Silver Bath, which can be rented for 50 minutes. The rooms are more like a business hotel, but the furnishings are those of an inn, and the snacks are Western sweets. You can use the baths at Matsumotoro if you bring a clothes basket, but the entrance is closed from 9pm to 7am. Baths before check-in and after check-out are charged separately. For breakfast, you can choose between Western or Chinese food at Yumemitei. You can also have the buffet at Matsumotoro if you request in advance. However, perhaps because Matsumotoro is reluctant, there is no tie-up with Onsen Musume.

This was my first visit in five years. The welcome drink, yuzu juice, was delicious. It was convenient to be able to check the availability of the four private hot springs on the tablet in the room. The course dinner was casual and delicious, with chopsticks and yukata allowed. The breakfast omelette was also creamy and delicious. I was also happy with the selectable service that comes as a repeat visitor benefit. It snowed heavily on the day we visited, which was a bit difficult, but the next day they helped me clear the snow around my car. I would like to visit again.

The building and rooms are lovely and comfortable. This time, I stayed in a corner room on the third floor, with a great view and was able to relax. The dinner was French and very delicious. You can enjoy a private bath. You can also use the large bath at Matsumotoro. The souvenirs are a little different, so choosing one is fun. The staff are all very nice. It's rare to find a hotel of this quality at such a low price. This is my third time here. I think I'll be using them again in the future.

Thank you for your help while traveling alone. The appearance and the room were stylish. I was happy to be able to choose a colored yukata. I thought it would be lonely to eat dinner alone at the inn, but the website said that small groups were welcome, and there was one other person besides me, so it wasn't a problem at all. All the dishes were delicious and since I was alone I was able to enjoy them well. The Chinese steamed bread was fluffy and delicious, and I was offered a refill, but I was full so I gave up. There are four baths, and it's great that you can rent them out without having to make a reservation. It was also convenient to be able to see availability on a tablet. Another great feature was that you could access the large public bath at Matsumotoro, which is located at the top of the hill. I took a bath once at Pinon and twice at Matsumotoro, once at night and in the morning. For breakfast, it was nice to be able to choose the buffet at Matsumotoro. There were some unique menu items that I enjoyed, such as the pork shabu that you make yourself, and the kamameshi that you make by putting rice and toppings like shiitake mushrooms in a cute mini pot. The staff was so nice and the menu was so varied that I ended up staying for a long time. I paid for my stay using Shibu Pay, a smartphone payment service available only in Shibukawa City. It seems that 1% of the payment amount will be used for children in Shibukawa City. It's great to be able to enjoy traveling and help the local community. I would like to stay with my husband next time.

It was my first time staying here. The exterior and interior were beautiful, and the food was delicious. The pork for dinner was so tender that I could tear it apart with chopsticks. The steamed bread was also delicious and I ordered a second helping. The breakfast bread was fluffy, the omelet was melty, and the quantity was just right. I was also happy to be able to use the large public bath at the sister hotel Matsumotoro. This bath is reserved for private use, and you can use it if it is vacant. You can take a bath in both the Golden Hot Spring and the Shirogane Hot Spring. I gave one star less because the air coming out of the air conditioner in the room was smelly. It was unexpectedly great.

Stayed here 1 week ago. Please use your wits to respond to menu changes. The interior is cute and the food is delicious. You can check the availability of the 4 types of private hot springs on the tablet in your room, and the 50-minute time limit allows you to enjoy them stress-free. You can also use the hot springs at nearby Matsumotoro. Breakfast is also delicious. There is also a coffee machine in the room. We also have special benefits for repeat customers. Ikaho had a lonely image. Although the check-out was late, the general public continued to come to the restaurant for lunch. Mizusawa udon is also good, but I think I'll try it next time.
