Hotel Todoroki

展望風呂の眺めが最高だと聞いたので初めて行きました。確かに良いのですが、…おそらくですが、女性側からの眺望は良いのかな❓…男性側は眺望が半分でした。料理や設備は平均的な伊藤園品質で納得のハイパフォーマンス。石段街にも程近く観光にも申し分なしです。水沢観音へ行くバス停も目の前でした。

When I used it the year before last, I used a nearby parking lot, but this time I used a parking lot in the ground, so even though it included a shuttle, I had to wait quite a while the next morning.

I was scheduled to stay today (December 28th), but canceled on the 25th.I was told that I could make a reservation for the shuttle bus 2 days in advance, but I was told to call the hotel directly, so I canceled it on the 25th. I called around noon (I was asked various questions about the status of my reservation...) Is it okay if I only have an outbound flight on the 28th? So far, so good, but the man on the phone said that if I did that, I would send the application form to the registered address...sigh...I said that it wouldn't be possible to make it in time, and he said, ``The date is still the same day.'' When I asked them to attach it to an email and send it to me, it seemed to be a hassle.I asked them to tell me their email address verbally.I gave them the address verbally, but they misheard m as n, so when I made the reservation, the address was... When I said that it should have been written down, it was like, ``Ah, there it is.'' When I said that, it seemed like he was waiting for me to get angry and hang up. When things are troublesome, we communicate like this. But his? of hotel? Is that the way to do it? Of course, I didn't receive an email, so I canceled because I didn't care if I was charged a cancellation fee.Two minutes after I canceled, he said that I was later than he was earlier, and that I had sent him the details of the bus, which of course was not attached. No...but I guess they are paying close attention to the cancellation. It's a shame because there were so many good reviews. I wonder what it's like to send it by mail in this day and age. I go to Ikaho almost every month, and I'm planning on going this year for the last time. I was happy, but...I'm disappointed.

Dinner ended at 7:40 pm, so even as I was eating, an old lady from the hotel came out and said, ``It's over, I'm home,'' and I was chased away in a hurry. However, breakfast starts at 7:30, and even though there are many customers waiting at the entrance to the dining room, they do not do anything sensible to let them sit inside, which is completely unpleasant. I was impressed with how thorough this was.

I've stayed here a few times when it was a long-established establishment, once right after it joined the Itoen Group, and this is my first time staying there since four years ago and during the COVID-19 pandemic. I'm sure it's part of the COVID-19 countermeasures, but my biggest impression is that it's a lot of cost-cutting. So, compared to before, it inevitably seems like there are only a few complaints, but I'd like to say in advance that I was very satisfied with the price. The free coffee in the lobby is only available in the morning, there is no live kitchen for dinner, and the number of dishes has been reduced. The self-serve seafood bowl for breakfast has been changed to whitebait and grated yam. But this time the swordfish at the fair was delicious, and the all-you-can-drink glass was ice cold, which doubled the flavor♪ Some items are not replenished in the latter half, but I think it's a measure to prevent food waste... The buffet is short, at 70 minutes in the evening and 90 minutes in the morning. You can do one course + refills of your favorite dishes, but I wish it was a little longer in the evening = if it's crowded and there are two sessions, that's fine, but even if it's not crowded and there's only one session! The tables have been spaced apart as a countermeasure against COVID-19, so some seats are quite far apart, which is even more so. The room is old, but it has been maintained to the point where it doesn't bother me. The washroom had paper cups, but they were covered in plastic that said "disinfected"? ? ? As a measure against COVID-19, the hair dryer had disappeared from the large public bath. The hair dryer in the room was small but powerful, but the floors for women get covered in hair, so I wish they would keep cleaning supplies on hand. If they had at least mentioned it on their website, I would have brought my own. There was a toilet in the women's open-air changing room, but no drinking water. The women's indoor bath had drinking water, but no toilet. I was glad that there was disinfectant in the elevator. It's necessary because you press a button, but there are quite a few places that don't have it. The staff seemed to have a bad reputation, including on other sites, but I didn't feel that this time. There was an older man who was rough with his words, but he was just rough with his age and wasn't a bad person. On the contrary, the front desk and the shuttle van driver were very kind. At dinner, you have to clean up any used dishes that are in the way yourself. There are papers with the types of dishes (glasses, etc.) written on them on the shelves, and they are supposed to be separated by type, but even if they say "masu plate", an amateur wouldn't know what to write? If you get it wrong, a boss-like person will point out that it's wrong! If that's the case, please write it in easy-to-understand words, or the boss will take the whole tray and share it with you! If you bring the receipt, you can enter the Ikaho Grand Golden Baths for a day trip for about half the price. I think this used to be cheaper too... But Todoroki only has the Silver Baths, so I recommend stopping by on your way home to enjoy both.
