Atour Hotel Shenyang Xita Shifu Avenue

My stay this time was absolutely perfect! The hotel's decor is simple yet elegant. The room had great natural light and was meticulously clean. The toiletries were also of high quality. The staff were friendly and responsive. It's also conveniently located for getting around, offering excellent value for money. Definitely my first choice for future trips!

The hotel's location is pretty good; it's very close to Xita Food Street, and taking a taxi to Beiling Park isn't far either. The underfloor heating in the hotel works really well, and it's quiet at night. This is my first time staying at Atour, and it was a good experience!

Facilities: Parking: There's free parking in a small yard right next to the hotel entrance. You'll need to call the front desk to open the gate once you arrive. It's an open-air lot, and you can access the lobby directly through a small door. Room: I was upgraded to a street-facing room when I checked in. It was surprisingly quiet at night, which was nice. The TV allowed screen mirroring, but it kept freezing. The underfloor heating worked very well. Environment: The hotel is located very close to Xita (West Tower), just across the street. It's perfect for anyone wanting to eat and explore Xita, as you can easily walk there. Otherwise, the area gets very congested at night, and parking can be a nightmare. Service: Overall, the service was okay, but there was a little hiccup. I decided to extend my stay for an extra night, so I had two separate bookings. When I checked in, the front desk told me they could upgrade my room and I'd just need to swipe my card again the next day. The next morning, after returning from Xita and re-checking in at the front desk, I was planning to go back to my room for a lie-in. However, at noon, I got a call telling me I had to change rooms because I had two separate bookings and my current room wasn't available as I had originally booked a standard room. Nobody mentioned anything about having to switch rooms during the upgrade process or when I re-checked in downstairs. It was quite frustrating to suddenly be told to pack up and move! The staff did apologize and resolve it later, but it left a really strange impression. Having to repack all my luggage when I'm on vacation definitely put a damper on my mood. Overall impression: At 400 yuan a night for even the most basic king-size room, I'd say other similar hotels offer better value. Given it's not peak season and it's cold winter, I wouldn't highly recommend it at this price. The only real advantage is its proximity to Xita.
