Very nice hotel room

Mosquitoes music and cash only This was one of my worst stays in quite some time. Fortunately only a night. I had arranged payment through ******* only to be told they were having “banking problems” so ended up, despite back and forth with *******, having to pay cash. Loud music from the other side of the bay until 3am meant that I had to put the mattress in the bathroom and sleep on the floor there to get away from the bass. Having travelled 8 hours by bus and flying 6 hours the next day all I wanted was to rest and that did not happen. Nice view from balcony. Take away the mosquitoes and the music and it would have been decent. Seeing as the restaurant did not accept card payment, I don’t believe the banking problems story.. just irritating for guests that have paid with a card and don’t expect or want the aggravation of atms and cash - personally I dislike cash for anything so these guys need to get into 2024 and stop annoying their guests.

A great dive stay A great all round package. Comfortable, quiet room, clean bedding, daily room clean, hot shower, fridge & kettle & a nice size balcony. Clean room and beach towels every day too. Dive centre, accommodation,bar and well priced food are all together. A great dive stay with everything made easy. The noise and bright lights of Naama Bay are a level 20min stroll away or just a couple of ££ in a taxi. The staff here were all Outstanding, friendly and efficient, with nothing to much trouble.

I arrived at Oonas with my 13 year old daughter (6 dives) and 16 year old son (25 dives) last week. We came purely for the diving, and I had researched online to find the right place. We were very happy with our choice. The dive team are great, and having a dedicated boat is a real bonus, different from some operators who share/swap boats from day to day. All the diving guests on the boat were from this hotel, and pretty much all the hotel guests were on the boat each day, which meant that the whole operation was very slick. The kit is left on the boat throughout the week. All the transfers left on time. The dive resort is in the same building as the hotel rooms and restaurant, which means that everyone is on time, all the time. The hotel room itself was as you would expect, but the restaurant was a pleasant surprise, with good (hygienic/safe) offerings for very fair prices. No tummy troubles. My kids completed their advanced open water, and nitrox courses, using Oonas kit, without a hitch. The teaching was good, and friendly. I was worried that my youngest might feel overwhelmed by the experience, having only dived in a calm lake in the UK for her OW cert, but she was never stressed, thanks to the calm support of the dive team, and equally importantly the help of the boat crew. I would recommend Oonas highly for keen divers of all ages. It hits the spot. I would not recommend the touristy "cultural" excursions around Sharm, but this is in no way a reflection on Oonas. Just stick to the excellent diving support from this one-stop-shop, which is what you came for.

I return to this place year after year it is so good and friendly. I always get treated with friendship. The diving is professional and very organised while still making me feel relaxed and encouraging you to enjoy everything that the diving offers in the redsea.
