Shaoxing Laotaimen Lu Xun's Hometown Youth Hostel

This hostel has a great location but poor hygiene… the building is old and bed is not very comfortable and even makes those sounds when you move. The toilet is clean enough but uncomfortable to use. I lost something and asked them to look for it, they told me to go find it myself…

Very disappointed, we booked two single bed room, when we arrived ~3pm, was told only double bed room available at ground floor, the bed is small think is a super single size. The premise is not well maintained, common area though with some art design, but quite messy. The laundry area is at the back yard, dirty, dark and messy place to hang clothes (no dryer). All the above still acceptable. The most annoyed thing was our room, there are abondoned personal items in the drawers, two big items looks like abondoned heater on the floor, like we are sleeping in a store room. I have to say sorry. Definitely not recommended. Breakfast serving time also late, was told 7am, we waited almost 8am. Forgot to take picture.

Please take note that foreigner is not allowed to stay in bunk bed, helpful and responsive host, great location, the negative is sound proof very poor due to the window is kind of hole type, you can clearly hear any sound from outside the room
