Molan Guanting Hotel (Shaoxing Luxun's Hometown City Square Branch)

Both rooms I booked were excellent. They had an old-world charm, and a rich, inviting scent greeted me as I entered. The ambiance was rustic yet peaceful, and the bedding was incredibly comfortable. The service was great too; they offered welcome fruits and even delivered a late-night snack. Overall, it was a fantastic stay.

This guesthouse is right next to Zhou Enlai's former residence, and it's a 10-minute walk to Bazixiang Bridge. The interior decor of the guesthouse looks decent, but the soundproofing is actually very poor, especially if you're staying on the ground floor. When someone showers upstairs, the ceiling downstairs sounds like a drum. If people are talking in the central courtyard, you can hear everything in the ground-floor rooms.

Skipped the Chinese New Year crowds and checked in on Lantern Festival, so it was wonderfully quiet and uncrowded. Even though it's in the city center, it doesn't feel old, cramped, or damp at all. From the exterior to the rooms, every detail is excellent. The biggest surprise was how comfortable the bedding was; it was clean, soft, and I had a great night's sleep. Woke up feeling great in my back, waist, and neck – I'm seriously considering getting one of those pillows! As I was leaving, I checked the bed for anything I might have forgotten and found the duvet was still warm. It's also incredibly lightweight yet super insulating. The owner really put thought into their product selection. Even on a gloomy morning, I saw the cleaning staff meticulously tidying up the rooms, working up a sweat. I'd definitely recommend this place to friends and would happily stay here again if I get the chance. It's also super convenient for walking or cycling to nearby attractions, and there's a bakery and a popular cafe right outside the door, so you can easily enjoy them.

The hotel is very close to Shaoxing Railway Station, making it convenient to visit all the city's attractions. As soon as I arrived, a staff member helped me with my luggage and took it to my room. The service was warm and attentive, with desserts, congee, and small snacks offered in the evening, plus complimentary fruit. The courtyard-style layout perfectly complements the city of Shaoxing, providing a great experience.

The environment is elegant, pleasant, and very inviting. The room was also very clean. They helped with my luggage, which was a thoughtful touch, and they were quick to resolve any issues. Highly recommended!

The room was really nice, spacious and clean. The location is also excellent, within walking distance to all nearby attractions. Breakfast was good too. Highly recommend!

The quadrangle courtyard is quiet and beautiful, and the latex pillows and mattress really improve sleep quality. The service is very attentive. The only thing is that the echoes of people talking in the courtyard at night are quite loud. The breakfast variety could also be a bit more extensive.
