Ms. Zhou at the front desk of Building 7 of Hongqiao Guest House is considerate, enthusiastic and meticulous in service, making people feel a kind of family affection. She is the best waiter we have met many times in five-star hotels. She is worthy of the noble quality of the staff of the State Guest House and deserves praise. The food of Palm Island Crayfish Seafood Buffet is excellent, the roasted lamb chops are delicious, especially the big mantis shrimp with black bean sauce is delicious and fragrant. It is the East Lake Food Festival. The 588 yuan three-person set meal is affordable and worth the money. The young female supervisor from Shanghai at Hongyingxuan Chinese Restaurant (sorry for not taking the work number.) The service is also first-class, warm and thoughtful, and she also specially sent four freshly baked Su-style mooncakes to wish us a happy Mid-Autumn Festival. The Yayuan breakfast restaurant in Building 7 has an elegant and quiet environment. Every snack is carefully delivered by the waiter for us to enjoy, and the experience is very good.

It’s really a good experience to stay in this hotel. Breakfast was good with lots of variety,those are really helpful for international travelers. Staff of this hotel are really friendly & helpful. Only I faced one problem with the AC of the room,which was not that much cool.Except this everything was fantastic.

So second time at this hotel. When checked in the room strongly smell of cigarettes smoke. So they change for me quickly. Good service. Second room have very bad smell coming drain in bathroom floor. Smell like sewer. Hotel know that this problem because they put air freshener on to of drain. So the. Room has sewer smell mixed with fresher smell. Really unpleasant to honest.

Convenient in-town location. Set back from the main road so reduced traffic noise. Unlike many hotels which seem to throttle in-room heating, I had to turn down the thermostat to remain comfortable. Plenty of hot water in the shower, good wifi connection/speed, sufficient amenities (including bathrobe). Did not try breakfast but would consider staying here again.

The room is clean and bright. King bed room👍 The bathroom lighting is a bit dim and can be improved. There is no independent Type C port in the socket. The room space is very comfortable and the room price is cheap.

Location is very convenient and not far from the centre. The cleaner comes everyday to clean and provides two bottles of water everyday.

The room is clean. The flat screen TV is huge. There is no mini fridge and safe in the room, however. The bed is on the hard side but suits me well. The breakfast is tasty but basically stay the same day over day. The breakfast runs from 7 to 9:30 in the morning. It got crowded during peak time. Staffs are efficient. A bit more smile on their face would be nice and go a long way. The worst part is the cigarette smoking odors from time to time. The entire building is smoking free but a few guests did not behave well on this regard. They did smoke behind the closed door.

The staffs are really friendly and helpful and the location is near to the train station... Room was good and as shown in the pictures.

Always convenient, reasonable priced, and welcomed. Would keep booking this hotel whenever I go to Korean town in Shanghai
