Hotels Near Sheshan National Forest Park in Shanghai

We quite frequently stay at this hotel. The location is beautiful, Shishan park and botanical garden in walking (or cycling) distance. Delicious breakfast buffet. One wish is left open, namely that the construction in the park finds an end, so one can enjoy an undisturbed walk around the garden, without being stopped by green fences, blocking the way because of construction area (that never seemed to change much over the last two years anyway....)

The customer service was excellent and there is a very nice breakfast buffet. The location is a little far from most things, but it is easy and inexpensive to get a taxi. There is a McDonald's, Sam's Club deli, and a Starbucks right next door. The room was very spacious, clean, and well stocked. The front desk staff was extremely helpful with everything from getting a taxi to ordering food. It's very good value for the money.

I live in Shanghai Metropolis, so a long weekend break in Songjiang was much-needed, and your hotel was my first pick as I am an IHG Member!!!!! Just take a look at my photos, and you'll see my happy face!! The experience at the hotel and the surrounding area was fabulous!!!! Wonderful, helpful, pleasant, smiling staff - from GM Richard Hng, to Director of Rooms, Mike, to Alisa who told me about my gift at check-out, to Seven at check-in, to Alex the bus-boy who carried my luggage and was so helpful , to the doorman who hailed me taxis and held the door open . . . .to the dining staff...to the housekeeping staff.....THANK YOU for my wonderful memories!!! Songjiang is beautiful and cultural..I enjoyed Guangfulin Park, a ride on the Green Line in a tram, Thames Town, and, of course, meeting friendly people, so wonderful as I travel everywhere alone!! I hope to return to your area in March for the sakura in the park!!

We loved our 4-night stay (with a 6-hour extension) in this hotel. On top of a really good service, we got free breakfast, too. The breakfast is Asian style. Being Filipinos, we enjoyed it. We had the Chinese version of ”buchi,” ”lumpia,” ”chao fan,” ”siopao,” and more. We also had orange juice, soy milk, milk, coffee, and water for drinks. If you are looking for a Western style breakfast, there is KFC and Starbucks right at the Metro Station area (or subway), where you can also ride Line 9. We ate burgers bought at KFC, my mother found the burger with tomatoes delicious. They have free bottled water, provided with a kettle and tea. There is also a robot that serves as the hotel delivery boy. :-) I wish we could have a robot like that at home. :-D The people at the hotel are really great. We wish to say hello to Ms. Zhao Ming Di, who assisted us and was very helpful and resourceful. :-) They've got hot shower, with shampoo and soap provided. Towels are included, too. You can watch Hollywood movies on their TV, too. We played ”The Mummy,” ”Gladiator,” etc. We also watched a Chinese movie ”Shaolin Popey” with English subtitles. :-) If you wish to extend your stay at this hotel, you can pay 25RMB/hour for your room. If you are a nature lover, this hotel is near Sheshan Hill (Line 9 Sheshan Metro Station). In fact, the Sheshan area itself has its own tourist spots (not just the Catholic church and the space observatory. There are many others.). They are not as famous as The Bund area, of course, but you will like the Sheshan area if you have the chance and the effort to explore it. I sincerely wish we were able to explore the Sheshan area more, but we only spent a few hours and we spent all of it on the top of the Sheshan hill. If you want to buy sweets and goods to take home, this hotel is near Qibao Ancient Town (Line 9 Qibao Metro Station). There are many shops there and their prices are much lower than those in The Bund. My mother bought many things at Qibao, like candies, toys, a comb, etc. I bought a pocketwatch. They also sell Chinese traditional clothes there. There is also a high-end shopping mall right next to the Qibao Metro Station, the name is Vanke Mall, in case you wish to buy Western-brand goods and have Western-style meals. The hotel itself is also near a park, but we didn't get a chance to walk in that park. I checked it on a map, it looked huge. Maybe, next time we will. :-)

When booking this one, I didn't expect the hotel to be this good as the price is so reasonable. But it turned out very clean, spacious and nice! The location is pretty far from the center but it's near Hongqiao station which is convenient for anyone who has plan to go to other places in China by high-speed train. The staffs don't speak English, but they are very nice and willing to support me during my stay.

At first we thought that the hotel is in a bad place but turns out there’s a cool place next to it where you can relax, grab coffee, ice cream, or even dinner date. The hotel is clean, we even changed the staying dates without any problems, the staff is very helpful, and delivery robots are the best. I would recommend, specially for couples

酒店位置優越，距離朱家角古鎮景區五百米不到，步行可達，前台接待熱情，辦理入住方便快捷，房間寬敞整潔衞生，設備都比較新，床軟硬適中，睡得比較舒適的，遙控窗簾智能馬桶，洗漱區乾濕分離，酒店自帶一個庭院，週末到青浦休閑度假的可以喝喝下午茶，同地段酒店裡屬於性價比高的，不錯。

On the weekend, my family and I went to Zhujiajiao Ancient Town to play. I didn’t go back and wanted to see the night view of the ancient town. I saw this homestay on the Internet. I booked this homestay with the heart of trying it out. When I arrived at the store, my first impression was clean and hygienic. The high-end facilities have the feeling of home and the sanitary environment of a five-star hotel. The housekeeper showed me the backyard and attracted me at the time. The backyard stood in the courtyard along the river and could fish. There was a rocking chair in the garden. Sitting on it and watching the lake view, listening to the cicadas and birds closing their eyes and feeling back to childhood In my heart, I forgot all my worries and pressure. I really found a good place to stay quiet. At night, the housekeeper introduced me to the ancient town to go. It was very convenient. I walked for 8 minutes to the old street of the ancient town. The room facilities are high-end. Dyson hair dryer, smart toilet, There are also two free drinks and mineral water. The housekeeper made a lot of varieties for us the next morning. There are buns, dumplings, roast wheat, hair cakes, oil cakes, eggs, two kinds of porridge, various side dishes... I had a great time this time. I will recommend it to my family and friends next time, so I will come again.

The hotel is lovely with vintage glamour style and some touches of Old Shanghai. The lobby and rooms are stylish with lots of furniture. The location is very convenient for going to the airport or railway station. I was here just one night at the end of a long trip so I could be close to the railway station. If you order delivery, there is a cute robot that delivers it to your door as long as it can fit inside the robot’s cabinet. Very convenient! There is a big pool I didn’t get a chance to use but it really looked great, I regret not taking a dip in the morning. The breakfast left a lot to be desired for western options. Just toast and hard boiled eggs, some sausage links typical of Chinese style western breakfast. A couple cereal options and some pastries and cake. However there was a noodle station and some dumplings, etc that were pretty good. If you’re accustomed to Chinese breakfast it wasn’t bad, a step up from 7/11. Also, for me, the bed was way too hard, and it squeaked when adjusting position at night. I woke up with a sore back. My main disappointment was the lack of bellhop and concierge. I was ending a long trip and had a lot of luggage I had to carry up a few steps, since the driveway where taxis stop is not directly in front of the lobby door.
