The location is fantastic and conveniently just a minute away from Laoximen station. It is easy to travel to Nanjing East Road, Yuyuan and Hongqiao Airport. Staff are all extremely helpful and friendly before, after and throughout the stay. The warmth extended really made the stay really sweet. We have moved from Nanjing Street and stayed at this beautiful Blossom House Shanghai on the Bund for 2 nights. We booked a corner room with curved glass overlooking the river on the 12th floor. The room was clean and the view was great, we could see the Pearl Tower. Unfortunately, it rained all day when we stayed, so it was a different experience. It takes about 2-3 minutes to walk to the river and you can walk to Yi Yuan Park from the hotel. The service was very good. The staff greeted us with warmly welcome smiles

Wonderful location, nice building.
But air conditioning doesn’t work in the room we were provided, and the staff lied and used several excuses to avoid changing us to a different room. They claimed that the temperature was the same in all rooms and it is central air conditioning and the AC was not broken. After explaining that the hallway outside the room was a significantly cooler temperature, they finally agreed to change the room, but this was after 3 phone calls to the front desk.

We stayed at Atour twice between 10th to 17th of October booking the Executive Room. The reception gave us a free upgrade the second time with a bigger room with balcony. Appreciate the gesture.
The best thing about this hotel is its location. It is walking distance from The Bund and Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street. Very near to Yu Garden too. Which are the must-visit places for tourists. We were able to walk to these places in a short time.
The rooms were clean and the toiletries provided were of high quality. My wife especially loved the jasmine-taste toothpaste. Breakfast was excellent and at a very reasonable price. I really enjoyed the different dishes Chinese or Western. My favourite was the steamed dumplings. Free Night porridge made available between 9.30pm to 11pm was really something special. Although simple but it is a really thoughtful gesture to travellers who may need extra nutrition or filling up of the stomach before retiring for the night.
The hotel lobby and lounge felt homely. There is a small library with interesting titles for guests with more time to spare. I found some interesting read.
The staff were polite and very friendly. I made a call from Malaysia a few days before my stay and a nice chap Mr Han Chao took the trouble to confirm that my booking was OK calling me back after searching for some time.
On the whole it was a very pleasant stay, and I will certainly choose Atour at Fuzhou Road again on our next trip to Shanghai.

Very clean and modern room (4th floor). Had a nice view. Location is great too, very close to Nanjing shopping street. Easy access to metro stations Nanjing Lu East and People’s square. A lots of restaurants in the area if you want to eat Chinese food (noodles, rice etc.). The staff is friendly and helpful. Specially the girl at the reception when my flight was cancelled. She helped me to call the airline to ask for an English speaking person, to get info on the cancellation. And also grateful that I could extend my room for 1 more night (but the rate was higher). It would be nice if the staff speak more English for foreigner tourists (non Chinese speaking tourists). Luckily Xiao Chao speaks some English and he is kind. Free water all the time. There is a free laundry room (self service) 24hrs. Received a bottle of water and a small gift when I checked out.
Would definitely recommend the hotel.

We liked the hotel very much. First of all, it was very clean and well-equipped, with a comfortable bed and pillows, and good quality linens. Breakfast was also satisfying, with lots of options, both Chinese and Western. The location is amazing, right on Nanjing Road pedestrian street, and it takes less than 20 minutes to stroll to the Bund. Even though our windows faced Nanjing Road, it was very quiet at night and in the morning, so we slept with the windows open. The only downside of our particular room was not the size, but the height of the ceiling. However, we noticed that only a few rooms at the end of the corridor have this issue; the rest of the hotel seemed fine. So if you’re particularly tall, you may want to request a room with a normal-height ceiling.

Fantastic hotel with modern vibes. Location is a 5 minutes away from a train station and has multiple eateries nearby. The adjoining Macdonalds offers a quick fix, right at the doorstep.
Hotel furnishing and cleanliness and are great. As with many hotels in China, this one also has a robo delivery service that sends delivered food straight to your room. Delivery time after arrival at hotel should vary as there is only 1 robot on site.
The mall beside the hotel is also worth a visit. Location is a 15-20 min walk to the Shanghai Bund.

Hotel provide shuttle bus service on certain timings to nearby attractions and train station.
There’s a mall opposite the hotel which has good food choices and also a small supermarket.
Room is big and spacious too. Aircon works well and regulates the temperature in the room.

During our stay, we encountered a challenge with parcel delivery and were unsure about the process for returning a package. The hotel team went above and beyond to assist us. They not only helped us make a call to the appropriate office but also personally guided us to the delivery center, which was conveniently located just 300 meters from the hotel.

Base from my true experiences, I booked here the night before traveling to Shanghai. Once I check out from hotel in Guangzhou, front desk lady help me called reception at Shanghai Novotel Hotel Chuansha to ask if they can pick me and my partner at Pudong Airport as they advertised for a complimentary shuttle bus.
The lady at Novotel cannot speak English so I passed to the front desk lady in Guangzhou and got to know that I have to book a shuttle bus a day ahead. I accepted this because I read info, just have hope if they could help customer with this, anyway I flew to Shanghai and went hotel by myself.
On the way to Shanghai, I still have hope that receptionist at NOVOTEL will be able to speak English. When I arrived there, I met 3 receptionists and NONE OF THEM CAN SPEAK ENGLISH. We had a tough time to communicate. I have my own language and English, also broken Chinese but we still not understand each other. I had to call a friend of mine in Taiwan to speak Chinese to them.
Again, I wanted to book a shuttle bus to Disney land for the next day and they ask me to have a Wechat app to see a detail and communicate. Since I do not have China mainland mobile number so I cannot make a Wechat work on my phone. My ********* friend still help me out with this.
At that time, another lady came, seem like she work for shuttle bus thing. I do understand that Chinese tone of voice always loud but I cannot see mercy on her face. She consisted that we still need a Wechat. One lady there said, I have to take a taxi without Wechat even though the hotel provided us a free shuttle bus to Disneyland. At this point I a little upset as there is no choice that they can call or set me a time for my travel, _ucking asked me to take a taxi. I do not mind to pay for taxi but we have never been here so we worry about other unexpected factor could happen.
Further more, I went there on my girlfriend birthday to celebrate her birthday. I decided to take it here a last minute and I asked if they could have a card written Happy Birthday to her. Only I know is ”NO CARD, NO CARD!!!! bad service mind ever, disappointed and felt give up with Novotel
Yes, I picked NOVOTEL because I really hope they provided international services. I was a member of ACCOR PLUS and experienced such good services but since I experienced here, I am a failure.
I actually have 2 more nights in Shanghai after 2nights here. I was thinking to move out all the time because me and my partner felt suffocate with a service. I do not talk to them anymore as it is useless T___T
I even tried with my broken Chinese but I cannot feel that they put an effort to serve their guesses. No bellboy, air-conditioning at public area is pretty warm.
To be honest, the place is good, bed is comfy and we tired from playing things in Disney land park so I extended to book for one more night then I do not need to rush for checking out. I went reception floor, this time a girl with glasses, seem kind and she is fluent in English help me check in for my last night here :)
Whole time staying here I kept my mouse shut because don't want to feel unpleasant anymore and I feel like the robot that delivery food downstairs is working better than human lol.
Eventually, I did tried until I can log into Wechat to found that the text were written in Chinese only. I still can travel with a hotel shuttle bus even I do not read thing on Wechat (我看不懂) 😔 I definitely won't be back here even things are good.
Hotel is providing everything we needed which is good but they should hire people who able to speak English or people who able to use translate on google and else to communicate as they open for the whole world guess. Not only Chinese on earth but also another language exists. Last thing, key of hospitality is ”SERVICE MIND”

The only things I found could've been improved or could be better with my stay we're that there was only one chair on my balcony, only one bathrobe and pair of slippers we're prepared s well. There was also a desert prepared in the room, but it was sour.

GGuest User+ It´s comfortable because it´s on Line 2, where you can go to the Bund, and to both airports.
On the airport are also many restaurants and a convenient store.
The rooms are big and comfortable.
The breakfast is big and very tasty.
The TV has CNN and HBO, so it´s possible to watch TV in English too.
- My room was a non-smoking room but it smelled a lot like cigarettes unfortunately, which was quiet annoying.
Some design things (like window frame, shower,...) are dirty or rusty, but that´s normal in China as far as I know.
The Wi-Fi is okay, just a little bit slow.
The heater is central, so it feels a little bit cool in the room, you can turn on the ”heater” but it just blows out cold air, even on heating mode.

Great fitness, spa, and swimming pool area that all opens at 8a (late for a fitness area since we like early morning workouts). The from desk staff very organized and accommodating. LLandazhuangshiyizhizhuThe scenery is very good, and it has finally reopened after a long period of renovation. It is still in trial operation, and the hotel smells a bit too big. I feel that I cannot stay for more than two nights. The breakfast is good as always, the same as before the renovation, but the service is not up to the level of Hyatt: the front desk wrongly downgraded the room (to the Bund view room) and informed The breakfast time was wrong (it was 11 o'clock on the weekend, but the front desk still told me 10 o'clock even though I emphasized that it was the weekend), and I forgot to give the toothbrush and toothpaste I asked for; after checking into the room, I was already in the room, and the staff was silent I was shocked when I came in to change the decorative flowers, and I didn't even close the door when I left quietly. I hope the standard can be restored after the trial opening.

WWajahat Alithe room is quite spacious and it is quite cost ffective in the vicinity of the welcome tea in the hotel lobby is delicious and warming the tv in the room also has a wireless password zz which is very convenient the snacks on the table are also great with nuts to supplement nutrition after the check in experience I feel that the hotel really considers the needs of guests such as the arrangement of necessary items and amenities is very strong and the front staff warmly welcome s each guest not only introducing the hotel special facilities such as the executives lounge but also providing tips for nearby attractions allowing guests to quickly integrate when they first arrive moreover it is very close to the waibaidu bridge and it takes about 10minutes to walk there the tea poured by ciao Zheng is also very delious warm and has a rose flavor which is great
