The hotel has a nice entrance the concierge are really respectful and are willing to answer any questions in Chinese and in English. The reception area is beautiful you can see the Shanghai skyscrapers and the bund view from there. I was a little disappointed by the offer at reception. It was my birthday weekend and they couldn’t get even offer me complimentary breakfast this was shocking for such a high quality hotel. Furthermore, the check in process was below average: 1. There was no welcome drinks not even a bottle of water. 2. I had to later ask for a toothpaste they should have offered me. 3. They did not know even take me to my room I had to drag my suitcases by myself. When you pay over 2300 RMB you are paying for the hotel to pay attention to detail and thus expect more. The room was really comfortable however, the shower had some mould and was also difficult to realise how to use it. Breakfast was okay they have a wide selection of food. However the service was shocking I sat there waiting for 20 mins after I had order my tea before someone came over to help me order eggs. The manager later apologised but for a place with high standards and on my birthday this disappointing.

One of the most excellent hotels in China, pricey but you get exactly what you pay for. The staff is great and helpful. They communicate very well in English. After they found out it was my partner's birthday, the chef made her a small gluten-free cake to cater for her. Also the view is fantastic

The best feature of this hotel is accessibility to Metro line 2 and L Mall at basement 1 of World Plaza. The window view is not relevant due to low floor levels of Ji Hotel (3rd to 5th floor). This building has Family mart and Starbucks at 1st floor and also has McDonalds and other Chinese restaurants/stores and membership gym at basement 1.

Hotel was right next to a train station and there were lots of rental bikes available. Location is just a few junctions down from the city park, and just two or three stations away from shopping/historic districts. The hotel was really into promoting sustainability and culture, with their in-house tea and coffee varieties + recycling separation. Cleaning was always prompt. Room was v spacious, and even came with a desk for working. There were also game, golf and library facilities but didn't have time to check out those. Staff were v helpful esp upon check-in when I was trying to connect to their WiFi. I didn't have a Chinese mobile number so the staff helped to settle it with their in-house phone. Staff also assured that they were available 24/7 even though it was getting late.

Another great stay at Kempinski! We often come here to simply enjoy quiet and relaxing time to get away from busy city life! It sounds crazy to say to come to the centre of the city but if it book Club room with executive lounge it’s possible! You can enjoy quiet breakfast, lovely lunch and cute afternoon tea and great happy hours with less people around with stunning view from 28th floor! Stuffs here are always great wiling to help you and attentive which we can’t see often…we can see people are working with smiles that is from their heart so hospitality is wonderful. Always great to stay at indoor swimming pool and Spa which is quite relaxing with amazing view from 30th floor! From the moment you arrive at check-In counter and during your stay and at the check-out you feel like detox stay at the beautiful Kempinski! 🍽️: variety food of breakfast and they will prepare extra things if you ask them 🛌🛋️: lovely decorations with new sofa, very comfortable bed and sofa makes your stay very relaxing! 🍰🍇🫐: Kind fruits and sweets service, it’s very sweet arrangement! We will definitely come back again soon for another relaxing staycation!

My stay at the Mandarin Oriental Pudong Hotel was exceptional, from the service to the dining and facilities. Breakfast was abundant and well-prepared, with a wide selection of options, including fresh juices and warm, freshly baked bread that made for a perfect start to the day. Accommodation services were flawless. I want to extend special thanks to Ms. Alaia for her attentive care, which made my stay even better. The staff were friendly and detail-oriented, ensuring I felt at home. The room was spotless, the bed comfortable, and the thoughtful pillow service ensured a good night's sleep. The hotel’s facilities were top-notch, including a well-equipped gym and a pristine swimming pool. The business amenities were also excellent, making it convenient for work. Overall, my experience at the Mandarin Oriental was superb, and I highly recommend it for both leisure and business stays.

The room is very clean and the bed is very comfortable. My friend and I are very happy living here. The customer service attitude is also very good. I recommend staying here.

Lovely room design! I love when the space is used as well as possible, and the location is amazing! Next to subways and surrounded by malls, markets, bars and restaurants. The views are okay from the room, and the receptionists are nice and easy to talk to, either via Google translate, and directly in English. There were some small inconveniences, like there is a hood for the stove in the kitchen, but there is no stove... And the fridge might be a bit too big for the room, but I would gladly rent a mini ”apartment” like this if it were in my city. I also asked for a wake up call, but the receptionist missed the time, but she apologised for it (I believe) which was nice. I would gladly return!

Another fantastic hotel by Ji . The standardization of their theme is expected across the brand. Environment: This location is conveniently located near Shang Cheng Lu 商城路, which is surrounded by office buildings & shopping options. Making it a great place for food. The only downside is that the traffic gets a little finicky in the peak hours. Lobby: Oddly the lobby is located on Level 5. So sometimes delivery gets a little mixed up. While there is a signage, could improve this on Level 1. Reception/Housekeeping: Awesome. They are polite and attentive. Any requests sent is promptly resolved. This location also helps to receive and sort out any parcels; which is very great for foreigners who prepurchase their taobao. Room: Its quite averagely sized. Not the largest, but could be a tad too narrow in walkway if there are huge luggages in the room. However each room come with a daily restocked bottled mineral water by Nongfu Spring, tea leaves & some candy. While the room has a window, it's not facing the road but a false skylight. Shower/Bathroom: Toilet facility is American style & comes with electronic bidet. There's a wet-dry seperation. One improvement is that the showerhead is placed too high. Impacting height-limited individuals from reaching it. Also could add a small rack to put toiletries. The shower does come with complimentary shower gel & shampoo which are very fragrant. Washbasin: Located right at the entrance of the room. Very huge mirror with ring-light. Fully stocked amenities like shower cap, cotton buds, tooth brush & slippers. Furthermore the room comes with an umbrella for rainy days.

Very conveniently located. Near Dong Chang metro, facing Yaohan and Times Square. But convenience comes with noise, since it's located along the busy streets. Front desk staffs were rather disorganized. Made mistakes but they compensated our inconveniences with complimentary breakfasts. They provide free laundry service (self-service) at lobby. There's a tiny gym next to the laundry area. Overall was a good stay.
