Hotels in Huaihai Road Area/Xintiandi Area, Shanghai

Breakfast was great and the lady there tried a lot to help us with everything. All the staff was helpful. The place located in a very cantral spot, near meteo Station,very convenient! The room was fine, it had everything we needed. The only thing i whould suggest is to add shampoo bottle seperately, because the one they had was the same with the shower gel! It made my hair really bad!

Our stay was pleasant and most of the staff were very helpful & friendly. They will greet us whenever we walked pass. Too bad we did not have the chance to enjoy the facilities and dine in the hotel. One feedback I had was during our check-in day on 28 Feb 2024. We were not sure if we had arrived at the right hotel as we do not know the hotel's Chinese name. It was raining and I wanted to alight & make a quick check with an older porter at the hotel entrance/drop-off point. When I asked the older porter ”这里是不是 Okura Garden Hotel?” He just brushed me aside and said ”不知道!”. In the end I had to dashed into the hotel lobby and reconfirmed with the reception on duty. Understand that English may not be a common language for the hotel staff especially the older ones. But won't it make a great difference if the staff at least knows the English name of the hotel that they are working for?

I’ve come to this hotel quite a few times over the past few years and overall, it does the job. Front desk staff are pleasant enough, rooms are clean, and it’s a great location near a subway station. It should be known, however, that apparently some of the rooms are Dragonball Z themed. After three years and maybe ten stays at this hotel, I had not come across this fact until I booked the day before my stay and Trip warned me it was the “last room” as I was booking. Boy, howdy were my partner and I surprised when we opened the door and found the whole room (luckily excluding the bathroom) plastered in giant pictures of DBZ characters. As I am a right side of the bed kind of lady, I had the honor of this giant picture of Freiza to wake up to. It’s not exactly a deal breaker, but it would have been nice to know that in advance. Again, one time out of ten isn’t bad, I just think a little warning from the front desk or Trip when booking would have been nice. If I were a ten year old boy, this would have 100% made my life.

Great location, within walking distance to bus and metro station. Room was clean, spacious, and fully equipped with a washing machine/dryer, stove, kettle, cutleries, and utensils. Breakfast spread was simple and nice. Highly recommended.

Quite good hotel but once more than 10 guest arrive the workflow is too slow for check in. Also the service mind is less than I expected. I had meeting and asked to bring my luggage to my room. No. They prefer keep it in luggage storage room.. Anyway price / Service / sour rounding all together it was worth to stay here.

The hotel is tugged in a quiet and beautiful street in SH, somewhere we have truly felt relaxed and recharged. One of the staff contacted us before we arrived to get the ETA. When we actually arrived, she saw us with a big suitcase and showed us another room that might suite us better. All the rooms were decorated differently, so they could really suit different needs from customers. We are impressed by the quality of the mattress, pillows, everything in the room really, and the breakfast!! The food is so delicately made and displayed. They asked my son if he would like some noodles as he was overwhelmed by the food and didn't know what to take at first. The noodles arrived so well-made and flavoursome, my son just loved it! We just felt like we were really well looked after. We would definitely return to the same hotel if we stay in SH again.

good deal for the price. great location to explore French area of Shanghai. 7/11 across the street. we were upgraded for free. the room was very simple but had everything necessary, including bathtub, free instant coffee and water. not a romantic spot, but perfect for travelers, that don't plan to spend much time at the hotel and value the location. wifi is quite poor , the room is very clean, the bed is quite hard. we didn't have breakfast at the hotel, so no comment. staff at the lobby speaks English well enough. easy access by taxi to any area of Shanghai. we enter scooters from another place and could leave them near the hotel without issues, but didn't find a spot to charge them. overall very satisfied.

Nothing so special about it, except the location is outstanding. The receptionist did her best to deal with me, as I don’t speak Chinese, and she didn’t speak English fluently. However, the deal breaker for me was the smell of cigarettes that invaded my room from the central AC. As a non smoker, that was a horrible experience.

Its recommended to stay here..its near from MRT, tourism place like yuyuan garden n the bund and many more place..if u take line 14,just take exit 5.its only 2minutes to take you to the hotel by walking.u can also rent the bike near the hotel..the family room is not big.but me n my family like to stay here.the hotel staff also very nice n very helpful..i will stay here again if come back to shanghai for sure ❤️

I had the pleasure of staying at The Langham, Shanghai 新天地 on March 26th, anticipating a comfortable and enjoyable experience. However, upon arriving at my assigned room, I was dismayed to discover that it had not been cleaned. This left me feeling disappointed and inconvenienced. The housekeeping staff on the floor immediately apologized for the oversight and assured me that they would notify the front desk. However, I was still dissatisfied with the situation and decided to proceed to the lobby to speak with a manager. Upon reaching the lobby, I was greeted by the warm and attentive Manager. After understanding the situation, The Lobby Manager did not attempt to deflect blame but instead offered his sincere apologies and promptly arranged for me to be transferred to a new room. To my further delight, The Manager personally escorted me to the new room and patiently introduced me to the hotel's facilities and services. In the newly assigned room, I was met with a sense of order and cleanliness. The room was tastefully decorated, well-equipped, and exuded a cozy ambiance. I was thoroughly impressed with the hotel's cleanliness standards and the attention to detail. While the initial hiccup with the uncleaned room was disappointing, the hotel's swift and courteous response transformed my overall experience into a positive one. The Manager genuine concern and proactive service made me feel truly valued as a guest, leaving a lasting positive impression of The Langham brand.
