Hotels Near E&JOY in Shanghai

Although it's just a short stay for one night The distance between the bed and the TV is not reasonable However, apart from the TV, the functions are quite complete. There are quite a few hangers, which is quite good.

It was an old-looking hotel room with a huge wood chip on the floor. The water pressure for showering was quite weak as well. But the employees were nice and if you are looking for a basic stay with comfy beds, good spot.

I must admit that I was a little bit nervous booking this hotel. Some previous guests had complained about high temperatures in the room and beds that didn't offer enough support. Those were the two things I looked out for when I got there, and I have to say that my experience turned out to be entirely positive. Well, almost. The only thing I can think of is that the shower area is within a bathtub, so if you're travelling with older people, you may need to ask ahead of time whether they have bathrooms with different layouts. Kudos to two members of the staff who showed extra care. Annie moved us to a room with an extra single bed, so that everyone could sleep on a bed in our room. Betty took care of us for one breakfast, letting the staff know that we and our children had paid. For those considering the metro service, Line 6 Pudian Road is the nearest station - you can walk there in 5min or so.

We appreciate the hotel for allowing us to change and shorten our stay. They are very kind. For the price, the place will appeal to travellers prioritising location. We feel that the place may not be suitable for the needs of family travellers with young children. The room has many wardrobes space but lacked the walking space and the toilet and bathroom space is very tight. The room windows can see the back of another building with many rubbish dumps.

Great place.. Quite disappointed though that the gym and swimming facilities had a separate fee... i was asled to pay 100 yuan each time i had to go there... Wasnt expecting that.

the room is not very clean as seen in the pics, but the location is ideal. would suggest anyone to weigh your priorities before booking.

Another stay here. A simple, no frills hotel for a good price. I love the location with two plazas within walking distance and the metro station about a 6 minute walk. Very convenient for getting to anywhere in the city on Line 9. This is the first time I checked the television and was a bit sad that there was only one English channel. Though this was not a big deal for me as I was only in the room to sleep. I like to book a room on the south side of the hotel as there is an open view looking over a school field. However, if you stay on a weekday, I am told the school has announcements early in the morning, so a room on the north side might be better for Sunday night to Thursday night. Check in was fast again and I was in my room within about 5 minutes. While I was very comfortable in my room, I did notice that the walls were getting a bit worn. There was also something on the walls that looked like dust, but I hope it wasn't mold. It seems they might need to think about doing some simple renovations. The height adjustment for the shower was also broken so it wanted to fall. I should have mentioned this to the front desk but I forgot. Overall, another nice stay but they may need to plan some simple renovations like painting the walls and checking the fixtures in the rooms.

Really nice hotel. Great location and near a lot of attractions. I found value in staying here due to the convenience of near by attractions but I chose to eat outside of the hotel because the prices are high. The bar drinks were not good and made with very little alcohol and far too much ice. High price as well. There happened to be some famous actor staying at the hotel and security blocked access to a couple floors so I couldn't access the elevator to get to my room after check in so that was really annoying. Eventually I was able to get to the room and it was nice. Comfortable bed and nice bathroom. A bit small but nice none the less.

I’ve stayed at this hotel many times and probably will again, although I did report my room safe was broken a number of times and across a 5 night stay (I had 2 bookings and mentioned this problem in the review against the first booking as well) it was not fixed. It was an unusual blip in what is ordinarily a great experience at this hotel but I mention it as this amenity is very important to many travellers. I haven’t had this problem before - next time I will ask for a new room straight away. Hotel is very well priced for its location (near French concession area and the Bund), ordinary level of service, and while rooms aren’t super new/modern, they are generally well maintained and always clean.
