This is THE PLACE to be if you are visiting the Catskills. The area alone is a 10/10. You are right on the river w/ hiking trails nearby. We spent several hours at the fire pit and met so many other fun visitors. Dinner at the restaurant on site was delicious!!! The rooms come w/ all your amenities We had a kitchenette w/ fridge and microwave, I high,y recommend this place for a wonderful weekend

I went to Emerson on my honeymoon and checked in for two $35 day passes at this “spa” at 3:15 and ordered two drinks and a food platter, expecting a relaxing afternoon after hiking to use their facilities. At 3:45, after spending 30 minutes on their porch eating/drinking, I was told that the spa closed at 4pm and we would have to leave. When I checked in at 3:15pm and spoke with both the front desk and the spa, no one told me that the spa closed at 4pm, or I would not have paid for the food, drinks, or day pass for 30 minutes. I had zero time to use the hot tub or the rooms with a sauna or any of the other amenities I paid for. When I raised my concern that no one told me the spa was closing 45 minutes after my check-in, the staff was dismissive and rude. The manager refused to give a refund and did not express any apologies that her staff had neglected to mention the spa was closing 45 minutes after we checked in for a DAY pass. They did not seem concerned with providing any semblance of customer service and would rather keep our $35 than offer any sort of grace or concession. Needless to say, this was a terrible experience and was by far the worst part of our honeymoon.

They went above and beyond !! we have been going to the Emerson for years and this time when we checked in they assured us they had EVERTHING we ever asked for!! Skim milk in the restaurant and by the coffee at the front desk since last time they didn't have any, wine glasses in our room, thick Terry robes for us....... They made it clear to us they know us and want us to enjoy our stay. We always enjoy the large marble bathroom, the fireplace with a sitting area, the balcony overlooking the stream, the breakfast in the lodge, and the fridge stocked with bottles of water. Only thing missing is an indoor pool. We can't wait to return.

This was a birthday treat to myself and it was so worth it. The peace and quiet was just what I needed. It is in a beautiful setting with all of the creature comforts at your fingertips. But perhaps the highlight was the staff. They were so friendly and helpful. They define the meaning of hospitality. Other hotels should train their staff like this. And every worker I spoke to seemed so happy with being there. Big shout-outs to Jordan, Jackie and Kristine at the front desk.

Went here for a 2 night stay. Right when I checked in at night the hotel receptionists charged $150. Wasn't sure why but had it figured out at the end since I had a massage the day after it was credit for that. Didn't really have a good view with the money I paid for. Don't book it with ******* they up charge $300 for the stay. Just book thru the hotel website instead...

We were in a room in the Lodge, near the pool. The room was shabby and outdated but the bed was comfortable. The dining room that was nearby smelled old and musty although the view was good and so was the food. The restaurant prices were high and the portions are small. We paid $30 for chicken served with spinach and fingerling potatoes. We had no internet connection for the last day of our stay and nothing was offered by way of compensation, not even a free dessert or something comparable. The front desk clerks were very polite. Although the resort is ‘pet friendly’ we were told that if anyone complained about our dog we would have to pay some of the cost of their room as compensation. This is in addition to the hefty pet fee that is charged. I’ve never been told this at any other hotel. Overall, in our experience, this resort is not a good value for your money.

Saturday morning around 10am I went in to the spa to ask about packages for my friends birthday, the three of us were shocked with the lack of hospitality from the lady working the spa front desk. We were ignored at first as she spoke with a coworker then I simply asked what packages were available for purchase. All she replied was “it’s all on the website.” We were interested in spending money on multiple packages and her rude response and lack of help was honestly shocking. Lost business from us and anyone that asks about recs in the area!

Nicely located in the middle of the Catskills, just 2h30 from NYC, they have beautiful and very spacious rooms. You can have treatments in their spa. Their restaurant is perfect for breakfast an diner and you can eat outside weather permitting.

Mediocre experience :( Front desk staff were wonderful and friendly. I received an $80 pedicure that was basic and felt the girl who did my pedicure was in training, no conversation and seems scared of actually doing the pedicure……. When you go to a resort your expectations are a little higher. The room was silence (no music) and the lady literally didn’t speak the entire time to me which made it a little awkward My toe nail chipped as I was leaving the resort as she put to heavy polish on and no dryer (she said let them air dry) def wouldn’t go back for anything nail related
