Our family staycation was less than enjoyable marred by a filthy room and a lack of attention by staff. The attached photos show the condition of the room upon checkin. Dirty/stained sheets, sticky filthy phone, stained carpet, ripped drapes, lamp shades with bodily fluids on them, damaged screen door, and absolutely disguising HVAC system. The mattress was totally worn out with a big dip on one side. Uncomfortable at best. Supposedly this is a professional hospitality organization with systems in place to maintain and clean their rooms. I guess managers don’t inspect what their workers do and lack the training to understand what minimum standards mean. We did receive a phone call from a manager after our stay and after leaving a less than positive review on another booking site. The real issue of cleaning, inspections and maintenance was avoided by the manager and she only offered the excuse of “ we will be updating the facility next year” and invited my family back. Updating the room is a nice start but what is really needed is to hold staff accountable and make sure proper training and room inspections are done ahead of guest arrival. The room was eventually cleaned after 2 hours of waiting. We were compensated with a small room discount (10%) a free pizza and a game card for the arcade.

Everything was perfect until the breakfast buffet in the main lodge. There was a line and I couldnt see the price. When I got to the register an saw the small prices for buffet, I know why they didn't put it in big letters. $87 for family of 4 with coffee and hot chocolate for 2 kids. Absolutely a rip off!!. Buffet was subpar and not much good to choose from. Seriously, had much better breakfast at major hotels for free!! Avoid!

Room was DIRTY….no, I don’t mean that it wasn’t cleaned upon arrival, I mean that it was overall dirty. I moved the bedside table to plug in my phone and my fingers stuck to the underside edge of the table. Fitted sheets wouldn’t stay on the mattress, only to reveal what appear to be human body fluid stains. I moved to the other bed and slept fully clothed! Shower dark and gloomy with mold and mildew on the curtain. Carpet dirty even detectable through the earth tone color. Tile in the entrance was loose with pieces of grout popping out. Appeared to be ketchup, hope it wasn’t blood, on the bottom of the door. We were told no housekeeping during our 3-night stay, I’m not sure they have housekeeping at all. While I was here for a meeting, I can only assume the draw of this place is the water park across the street, as I can’t see any reason why someone would stay here for the room quality!!
