It was better than I imagined. A welcoming atmosphere was felt by many of the staff. In front of the sea, there was security right next to the beach chairs, so I was able to spend a relaxing time with peace of mind. The only disappointment was that the shower in the room only had cold water. There was hot water in the sink, but...

The hotel is beautifully set by a lovely beach. The rooms.are very large and comfortable and the terrace of our ocean view room had swiping vistas of the ocean. The restaurant is by the beach and we had very good meals there. The price-quality ratio of both the room and the food at the restaurant were excellent. The staff is excellent, dedicated and discreet. Special mention for Margaret from the restaurant staff, who was very nice and welcoming to us.

My stay at the balafon was amazing ! The pools , the beach , the bar , the staff everything together was such a great experience ! Specially lamin m. F camara and his team took amazing care off us. He made shure everything was perfect during my stay , he also made shure i could have a late checkout and shower before leaving because i had an evening flight. Was our first visit in Gambia and we have no regrets that we chose this resort. It is situated directly on the beach and an excellent location. Is walking distance from Senegambia where you can enjoy your time with very nice restaurants and bars. The craft market is there and also some mini markets and exchange money houses. The resortt is very, very cosy. We felt like home there due to excelent personell. We thank especially to Lamine and Fatou (exceptional employess with a warm smile on their faces every day) from the restaurant and Fatou from the reception who is very proffesional and kind. But, overall all the stuff was very kind to us. The room was very clean and we had no complaints at all. We had a fantastic view to the ocean and the pools. By the way, the pools are very clean and very well taken care of by the pool guys. The beach was clean and the ocean amazingly warm. What else can I say? Because of this resort and also because of all the gambian people treat we decided to come back here. No wonder that Gambia is called THE SMILEY COAST IF AFRICA')) Many, many thanks once again! We had an excellent stay again, as good as the last time. The staff (cleaning, catering and garden) were absolutely great. Special thanks to Fatou - The receptionist - for her professionalism and kindness, and also Fatou - the waitress - for her smile and her attention. The only reason we didn’t give 5/5 is that the wifi is still weak and the tv doesn’t work. Nevertheless we can’t wait to be back in december for our third stay. We warmly recommand the Balafon
