Overall I rate this hotel as 4 stars. Having said that we did have a few issues. Someone previous referred to this hotel as Fawlty Towers. For the first few days of our 18 nights stay I could see where he was coming from. Problems first. On arrival at the airport we expected to be greeted by the taxi arranged through the hotel. It was not there. After many phone calls our ride arrived. If we went again I would not bother with 30 euro taxi ride and would take a local taxi at about £20 at silly o'clock. When we arrived at the hotel a man spoke to us and claimed he was the taxi driver due to pick us up, he was on time but we told him to go away. Complete nonsense. We didn't tell anyone to go away. Even as a first timer I could tell the Gambians apart. He was definitely not there. I refused his card. No way would I use him. Our first room was large and comfortable but the safe didn't work. The next morning someone came to show me how it operated and agreed it was broken. We were immediately moved to a new room. The new room was large and comfortable but the toilet wouldn't flush overnight. Not normally too much of a problem but my husband was very ill with v&d due to fish allergy. Being ill and the toilet not flushing all night was very bad. They said they would fix it. We went away on an overnight trip and when we returned I was ill - nothing to do with the hotel. The toilet didn't work. My husband ran up and down the stairs a few times. The night man would flick a switch in a cupboard somewhere and the sewage pump would work again for an hour or so. We moved rooms again the next day as we refused to be fobbed off and they said no other rooms had that issue. We had toilet flushing issues again but this time the issue was fixed quickly. WiFi in the third room didn't work unless I stood outside our door. Plus points: The staff were lovely and helpful. Malick, our room attendant, was very kind and caring. He arranged for a fridge that actually got cold as the one in the 3rd room got cool only. The bed was very large and comfortable. High quality sheets and towels were a bonus. His and her sinks were good. Shower was good. Sprayed in various directions with easy to use controls. TV in room showed British football - big plus. Air con worked well. WiFi worked well in parts of the hotel. They had frequent conferences and seemed to move routers to suit the business people. Once we learned where we could get the best signal we could easily Skype call back to the UK. Sunbeds were very comfortable and plentiful. Actually we usually got a good WiFi signal by the pool. Pool looked clean and was used frequently by Europeans (albeit cold). Breakfast was good. Supposed to start at 7.30am but this only worked if we stood there and told them what we wanted. They make lovely porridge. Egg station was good for make to order eggs, hot buffet with sausages, beans etc. toaster, fruit juice, coffee, cereals, f

What can I say? Faulty towers eat your heart out, We booked an apartment tree rooms for four of us, apartment was at the top of some steep un even dirty stairs at the end of a corridor with buckets under dripping toilet overflows. The apartment itself was interesting! Air conditioning worked in one room, the windows didn't shut, the toilet in one bathroom was leaking and not affixed to the floor, the shower drain was blocked in another, there was a bucket of water under a dripping pipe in the sitting room with a swimming pool next to it, the wardrobe door fell off in one room, we asked to be moved and were given 3 rooms in the main hotel one room was rejected as yhe air conditioning was not working nor was the television, One of our party had to move as the door lock on their room would not let them OUT of the room, Breakfast is interesting first time I have breaded chicken drumsticks for breakfast,

We stayed at this hotel for two weeks and what a night mare we had. We had just got in at about 10.30 No Towels for a shower no kettle for a drink, had to keep asking for these things eventually got towels at 11.20, bearing in mind my husband was unwell on the flight resulting in being sick all over us both. So you can imagine how much we stank was not impressed. Following day swapped room because we were facing a wall. The room we moved to shower didn't work no hair dryer, took several attempts to get both up and running, had to keep asking for towels and when you do get them they were dirty or damp. Don't get me started about Internet or lack of they move the router if someone else asks for it. Food is very dull and boring, you get a choice of eggs then you've got beans small sausages noodles porridge every day doesn't change at all. No bar and the pool could do with some repairs not very child friendly. Yours j smith Stay at your peril.

Nice large rooms with a decent sized bathroom overlooking the pool which for some reason is green? Had a little problem trying to pay my bill when I first arrived as no one seamed to be able to get the card machine to work, on the third day I asked the beautiful lady in the reception (Mariam ) what I should do and she fixed it in two minutes flat , no problem in fact I've learned if you need something fixing, you go to Mariam , even fixed my internet when it wasn't working . What a gem this young lady is and a definite plus for this hotel. Be aware that this place advertises on many sites as having a bar, it does not, (one of the few negatives here and if staying here a long time the breakfast can be boring to the extreme so much so that I go out and pay for a breakfast at a nearby café instead of eating my included one at the hotel.

what can we say about a 4 STAR hotel which is not a 4 STAR hotel When you arrive the room is not even ready for you to stay on the trash side instead of the pool view well done after two days of asking we will finally change your room to the view pay for swimming pool a floor steward who serves no purpose apart from sleeping on the floor with the door open for guests to see no room cleaning no towels in the rooms on your arrival no room cleaning the only satisfaction is the reception well done to them in such a place be careful when booking if you pay by credit card add 3 PERCENT To the initial amount a shame the trolleys in the corridors no hygiene in these current times the risk is enormous leaks in the bathrooms the mini fridge bar which does not work no hot water in the showers broken cabinets finally the dream of a 4 star if you turn right quickly go left the shame

Great staff, very helpfull and friendly. Breakfast is very one-sided. (Almost) Full English breakfast or bread and butter. No cheese or ham, ... Cleaning could be improved. No towels when we arrived. Anything you ask, they arrange for you, but you should not have to ask for basic things like towels or pillow cases.

The atmosphere was so chilled, great for couples. It’s low-key and peaceful. The food was amazing 🤩 the chief was so good, I wish I could have brought him back to the uk lol . Hotel receptionist was abit rude, but the hospitality and cleanliness of the hotel was 10/10.
