Hotels Near LOTTE Department Store Castle Plaza in Seoul

I didn't have high expectations since it's a hotel optimized for couples rather than families, but it's a great hotel to go to with children. The overwhelming view is great and the service is also excellent.

The ground floor lobby reception is grand. The hotel room is impressive. But, the film ” May your day shine brighter than the stars” affects the city view. The ventilation of bathroom is too weak as it can't exhaust the hot air and smell from the toilet.

If taking subway you can head to exit 10 of jamsil station and you can go through the lotte world mall before street level, head straight, take the escalator next to the aquarium up, exit the main doors and cross the road to the left for the hotel. (It it not sheltered/ connected directly between the mall/ station and hotel). We took the side entrance lift up to the reception but if you go further down you’ll see the main car drop off and concierge. The staff service was really friendly, although at the check in reception we were given a list of rules and asked if we had any questions, so the hotel vibe felt quite formal and stiff. Was concerned about the rules on the swimming pool booking and bringing outside food in, but the staff around were kind and welcoming so we soon felt at ease. Was able to rent the required swim cap free of charge. Room was classy, spacious and bed and bath comfortable. We booked the lake view room but one can only see it at the side when nearer to the windows. We had indicated we were celebrating our wedding anniversary but there were no special greetings in the room or wishes at reception, which normally hotels would as part of their hospitality. The lake view from breakfast and the pool was beautiful! Heard it would be even more beautiful in spring! We enjoyed walking around the lake and exploring the restaurants on the other side. Great shopping location next to the lotte mall The swimming pool is small with one lane for laps and others for relaxing. There’s a heated jacuzzi outside and within the beautiful changing area was also has a hot bath and another neat amenities. The gym was huge and had so many machines! All in all a great and beautiful stay! Wish we stayed longer than one night! The only con is that you have the transfer lifts at the reception level each time you go out or in so you’ll just have to meet and greet a lot of people along the way.

It was really nice that Lotte World and Lotte Tower were close. It's less than 10 minutes on foot. I was worried that the route would be too long when taking the kids, but it was close enough to walk with a young child! I was also very satisfied with the breakfast for the price-to-performance ratio :) I couldn't take pictures of the inside of the hotel because it was so busy, but it was clean, the floor wasn't cold, and the boiler was warm, so I had a warm 2 nights!

It is location at a place with lots of food and drinks and entertainment. Not recommended for families with small children and elderly. It says short walk to the subway station, but short walk only reaches Exit 11, and a long long walk to the train at Exit 01 - total walking is almost 1 km, maybe 25-30 mins. I asked for early check-in, and the reply is ”subject to availability”, but I was surprised to learn that there is the charge of 10,000 won per hour. I only wished this information is made clear when booking the hotel. Overall, this is a good location for solo travelers looking for friends and young people.

I was introduced to this hotel by an acquaintance at a live show at KSPO DOME and stayed here for 3 nights. The front desk staff were all fluent in Japanese and were very kind, which I was very impressed with. There were two bottles of water in the fridge in the room, and there is a 7-Eleven and CU nearby. The limousine bus stop from the airport is also about a 10-minute walk away, so it was easily accessible. They also arranged a taxi for me, and although I was unfamiliar with Korea, I was able to have a comfortable stay!! I'll definitely use your services again when I visit Korea again. Thank you!

Location of the hotel, excellent. Not noisy. Room is not small, took the lowest priced room. Breakfast was included in the price. I liked the friendly staff, they speak a little English. There is luggage storage available, which was very valuable, under their care allowed to leave. Parking lot. Didn't like that there was dust in the room which was cleaned up afterwards. Overall for the price I am satisfied.

It was really good because we could enjoy a walk at Seokchon Lake after eating. The night view was a bonus! And the bedding was really comfortable and nice. They gave us 3 bottles of water as a basic, and they gave us more if we asked for more. But there was a water purifier on the first floor, so there was no problem. Bathroom! It was nice because it was big. And there was a bath... My child really liked it. We came in late at night after Lotte World opened... It was perfect for a foot bath! Good, the hot water comes out well :) Lastly, the check-out time was 12 o'clock, which was really nice. ㅎ I was happy that I could enjoy a fun trip to Seoul here. It was a good choice. ㅎ I'll visit again next time. Oh! Everyone at the reception~ Thank you for your kind service.

The room was very clean. The amenities were very plentiful, including combs, toothbrushes, cotton, cotton swabs, razors, hair dryers, bath towels, towels, shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel, which was very helpful. Unlike the ones in Japan, they don't lather well, so I recommend bringing your own if you are concerned about this. The hair dryer turns off automatically when it gets hot, so if you have long hair, it's best to check the temperature of the hair dryer before drying it, or to towel dry it thoroughly. There aren't many restaurants nearby that are open until late at night, but there are many convenience stores, so you can boil water in the pot in the room and have a cup of ramen. There is a TV, so you can watch Netflix and YouTube. It was a hotel that I would like to stay at again! Thank you!

There was a concert at the Olympic Hall so I used it! It turned out to be great! It was spacious and clean! I didn't have any issues with the water facilities as mentioned in other comments. Breakfast was also delicious and served as a buffet. I'd like to use it again if there's a concert at the Olympic Hall!
