Good location near the Seafest jetty. Decent hotel with decent sized rooms. Nice sunset view from the room window. However, the rooms are quite old and the air conditioner is not cold at all. Otherwise the shower water pressure is great. The breakfast buffet has limited options and the food is below average. The egg counter gives pre-cooked eggs instead of made-to-order

Environment: The whole resort is very nicely decorated, and it is more cost-effective than the water house. Hygiene: The staff will do a good job of insect repellent. Although the weather is hot, there is basically no need for mosquito repellent lamps in the room. Service: The housekeeper will confirm our needs to go back and forth to the town every day, and he is very serious and responsible. The puppies in the resort are also very cute. The housekeeper said that they were originally wild, but now that they live here, the staff will help take care of them. The puppies are very friendly. They will lead the way when we return to the room at night. The staff are also very caring ❤️

Overall I enjoyed our stay in sky water villa. When I was booking I read the reviews also worried that they are a bit old, so that the houses might not be well maintained. But during my stay I feel like the houses are used but still in okay manner. The best thing for this hotel is that I think they have the best house reef, and you can see turtles at night from your balcany. I went snorkling a few times during my stay I saw quite a few clown fish aka nemo and many fishes and even a sea eel one day. They also provide “galss” kayak which you can watch sunset on it. And the best thing they offer is that the tours you book with the villa starts around 10 am, you can just get ready and wait in your room, and when the boat is here the staff will get you from your room, and you’ll finish the tour around 3-4 pm which is the afternoon tea time at the villa. Instead of in the town area you need wake up early and meet and wait at the jetty around 8:15 am . And power supply is stable just may be ocassion blackout but it would turn back on very soon. However I do think they need to clean their air con as the one in our room seems very dusty, we had to clean the filter ourselves, they were very dusty. And during the afternoon coz our villa faces the sunset direction the air con feels a bit not strong enough. And the aircon outer unit is installed right at the room’s wall so it’s a little bit noisy, I’d suggest why not just use a more powerful window unit instead. The food is so so, but it’s difficult to cater everyone’s preference for food. The hotel is not cheap and maybe not very cost effective compare to hotels in other places, but to be fair i think if you want to go to semporna, this might be a reasonable option as overall semporna and malaysia is very expensive for tourists. And i higly recommend to stay at least 2-3 nights instead of 1 night to fully enjoy and relax yourself.

1. I booked this hotel to go diving in Sipadan. As a result, the customer service of Ctrip was very nice and the trip went smoothly! In this regard, I am very satisfied with this trip! Then the price is very beautiful. If it is set elsewhere, 4000 for two people can't run away. We add Sipadan, and Madagyung for a total of 6 dives, only 4000. 2. On the day of arrival, the reception staff of the hotel are very friendly, they are ready to welcome drink and lunch, and the room is ready after eating and drinking, and the checkin experience is also very good! 3. The room temperature is more comfortable with air-conditioning and electric fans. The bed is soft and the pillows are relatively high. There is an extra bed by the window. The bath water should be heated in advance, and the lighting group control is very 👍. Except for a little problem with the toilet, everything else is ok! 4. Meals, each meal has cold drinks, hot drinks, desserts, pastries, fruits, vegetables, beef and lamb, fish, rice, fried noodles, pasta, and salads. It's already great for me! The taste is not bad, you can also order other big meals to eat, the price of drinks is reasonable. It is a place to spend money to buy and enjoy. 5. The experience of diving, the biggest reward of coming here is to get to know a group of diving enthusiasts from all over the world. The hotel’s beaches are not care for anything, just for diving! The staff in the dive shop are very friendly, the little brothers will help take care of everything, we only need to dive and dive!

Sea Star Perfect resort. Perfect location. Perfect staff. Wonderful owner, ERIC, who has great PR 👍🏻. Staff is respectful and friendly. I cannot ask for more. Highly recommend Sea Star Resort. We bought a 3D2N Sea Star Resort package. It included a return transfer by van from Tawau Airport to Semporna boat jetty which took almost 1.5h, a 10-minute boat ride to Sea Star Resort, a whole day of island hopping and snorkelling, all meals (breakfast, lunch, tea and dinner 👍🏻), free usage of inflatables, transparent paddle boat and snorkelling gear and unlimited supply of drinking water. The room is very clean and spacious- had a king size bed plus a day bed. Bath area was spacious and attractive. Really love this place very much. Look at the video I have attached! Air conditioned, good internet connection and extended balcony. Food is local buffet style. We enjoyed all our meals there. You will get an assortment of dishes. For dinner, you get good large prawns 🍤 and fish👍🏻. Tea is special- besides 2-3 types if local cakes, you get an endless supply of banana fritters which are very addictive 👍🏻 The sea water around the resort and beyond is crystal clear. You can always see the marine creatures in the water. From 4pm, use of inflatables, transparent paddle boat and snorkelling gear are supervised. Very kind staff who are ever ready to lend a helping hand. We are grateful to Eric, Gordon, Amsyar, Lisa and all the Sea Star Resort staff. We will be back! This is the second time I have come to Semporna. This time I brought a family of young and old to stay in this newly opened homestay. The house is simple and clean, and the kitchen utensils are complete. The backyard also has a washing machine so that we can wash the clothes... Great! The homestay is located in the town within a 5-minute walk and there are supermarkets, restaurants, pharmacies, etc... but the caring boss also provides a fixed shuttle bus to the dock area to avoid rushing in the morning! Because there are fewer tourists at the time of arrival, seafood is much cheaper than in peak season, so we cook by ourselves every day in the hotel. Semporna's fresh seafood paired with hometown taste really feels like home abroad!

Hygiene: Super clean, super quiet and safe, 10-20 minutes drive from town, with a special car to town or island hopping pier at a fixed time every day Service: Breakfast is a fixed fried rice noodles, ham, milk, and bread slices every morning! The service attitude is still very good, and the boss lady is very responsible!

It was my first time to stay in a water house. I thought it was perfect. It was newly built and very comfortable. It was exactly what I wanted. The service staff were very shy and friendly. I was also very satisfied with the dinner. I woke up early in the morning and watched the sunrise. It was amazing. Looking forward to Anmei. When I went out for a walk at night, I could see many starfish and fish coming out, and small fish could also be seen in the room. It rained heavily when I fell asleep very late that night. The roof was made of iron sheets, and the sound of rain amplified. Many times, when it is windy and rainy, I will be a little scared and dare not sleep. At other times, it is perfect. I will choose the water house next time I come.

Crystal Water House, sitting on the charming jelly sea, has a clean and hygienic environment. The water house rooms are beautifully decorated, and the blue sea and sky can be seen through the windows, making people feel like they are in a dream world. Here, you can also snorkel for free and experience the beauty of the underwater world. The owner of the water house is hospitable and attentive, and will also provide professional snorkeling guidance. Although my partner and I were injured during the trip because we are not good at water, the owner of the water house thoughtfully bandaged our wounds and treated them properly. All in all, this is a very good place worth recommending. The Crystal Water Villa in Semporna, Malaysia, boasts a charming jelly sea, a clean and hygienic environment.
