This is the truth about White Dove "villa", it's not a villa, like as Europeans would know, it's a suite. Our welcome was thorough, but once we'd settled in, we saw the truth of the suite. It was advertised as the most private room, which it may very well be for their premises, but the Casa Sedona hotel next door negates this, with rooms looking over this suite and balcony and their air-conditioning units are VERY noisy, right next to this suite! The infamous breadmaker - a little unnecessary - we'd have preferred a larger refrigerator and cupboard doors that stayed closed. Breakfast - a mish mash. For example, one day, we were offered quiche with bacon and salad. Unacceptable for the price we paid, a selection of regular breakfast items would have been more welcome. However, the amenities are excellent; free hot and cold drinks all day and night and awesome homemade cookies!!! The pool and jacuzzi area is fabulous, but none of this outweighs the mosquitoes at dusk on the balconies. My husband was bitten 12 times, 4 for me. Some people might say it's normal at dusk, but coming from the British climate, some advice would have been appreciated. The innkeeper did give us some fantastic recommendations for restaurants, a list even, and they even made the bookings, which was above expectation. Overall, it's a mixed bag. We've stayed in much better hotels and villas around the world, but at these prices, we expected better. The suite is spotlessly clean but all very old and needs refreshing.
