Staff were all very friendly from the moment we checked in. The lobby area is nice and has a mellow vibe. If you pass through the lobby, there are some nice outdoor sitting areas and a small playground on one end, which our 4 year old enjoyed. Complimentary ice water and lemon water, as well as cookies that seem to be put out around check-in time, are a nice touch. You can tell that there is an effort being made to make the place nice. Our king/balcony room was bright and clean, the bed and pillows comfy, and we enjoyed the modern fixtures in the bathroom. The included breakfast is a standard hotel hot breakfast (make your own waffles, scrambled eggs, sausage, fruit, cereal, etc). The staff keeps everything well stocked, and it definitely gets the job done. The noon check out time is also a fantastic feature! My one critique is the pool. It seems to be the most neglected aspect of the place. It's OK, but it just seems a bit dingy. The ceiling is peeling in several places; and the pool itself was too cold for my liking. There is a relatively spacious hot tub, though, so I warmed up in there. I admit that I may be pickier than most when it comes to the pool, though, and the pool itself was very clean at least. All in all, it was a great stay and would definitely stay again.
