Hampton Inn by Hilton Schenectady Downtown

Beautiful Hotel with friendly and accommodating staff. Our room is perfectly clean and well appointed. Amani at the front desk was a jewel! My parents are elderly and she went out of her way to make them feel at home. The staff at this hotel should be commended for their thoughtful attention to detail.

Very clean and quiet. Located in the center of town. Bed was comfortable and plenty of towels and an in room coffee machine ,microwave and fridge.Pool and exercise room available also.We were here for only one night but would be good for a long stay also. Would definitely stay here again.

This hotel is amazing! It has amazing rooms with lots of space, nice comfy beds and a huge bathroom that is so clean. They always have great food for breakfast. The staff are really nice. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visitng Schenectady!!

My husband and I had a scary encounter with a white male who seemed irrational likely drug induced only 30 feet from the hotel entrance at 8:30pm Saturday. He came around from side of hotel, asked if we were know the area and my husband responded "no, sorry". He then came toward us demanding $3 and proceeded toward my husband in an aggressive manner. I got to the car, shut my door and as my husband went to sit in his driver's seat, the man reached over and punched the top of his head. He got in drove away and took measures to report to hotel / police. This hotel lot should be better lit and perhaps monitored by security given the City Mission Homeless facility behind it. Be aware.

I had to unexpectedly come to the Schenectady area for a sad family event, and needed a place to stay in the area for a couple of nights. I was hesitant about staying in the city itself, however, several family member assured me that the area was ok. The hotel is located next to a renovated historic theater, and in the immediate couple of blocks there are several restaurants. The hotel was better than expected, and all the employees were welcoming and professional. My only complaint was that the indoor pool was closed; other than that my stay was fine, and I would stay here again if necessary.

Wonderful customer service from that handsome gentleman at the front desk kaber!!! Making us feeling like home. Very humble , always smiling & willing to help ..will be visiting more to see his handsome smile (cute)!!!! Break fast 10/10 and nice location.

I recently spent four nights here while awaiting a closing on my house. I was accompanied by my dog. I am disabled and need extra help to get things in and out- staff was excellent and the room was ckean and comfortable. I couldn’t have asked for more, thank you.

Great stay! Comfortable bed, clean room and friendly staff. Breakfast was free and yummy. Lots of choices for everyone. Prime location, near lots of the places we wanted to visit. There were plenty of parking spots in the parking lot, even though we arrived later at night. Only con was tv wasn't a smart tv.

I traveled with some friends in two cars to this location & arrived hours before check in. We were going to be heading to a concert that evening and we’re hoping one of our rooms were ready so we could leave our luggage there. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. They coordinated with housekeeping several rooms for us, prior to our departure later that afternoon. My king/ shower only room was large and accommodating. The water temperature and pressure was spot on! I loved the new setup for the soap and shampoo in the shower, and it smelled terrific! The bed was very comfortable, with a variety of pillows and a firm mattress. Although I didn’t get much sleep, I slept very soundly. I never heard any noise from the hallway or adjacent rooms. The pool and spa always looked inviting but I didn’t have time to use them. Breakfast was comparable to any other Hampton Inn with bacon and eggs. I always like that you have low calorie yogurt and hard boiled eggs. If I ever come to the area again, I would definitely stay here again. Good restaurants nearby, safe area, very clean hotel, all made for a great weekend.
