Sayulinda Hotel

We booked Sayulinda Hotel for a women's retreat and the staff was wonderful, the rooms were clean, and the hotel itself was beautiful. A wonderful stay!!

Great hotel. The staff was very friendly and the hotel was recently built so everything is new. Was very happy with the TV and Internet options. I was able to watch the game in English and the kids had cartoons in English as well. I also had fast WiFi and was able to get some work done remotely. Both are rarities in this area so I was very pleased. Lots of restaurants are close by and only a few blocks from the beach. Very pleased.

I’d say 4.5 out of 5 stars! Beautiful hotel! The atmosphere was exactly what I was hoping for…colorful, lively, very clean. Lovely staff (Jaime at the front desk was so interesting to chat with…I swear he knows more about Canada than I do! and the beautiful ladies at reception who were always so helpful in answering our random questions, and securing taxis on our behalf- thank you). The couple that runs the attached breakfast restaurant are friendly, gracious, hard working. Please remember to tip them as this is their own business. The rooftop terrace was something to see…stunning view, lovely decor, even a live band one night! This hotel is right in the fun, lively centre of town. Very noisy at night from all of the live music everywhere. Everything is within a 10 min walk away. Bring good shoes, as the streets and sidewalks are very uneven, and you really have to watch your step. Our room wasn’t too bad in terms of the nighttime noise, you could hear it but we still slept. It kind of became a white noise. Apparently there are some rooms that are more noisy than others, but another couple we spoke with said the hotel staff relocated them to a quieter room with no problem. The rooms are supplied with earplugs. So if you’re looking for a quiet place, this isn’t the place for you. However, if you’re looking for a beautiful, lively, right-in-the-heart-of-the-action experience, 30 second walk to the beautiful beach, then you will love it here! So why not 5 stars? We were a little disappointed that we weren’t allowed to bring our own alcoholic bevvies up to the terrace, you’re only allowed to order from the bar. It was expensive so we hardly spent any time up there because of this. The rooms (standard) had no dressers to put our clothes away so it was difficult to stay organized for two ladies and all of our clothes. Norma did a very nice job of cleaning up after us. Thank you Norma!! There are only 3 selections for breakfast. Two of them include eggs, and the third is simply a fruit plate. I’m not an egg lover, and a plate of fruit, with no proteins or carbs, left me hungry and in need of food an hour later. However, my sister likes eggs and said the egg dishes were good. So because of this, I felt that the cost of our room for the week was a little high, but I do not regret the experience. I do recommend this beautiful hotel for those looking for a lively experience. In general, this most amazing little surf town with a huge zest for living the good life was an experience like no other. Completely different from the all-inclusive vacation, and I am now hooked on Sayulita. I loved Puerto Vallarta, but now that I have been to Sayulita, this will be my go-to spot in Mexico going forward. It is safe, the locals are friendly and laid back. Even the beach vendors are awesome and gracious.

We booked this hotel at the last minute after we vacated a very rustic hotel on the beach about a block away. The staff was accommodating and easy to work with. Our ocean view room (201) was basic, but ample. It had a good bed, a working safe, a nice balcony with a hammock, a hot shower, a private toilet, and plenty of room for two people to stay. The rooftop pool area was surprisingly comfortable and well-appointed. The complimentary breakfast was sufficient. The location was great. The ONLY negative I have to report is that the center part of the hotel is open to the outside. While this is a beautiful feature, I didn't account for the number of birds we'd hear chirping in the morning. It wasn't a huge deal, but worth noting nonetheless. We typically stay in boutique hotels when we travel. This one was par for the course. We would stay again.

This hotel is expertly done in every way. It is spotlessly clean, staffed with friendly and helpful people, and located steps away from all that Sayulita has to offer. Unfortunately, one of the things that Sayulita has to offer is punishingly loud music...very close by...until the early morning hours. THE MUSIC CAN BE VERY VERY LOUD. Consider yourself warned. There is not disturbing noise coming from anywhere inside the hotel, and it is completely out of their control. The hotel does as much as possible to minimize the suffering. They provide earplugs, and the patio doors are well engineered to seal out as much noise as possible. In our ocean view room, on the far end of the hotel, on a Saturday night, the decibel meter on my phone registered 85-90 decibels. With the patio door closed, the noise dropped to 65 decibels. Our first room was the closest to the offending bars across the street, and the staff was very helpful and understanding about moving down the hall. It was not noisy every night. The bar across the street at acoustic open mic night at least once during our stay. The roof top bar and pool area are beautiful. The infinity pool is refreshing. There was never an issue with crowding or difficulty finding a spot. The balconies of the room have hammocks, but not really anywhere else to sit. Ours had a great view of the ocean. Breakfast is good and plentiful. The location is steps from a variety of great restaurants, the beach, coffee, minimarts, and some thumping bars. Overall, this place is amazing. If you go expecting it to be quiet, you have nobody but yourself to blame.

Fabiola at the front desk was so helpful with everything we needed and booked us a great trip to the Marietas Islands. Housekeeping was friendly, flexible with timing, and kept the room very clean. The bartenders at the rooftop bar were very attentive and friendly. And all the other staff were excellent as well!
