We stayed at the Comfort Inn for two nights in late September. Check-in was a breeze. Sheila was super nice and helpful. Actually, everyone we encountered who worked at the hotel was very nice! We used a luggage cart because we were staying on the second floor, and had to push it down three or four different hallways to get to the elevator, which is in the back of the hotel. That was a little inconvenient. The carpet in the hotel is old, but otherwise everything was very clean and updated. The bed was comfortable and the temperature control unit was easy to use. We ate breakfast both days. It was a typical complimentary breakfast - eggs, a waffle machine, toaster, yogurt, sweets, fruit, etc. The coffee was very good. The hotel was super quiet at night. It's very conveniently located and is near shopping (TJ Maxx, Dunham's, Meijer, and the Dollar Tree). Also, Applebee's and Burger King are close for restaurant options. The drive downtown and into Canada was about 10 minutes. We would definitely stay here again.

Average room and ok for a one night stay. This is an older hotel with very thin walls. Several construction workers were sitting outside our window until 11 pm drinking and using profanity. If we traveled through the area again, we would likely select a different hotel.

Very old hotel, needs a facelift and a cleaning crew. Hot tub out of order. Chunks of cement missing from the pool. Stains on the bed and mattress. Dry wall missing. Refrigerator was on but not cold. Carpets were gross. Outside was as tired as the inside. Just a grungy dirty feel. All in all I do not recommend.

I’ve been going to this hotel twice a year for five years. Almost every time I am given grief or attitude about something from the front desk. I’ve had three wonderful employees and one or two people who are really sassy. It’s disappointing.

The hotel has had recent construction which explains part of our bad experience. The Good - Shower was nice - Price was low - Lots of restaurants in the area - Easy to find The Mediocre - The staff attempted to make the breakfast good, but fell short. The coffee and juice, in particular, were terrible. The waffles were good. The Bad - The entire hotel smelled unpleasant, perhaps due to the construction - The bed was a bit small and too hard for us - The internet security was poor and my anti-virus software had to deal with multiple threats every time I connected - Most of the exterior doors are not well located for the parking spots and the hotel does not provide any tools to move large quantities of luggage - There is no elevator, so people on the second floor need to carry it up the stairs. As noted earlier, the staircases are not near most of the parking spaces, which can make for a long unpleasant experience
