On ne vient pas pour la deco de la chambre, pour le reste le site est très beau.
Pour les non véhiculé, la marche jusqu'à l'arret de bus ne prends que 15 min

We choose the biological station because of the good reviews and it was great! Off the road and an oasis of silence arrives besides the wildlife. Check in efficient and received good information. We drove back to Arriera, the building name of our room about 1 kilometer from reception and dinning hall. Basic room, good beds, spacious bath room, clean and great to be one with nature. No airco but we didn’t miss it. The fan was sufficient. The food is varied, Costarican and value for money for $15 per meal, no alcohol! We had a pleasant 15 min walk through the forest to reach the dining hall. Pitch dark at night so bring a flash light or your phone. The free 3 hour guided tour was excellent and saw lots of wildlife. Keep in mind that you are a guest of a research station with many students coming to visit. Also day visitors are welcome. Very nice experience, nice staff and beautiful location. You can walk for hours if you want. Strongly recommended!

The counter staff were very patient and helpful. They made our stay stress free. The kitchen staff also very hardworking. Food is reasonably good . The park staff and workers are all very friendlly and helpful. Had a very good time staying there for more than 2 week. The room service was not average . Had to remind them to clean the room thrice.

One should be careful about the ' Auto latches ' which may lock automatically behind us. ( So we should ensure to carry the keys always with us !!)

Nous avons passée la matinée à la découverte de la station. Guide très intéressant. Après des explications sur l'histoire du site et les travaux qui y sont menés, nous avons été sur un premier sentier pour trouver des chauves souris. Nous n'avons pas eu de la chance mais le guide nous a instruit sur leur habitat et les différentes plantes de la zone. La seconde partie à été l'occasion de tomber sur un groupe de singes hurleurs particulièrement expressifs envers nous. Des lézards, des abeilles sans dard, une vipère, un paresseux, un iguane ...

Incredible with nice rooms, great dinner, walking trails, tours, and a cool bridge over the river. We did the night tour and it was incredible! The property is quite large and the nature trails on the property are incredible. The rooms were modern and very clean and the bed was comfortable.

La Selva is no frills accommodations with no air conditioning, but it is a working biological station with animals and plants that you won’t see anywhere else. The guides were amazing, especially Chris on the night tour. It was a unique experience that I will always remember as a highlight of my time in Costa Rica!
