Je hebt van die plekken waarvan je zegt, ‘daar zou ik wel willen wonen.’Schitterend historisch pand gelegen in mooie tuin met zwembad met adem benemend uitzicht op imposante bergen. Maar ja, het is een hotel waar je slechts kunt verblijven. Je voelt je er direct thuis. Bij aankomst stond er iets lekkers op de kamer met karafje Madeira.Het zijn, in mijn ogen, die kleine dingen die een verblijf tot een tijdelijk ‘thuis’ maken.Tel daar bij op dat het personeel alleraardigst is, het ontbijt prima verzorgd is, dan kun je maar tot een conclusie komen, het is een TOP locatie! Van harte aanbevolen.

We loved Casa da Piedade - it's a gem sitting in the middle of magic valley surrounded by lush mountains. When we arrived, we had to call the manager, Conceição, to get into the building but we managed. Next day, we met Conceição in person, and she was just the sweetest host speaking perfect English and taking care of breakfast which was excellent. We truly enjoyed our 2 night stay and we wish we stayed longer.

Beautiful area. Superb house. Conceicao’s welcome was perfect. The garden and the swimming pool are a little paradise. View of the mountains. The room and the bed very comfortable. Small cakes on arrival in the room.

Wonderful, beautiful mansion where you feel like you're in a fairy tale. Everything is really beautiful: the garden, the swimming pool, the interior of the house, the furniture, the common spaces, the living rooms, the comfort of the room. The welcome is fantastic: waiting for the visitor, positioned on the bed, is a tray with two sweets and a small bottle of Madeira wine. Everything wonderful! We were very impressed by the whole context. The breakfast is also super abundant and with attention to detail. Congratulations to Rubina, the girl who runs this charming place. Don’t know where to start. From an easy booking and a very reasonable price, arranging for us a perfect car rental and easy late self-check-in to a thank-you little something in the room on our departure. The place is well kept, run by wonderful, kind people, doing their outmost always with a smile. Breakfast is good enough and you can also get a full English one if you ask for it. Room was warm and shower always hot and we really enjoyed spending evenings alone or with other guests’ company by the fireplace, chatting, playing cards and of course, sharing a bottle of wine. Finding a complimentary bottle of prosecco in the room as it was our birthday was just a cherry on the cake. Private parking was also a nice touch to make things even easier. The location is amazing if you like mountains and a perfect starting point to explore all the island, as we did in 6 days. will be the 1st choice for sure if we’re ever coming back to Madeira again.

Superb experience for 4 days spent at Casa da Piedade. This quinta has a lot of charm and is very well maintained. Special mention for the garden and swimming pool. The location is ideal because it is 3 minutes by car from Sao Vicente and close to Seixal. We had room 2 which is very good. Very comfortable bed. The staff were attentive without being intrusive. We plan to come back because we loved this little oasis. Perfect for unwinding and relaxing!!!

We absolutely loved our stay here. From the beautiful garden and pool area to the tasty breakfast everything was great! Our favourite hotel in Madeira. Location slightly out of main areas so helpful to bring a car. We didn’t have a car and it was still doable around a 30 minute walk to restaurants.
