Very quite and nice place, hotel has 4-5 swimming pools and children’s playground very good for family, only the location is not in the central of sintra and difficult to find.

Hotel is een groot modern complex op een heuvel midden in de natuur, verpest het hele zicht daar en past totaal niet in de omgeving, dat had echt beter gekund. Ligt te ver van Sintra, taxi nodig of met de auto. Over auto gesproken, er is parkeerplaats op het terrein én een zeer goede grote en gratis parkeergarage onder het gebouw. Onthaal was 'Portugees' vriendelijk en daar bedoel ik mee : beetje onderkoeld, wat zakelijk en zonder hartelijkheid, 'professioneel' . Douche zelf goedkoop en niet passend . Grote en donkere kamer, onmogelijk om te lezen in bed - is een gewoonte van ons op reis -. We vroegen aan de receptie extra lampjes , ze beloofden daar naar te kijken en ja, daar zijn ze wellicht nog mee bezig... Groot en comfortabel bed. Safe. Terrasje met 2 stoelen , zicht op een haag . Goeie airco. Wispelturige wifi, zou niet mogen in een 5sterrenhok Redelijke badkamer met douchecel en WC afgescheiden door glas. Goed zwembad met voldoende ligzetels en goeie service , handdoeken, bar... Fitness is zeer beperkt en niet gezellig. Restaurant werkte enkel met buffetformule, er was vrij ruime keuze en er werd elke dag wel een ander accent gelegd. We hebben er 3 maal gegeten. Eten was dikwijls gewoon koud en hier en daar liet kwaliteit te wensen over, bvb biefstukjes -live cooking , gebakken terwijl je er op keek - leken op schoenzolen. Daartegenover staat dan weer dat het niet duur was, het is altijd hetzelfde, je krijgt wat je betaalt... Zelfde voor het ontbijt , omeletten koud en povere kwaliteit, helemaal geen 5 sterren. Horecapersoneel was uitermate vriendelijk, maar soms té vriendelijk en té familiair. Verder was het oeken naar iemand die effectief Engels verstond of praatte, heeft één keer gezorgd voor mobilisatie van het hele team om een misverstand over een glas wijn op te lossen, ja leuk maar zou eigenlijk niet mogen.

Hotel muito bonito, bem decorado, cim vistas magnificas para a area envolvente. Atendimento excelente e simpatico como é habito nos hoteis do grupo. Adoramos a experiência e ainda estamos a comecar e a conhecer melhor todas as comodidades do hotel.

Lamentablemente mi experiencia en este hotel fue muy decepcionante, especialmente por la falta de consideración hacia las personas con discapacidad. A pesar de reservar y pagar por una habitación adaptada, me encontré con la ausencia de barras de apoyo en el baño, las cuales no estaban fijadas a la pared. Esto representó un grave riesgo para mi integridad física, ya que las barras eran de ventosa, de quitar y poner) se caían constantemente, poniéndome en peligro cada vez que necesitaba utilizar el baño. Como persona con discapacidad, me vi obligada a recurrir a los baños de las zonas comunes para evitar accidentes. Es inaceptable que un establecimiento hotelero no cumpla con las normativas de accesibilidad, como lo establece el Decreto de Ley n.º 163/2006 y la Directiva de Accesibilidad de la UE. Esta situación no solo pone en riesgo la seguridad de los huéspedes con discapacidad, sino que también demuestra una falta de respeto hacia sus necesidades.

It's Friday night and I drive with my family from Lumiar ,Lisbon after a cool Uber ride on good scenic road for about 45 minutes to spend the week end at The 5 star resort of VILA GALE @ Sintra thats about 6 km away from The Sintra National Palace. First impression is always a lasting impression and this resort presents a real imposing and cool picture with great view of the palace and the verdant hills This resort though in pretty good public demand and difficult to get booking unless booked early especially AR these times of summer holidays ,we managed to book a spacious apartment just across the main entrance that boasted of two comfortable bedrooms with double bed ,a living room again with extra bed, dining table an attached balcony over looking the main building and the hills all round .A fully fiited out spacious kitchen withvall.modern gadgets to cook a good meal completes the live in area and comes with two car park in basement ad well . Well mintained a garden with manicured lawns fountains ,3 restaurant , free WiFi, 3 swimming pool with one indoor completes the facilities this 5-star hotel has to offer in addition to other standard features that go with a 5 star rating . Checking in was a breeze with staff offering all the required inputs for us to enjoy a comfortable weekend. The experience of a dip in the pool and enjoying draft beer and fruit juice from.pool side bar was a giid start to our holiday. Dinner at the Buffet restaurant was excellent with Chef João Afonso churning out a great spread doing a great justice to lovers of Vegetarian ,vegan and non veg clients with adequate variety for each . On a busy weekend ,their restaurant Manager Hernany Aniceto with able support from Asst Mgr Guillerme Simoes ensured all the diners were seated comfortably in their spacious restaurant with a welcomr warm smile in their face . I am sure all the guests must have enjoyed their dinner with contentment with copious supply ,Variety and quality that cist a guest about 29 Euros if not booked along with accommodation and want to keep their option open to cook in or eat in their A la carte restaurant . This is indeed a great place to.put up your feet with family n kids and weather being just right at thus time of the year at Lisbon and I would recommend this to my followers for a good holiday !

Esperava um atendimento melhor e uma estadia mais agradável, parece que anda muito mau gerenciado, a conta no final tinha coisas que não consumimos no bar e precisaram achar o garçom que nos atendeu, não confiaram em nós, o check-out foi super demorado por conta disso e inclusive essa bebidas não foram consumidas porque o atendimento estava demasiado lento e desistimos e o rapaz não cancelou o que gerou toda demora

I recommend it to anyone who has children who like to scream and whose parents don't mind if they are disturbing other guests. For those looking for rest and silence, I strongly advise against it, the spa has no control as parents and children do not comply with the regulations of the sauna, jacuzzi, Turkish bath and indoor pool, everything is invaded by children of any age and shouting and everything is permitted, there are no rules that determine who should attend what and under what terms!!!!??? Definitely kid-friendly hotel. I'm never going back. Even during the week there are children. 5 star hotel leaves a lot to be desired, it's the basics in a 5* hotel..... Everything was in the room next door. Poor soundproofing...
