A pleasant surprise, I wasn't expecting it to be so pleasant, the view of Velas and Pico island. Seriously, it was a view that everyone should be able to enjoy one day. Wonderful space. I recommend it and would like to do it again one day. Apartments equipped and prepared to have a meal if necessary.

Outstanding service. Exquisite views. Personal service from the staff ( including a ride to and from a restaurant on our first night) We enjoyed the breakfast daily. The accommodations were spacious and clean with water views . The grounds are lush and well tended. We had a sunset happy hour by the pool with one of our favorite views of the trip.

Cantinho das Buganvilias is a prime example of the kind of tourist accommodation the azores need more of. Clean, modern and with friendly staff. The restaurant serves excellent food and the chef Bráulio and waiter Lionardo are very attentive and accomodating.

A small resort but where we can immediately see that it is managed with the utmost care and a great desire to provide the best it has to its customers. Upon arrival we had a sign on the counter to call Max, he arrived in no time even though he was full of work, he took us to the room. He upgraded us because “as we are out of high season and when we are not busy, we like to give the best we have to customers”. We went from a T1 to a T2Superior, no one forced him to do it, but he did it. I would like to suggest that due to the difference in price, it is worth booking this type of accommodation because the view is stunning. The restaurant works seasonally but they gave us the names of the best restaurants on the island. Breakfast is as expected in a space like this. If you return to São Jorge this is the place to stay.

I really liked the Hotel, both for its location (very close to the airport and Velas), for the friendliness and availability of the staff, for the quality and breadth of the facilities provided (big rooms, good bathroom, possibility of cooking in the apartment and even the modesty and silence of the installation itself). The hotel has a privileged view over Velas, where you can also see the islands of Pico and Flores). Breakfast is very pleasant with foods that characterize our first daily meal.

was 6 nights there, very nice facility, spacious rooms and facilities. Ate fish twice in the restaurant, very tasty! Gin and tonic on the bar terrace in the evening with a view over the bay! Pool was often used as well as protected bathing bays in Velas. Access to the sea 5 minutes from the hotel only suitable when the sea is calm. In the evening and at night you can hear the Cory's Shearwaters. Breakfast includes scrambled eggs, boiled eggs, fresh fruit, cereal, yogurt, toast. Staff very friendly, helpful. no public Transport, rental car advisable. In Vela's big supermarket.

From the spacious apartment we had a beautiful view of the ocean and Pico. The large swimming pool is great for cooling off at the end of the day. The complex seems modern, but when you look more closely it is all due for renovation and not really of this time. Kitchen cupboards that do not close, old kitchen appliances, warm bedrooms (or air conditioning in the living room) and a nice spacious bathroom but with dated content. If you are not so critical it is a nice place, but adjust your expectations of a four star location. Dining was not possible during our stay due to a party on both days.
