Very cute hotel close to the historical sites of Santiago. Attractions like Patio Bellavista are in walking distance and the staff are very nice

We stayed a couple of days at Hotel Casa Zunartu. The folk there are extremely friendly and go out of their way to assist with whatever you want help for. The very good natured and very tall young man, in particular, really gave very willing help with whatever problem we had. It is a very pleasant place to stay. Although we did not eat there, the restaurant appeared well patronised and the food looked very good. Brighter lighting in the room would have been nice. Overall very cosy and historically interesting establishment. We can definitely recommend it. Terry & Leilei Little

We booked this hotel for our honeymoon based on it's location and the online pictures. Our driver initially struggled to locate the hotel because it is not well advertised from the outside, but we let that go once inside, as it is a very aesthetically beautiful hotel and we were excited to be there. However, the staff really struggled to communicate with us since we only speak English, and would sometimes walk by us (rather than serve us) while we sat in the restaurant because of the language barrier. We even factored in that we'd be safe staying here language-wise since hotel is in a central part of downtown Santiago. Our room was spacious but we had multiple problems with it. To start, our room had a large window above the door and the hallway lights stay on 24/7, so it was never fully dark in the room which made it very difficult to fall asleep. We kept trying to ask staff to turn them off in the middle of the night but nothing worked. To make matters worse, the walls were thin so we could hear noise at all times, and our room lacked the cleanliness expected.

Great location near the historical area. Nice large rooms in an old building with a lot of character. Friendly staff with very good English. Nice courtyard to sit in and have a meal from the cafe in the hotel. Comfortable beds and a nice shower.

Excellent hotel! Fantastic front desk staff, extremely friendly and helpful. They stored our luggage for us before our room was ready, which allowed us to walk around Santiago unburdened. We did not eat at the cafe but the area was very nice with an outdoor patio. We received assistance in calling a taxi for 3am for a very early morning flight out of Santiago. Definitely recommend staying at this hotel. Be careful on the streets surrounding as there are pickpockets. Suggest waiting inside the lobby if you’re waiting for a taxi and keeping any phones or wallets in a secure bag.

The hotel has a great location, being close to La Moneda Palace and Plaza de Armas and other tourist attractions close to the city center. It is also very charming, with impeccable decoration and its architecture appears to be original. However, the room where we stayed was clearly not the same as the one in the reservation photo and was on the first floor, in front of the terrace where people dine, as the establishment also offers a cafe/restaurant service open to the public. Therefore, in addition to feeling a lack of privacy, we were affected not only by the noise of people who were consuming the cafe/restaurant service on site, but also by the hotel employees who take care of the kitchen and other maintenance on site. As it was not soundproofed, we were also disturbed by the noise from guests above our room and those passing through the corridor with their luggage and chatter. The room also does not have good lighting isolation, so the brightness of the hallway lights interfered with our room, mainly disturbing our night's rest. The bathroom was clean, but it has a small shower area and its plastic floor gives us the impression that it is going to break. The shower is heated for a specific amount of water, which means you have to shower in a regulated manner so that there is no shortage of hot water for the next person. Furthermore, the breakfast included in the daily rate is restricted, a mug of hot water for you to decide whether you will drink tea or instant coffee, a portion of scrambled eggs, two slices of poorly toasted bread, half a glass of fruit juice available, a fruit yogurt available and a portion of granola. The room had no way of communicating with reception, making it necessary to go to them to resolve any problem. However, the hotel staff were very friendly and attentive in whatever way they could. I strongly recommend those who wish to stay at this hotel to ask in advance about the floor and room where they will be allocated, as well as request a room without a terrace. This way the chances of disappointment will be much lower.
