In 8 or 9 trips to Santiago since 2008, this is the best hotel I've stayed in so far that fit my budget. Maybe demand is depressed for now in the Centro area because of working from home or tourism being way down due to Covid, but this felt a lot like a 4-star place that's tremendous value for now. Room was spacious, there was a room safe that was easy to use, bed was comfortable, and housekeeping staff did a good job. Can't comment on the breakfast or the restaurants (I don't think my room rate included the breakfast). Location is excellent, close to entrance D for the Ud. de Chile Metro. There's also a market on that corner with long hours and most supplies a person would need. The Paris-Londres neighborhood is also nearby with the food options, and it's walking distance to basically anywhere downtown, especially in the eastern half. Barrio Lastarria is about 15 minutes' walk or 2 Metro stops. Desk staff had varying levels of English proficiency but were always helpful. It's not gringolandia but neither are the prices. I'd rate it an excellent choice.

The hotel is clean and located in the heart of Santiago. The staff are amazing. Everyone we encountered was friendly and helpful. There are bus and train stops within a couple of blocks of the hotel. Water, beer, wine and snacks are conveniently available for purchase in the lobby any time of the day or night. The hotel is still ramping up its operations to become more “full service” so some services, such as an in-house laundry service, are not yet available. The pool/bar area is beautiful and makes for a great place to hang out. Compared to a four star hotel in Chicago, some may find the interior a bit lacking, but my family and I really liked it.
Comfortable accommodation with a complete service, always with guest satisfaction in mind. Mercure Santiago Centro has a fitness center, pool, breakfast included, and free WIFI. We are located in one of the most famous districts in the capital.

We stayed in this hotel for two nights while visiting Santiago de Chile, and my experience was pretty good. Check-in process was smooth with no complaints other than the lack of staff to escort the luggage. We got a room in the middle of the building and the room was spacious and comfortable with working heater plus air conditioner for warning up from the chilly Santiago weather. Unfortunately we were unable to enjoy the breakfast due to the constraints of our tour but overall we had a very nice stay and would recommend this to anyone who's looking for a good accomodation in the centre of Santiago.

Hotel location is good, the side path into the back of the hotel has a parking lot, easy to drive. The room is ok, the interior is neat and clean. There are not many varieties of breakfast, but they can basically eat and eat well. It is about ten minutes walk from the hotel to the Weapons Square, the Presidential Palace and other attractions. It is convenient to go shopping, and there is a Santa Lucia Mountain next to it. It is also close to the San Cristobal Hill by car. Feel that this hotel is good value for money 👍

My wife and I tried to check into the hotel a little earlier than expected and there were no rooms available. So the receptionist would hold our bags until we’d get back from our day out in Santiago. We enjoyed a great evening out in Santiago, and arrived back at the hotel at about 11 pm to check into our room. We walked into the hotel to check in and get our room key - there was no security guard outside, no requirement to swipe the room key, and the door does not automatically close. My wife and I were talking to the receptionist IN THE LOBBY, I mentioned to the receptionist that the door should automatically close or they should have someone at the door, a second later a thief snatched my wife’s phone, which was under her arm. The thief ran out, jumped into a waiting car, and took off. We sprinted after the man, but he was long gone. The hotel advised the Carabineros (Chilean police) wouldn’t arrive until 4 am, that they were having an unusually busy Tuesday night, and we might as well wait until tomorrow morning to file a police report. As we were going back and forth with the receptionist and my wife is crying hysterically, and we are advising guests walking in of what just occurred, the receptionist is trying to quiet us down and to not scare the guests. The receptionist was indifferent and ambivalent, no apologies, and showed no consideration. Not reporting it immediately was a critical mistake, and surely done on purpose by the hotel to avoid having a scene of several police officers and my wife crying in their lobby. After barely sleeping we went to the PDI, the sophisticated Chilean police investigators, they advised that they couldn’t take the report, had to be the carabineros. We went to a carabinero station and filed a report. At first, the carabineros gave us a very hard time for us not having filed the report immediately. Telling us we made a huge mistake by not reporting it immediately, and even thought it was a little over 12 hours since the incident occurred. However, after pleading with them, explaining what the hotel told us, stressing we are foreigners and do not know the laws in Chile, they finally made a report. The Hotel Sommelier Boutique is NOT safe and they do not care about their guests.

Breakfast is simple, but it is appetizing! Praise! Never have a room on the 4th floor! Too small and too small! The color of the room is too depressed! The floor is too slippery, be careful. The video is a restaurant, the restaurant decoration is not commented, things are very delicious! In general, eating in this house is the right choice, the room is too bad...
Just off President Kennedy Avenue, our hotel is less than four km. from Costanera Center and Bicentennial Park. We are surrounded by several restaurants, shops, and businesses. The Santiago city center and Arturo Merino Benitez Airport are about 20 minutes away. Our 17th floor restaurant features panoramic views of the city and mountains.

We spent 2 nights/3 days here before boarding our Viking cruise. Highly recommend! Val at the front desk managed to get us us an early check in, which was much appreciated after we flew overnight from the US. Room was modern and comfortable with a GREAT view. We were surprised and thankful there was a USB and a 110v plug as we brought the wrong converter … would have been a real problem if we couldn’t charge our devices! The restaurant on the 17th floor was excellent, both for the food, the service and the wonderful view of Santiago’s financial district and surrounding parks. We ate breakfast there each morning and had drinks on the shaded patio before dinner each night. Ask for the hard copy menu in English if your Spanish is as rusty as mine. If you want to keep up your exercise, you can use the hotel gym OR the long, wide path that goes through the city that is right outside the hotel front door. Not sure how long it is (just did 3 miles) but bring your sunscreen as it is not shaded. Just across the street from the hotel is a building called CV Galeria. It has about 8-9 restaurants / bars across three levels, all with outdoor seating. Great options for dinner after a busy day touring Santiago with no Uber ride required! One tip: contact the hotel ahead of time to arrange a pickup at the airport. It will save you time and angst trying to navigate the airport and choose unknown transport… great to have a guy from the hotel holding up a sign with your name! In summary: great centrally located hotel in a safe area.

GGuest UserNice hotel, good service, excellent price:product relation from the front desk (Venezuelan), room maid, breakfast and particularly and reason for this review: Tibor, the young enthusiastic, though experienced barman. The next pictures show the drink, but the great taste you must experience yourself! Ask him about: Smoked Old Fashion (1st series) and last (for today): Scottish Business!
GGuest UserI loved this hotel! The staff was really wonderful and accommodating. Juan was at the front desk each morning with a greeting of ”Good Morning Madame.” Nicolas was very helpful in arranging my stay prior to the visit, which was helpful. Every staff member was really friendly and accommodating. They served a small breakfast buffet in the main level each morning, even cooked eggs to order if you'd like. I went to this country traveling as a solo female. This was a nice location because it's walking distance to several restaurants and a lovely park. I felt completely safe in the area. My favorite was the Peruvian restaurant! I had this amazing seabass dish with scallops and calamari with a sauce on top. This was all on a bed of risotto. Chilian wine...fantastic! I wasn't familiar with this region's wine and was surprised at how good it was. My meal, paired with a lovely Chilian Sauvignon Blanc Reserve was so delicious that I went back and had the same thing the next night.
There is also a hill about a mile away that has the Christ statue, that is very walkable. There is a Japanese Garden on the hill. If you can't walk there, there is a funicular and the Uber car service worked just as it does in the US. One tip, if you're from the US or North, the maps will be backwards on Google. Just google directions to get them in the direction you're going. I got lost the first day until I did my Google search on how to fix.
The only problem I had was the language. Very few people speak English. I even went to a restaurant, fine dining at a park, quite lovely, but nobody spoke English and the menu was only in Spanish. To make matters worse, my phone died! Be prepared with how to use Google Translate, that will help, but if your phone dies, you're dead in the water. I found it very hard to communicate with people, which would not have been as bad had I not been traveling alone. I found it to be very isolating. I even took a tour with an English-speaking guide. I thought great, now I can chat with people, but NO! It was a guide who spoke Spanish, then translated to Portuguese, then English. I was the only English-speaking person on the bus. The museums, a few are only available in Spanish so no point going to those if you don't speak Spanish.
Other than the language barrier, I had a lovely time. My highlight was my hotel and the staff!
JJon BarfootThis was not our usual pick for Santiago but we had meetings nearby and took a chance. The suburb that Almasur resides in is a quirky and friendly neighbourhood with a charming plaza of restaurants, cafes and bars. There are a few private schools and colleges, the Main Street is cobbled and lined with Plane trees so it has an atmosphere rather like Paris! The hotel is brand new and perfect for business with large rooms. The cafe bar down stairs is great for working and meeting. I will be staying here again.
GGuest UserWe flew into Santiago on an overnight flight and used booking to stay for our first night. Arrived at the airport and needed to WhatsApp the hotel to arrange for a complimentary ride. It’s 10 mins away and the shuttle was new and clean. We attempted to check in a little early @ noon, but we’re told if we wanted to check in before 3PM we would be charged an extra 1/2 day rate. We decided to wait. After having a coffee I spoke to the front desk @ 2PM and they agreed to check us in early (I assume it’s because the hotel was extremely quiet and they had ample space/rooms). The hotel is clean, but quite a ways off the beaten path. Not sure how safe the area is as the hotel is gated with a wire fence and looks desolate and a little prison-like. Also, the hotel seems newer, but the walls are super thin and a little noisy because of this. Breakfast was very good and Lorenzo was helpful at the front desk.
BBoarding_gate123My husband and I stayed in an executive room for 5 nights in January-February 2020 while holidaying around South America. Positives: - a massive fresh, clean and modern room with nice views - good breakfast buffet - good wifi - friendly staff, except for the breakfast staff who were a bit aloof. - within walking distance to the metro station. We Ubered a lot, and this worked fine. (Taxi drivers, however, struggled, to locate the hotel for some reason.) - a nice cocktail bar on the rooftop. Negatives: - we had repeated issues with lack of hot water in the shower. Not acceptable. - we had to ask four times to get our laundry picked up. - no room service for breakfast, lunch or dinner. We were travelling for 3 months and sometimes you're just too tired to venture out for food. Had this been a business trip, I'd had been absolutely appalled as I tend to have room service dinner so as to get a moment's rest and solitude. Simply inexcusable not to provide this service. - music from the cocktail bar carried into our room one night, necessitating earplugs (we were on the highest floor). - the cocktail bar is, understandably, very popular with locals. While I fully support the hotel also providing a space for locals, there should have been some tables (as well as sun loungers during the day) exclusively reserved for paying hotel guests, because it was quite difficult to grab a spot in the relatively small area both during the day and evening. (The hotel appeared to sell daytime pool passes to non-guests.) - about to check out, we called the concierge to ask someone to help us and come pick up our luggage. To our surprise, they informed us that this service was not provided (?!) and that they'd had to ask for permission from someone higher up to send someone to help us. I thought it was a joke at first, it sounded so absurd. When we checked in, there was a bellboy who automatically took all our luggage so making a big show about providing this when checking out was just very odd. All in all, however, a solid four-star hotel.
AAAYAThe best choice with perfect services. RQ Santa Magdalena Hotel was new and very comfortable hotel with so nice interior and exterior. It's so best location near of Mall Costanera Center and CBD. Very beautiful views. Also the hotel rooms with the kitchen, Including all kitchen equipments and accessories. Hotel's front desk was very kindly and warmly. My flight was in the morning early after my staying at the hotel. Front desk (Her name was Catalina) delivered my breakfast to my room previous day. Also she gave me very nice room with excellent views. The window was looking to the Sky Costanera Center, I'm so thankful for the hotel's front desk Catalina and her colleague who was a guy. I want to say them thank you so much again. See you soon in beautiful Santiago de Chile again 🇨🇱💕👍👍
ZZHENTAOThe environment is beautiful, the location is good, there is a large supermarket next to it, the rooms are comfortable and hygienic, and the morning is rich. Facilities are very user-friendly and the scenery outside the window is good. Good value for money, but also staying next time.
We stayed here for 3 nights on our visit to Santiago. The hotel seems to be brand new with some of it still under construction and not quite all the way operating yet (huge empty racks for a wine collection, no bar, restaurant not always open). The staff was extremely helpful and spoke English. The room was very nice, comfortable, and quiet. Breakfast was wonderful with servers and menu choices rather than a buffet. The location seemed a little ify - our first night there we walked many blocks in search of an open restaurant since the hotel restaurant didn't open until 7 and we were hungry. The only thing we could find was a Chinese restaurant on the corner in the midst of all the street vendors. Side note - just down the street there is a fabulous restaurant called Chilenazo but it seemed to only be open for lunch. As mentioned by another reviewer, finding the hotel can be a bit tricky. It's located on the 3rd floor of a building that has stores and a gym on the first two floors and there is no signage. The best entrance is on Romero Street around the corner from the actual address.
GGuest UserFirst vegan review. My wife and I are vegan and we were not expecting much. First day they had little cartons of almond milk but after that day they did not have any anymore. They have different fruits, strawberry, cantaloupe, no bananas, that's odd. and some not fresh fruit like pineapple in syrup. They also have coffee and tea. Oats that you can make with hot water from the nestle coffee maker hot water. Cereal like corn flakes and dry bread. Pool closed ”under maintenance” Bad things: Room key kept failing. Had to get it reprogrammed multiple times. Toilet does not flush well, had to do it multiple times. Soap bars are tiny and not very soapy. Might be the water but not sure. No free coffee in the room, just a hot water electric kettle Pros: Clean room. Good service. Across the street from a Starbucks, grocery store. Walking distance from bars/restaurants. Overall, a good option for a budget hotel.
CCUILIIn the upscale community, there are many good restaurants around, and there is a Chinese restaurant with street foods on the opposite side of the hotel. There are six recommended dishes, each of which is very good. Order a bottle of Chilean eighteen arhats, the price is similar to the supermarket. The design and decoration of the hotel is very artistic, and the first floor has sculptures and paintings for sale. The service is very good, the room is spacious, the breakfast choice is more, the welcome drink is available, and you can go to the terrace restaurant on the 9th floor. The companion said that the service is much better than the nearby Ritz Carlton service. I also borrowed a kettle from the front desk to boil hot water. The restaurant on the first floor is also very good and the price is reasonable. There is also a Japanese restaurant in the hotel. There are a shopping mall at three or four intersections.
